We had Coach Mumme as our OC for one year. Our current OC constantly speaks on "playing fast." They just went for a visit with Coach Leech.

We use tornado as our nascar plays. The play and tornado signal from a coach (circling finger in the air). All are quick game but one, 4 verts. We find that defenses get impatient stopping quick game and safeties creep up after a couple of plays then I call 4 verts or something we tag verticals on the outside receivers. Running the ball in my opinion defeats the purpose of going nascar. It’s either quick game or home run for us. Db’s and linebackers have to be more sound than lineman. It’s easy to be gap sound. Not so much at db or safety. Kirby Smart said after losing to LSU, it’s hard defending them cause LSU offense does it. Draw the dbs to press coverage with quick game and its over for them. They went nascar and took shots on 1st and 2nd down.

I would have to disagree about running the ball in Nascar. Some of our biggest plays have been hitting a deep ball and then running up to the line and gashing a pissed off mis-aligned defense for a 18 yard touchdown run with an untouched runner.

92 Mesh Group, LLC I have seen that happen. I believe it’s a better chance of doing anything when you’re a pass first team anyways cause defenses not expecting it as much
