D- did absolutely nothing to address the glaring need on the right side of the Oline. Are we really going to ignore the fact that we needed 4 QBs because of the Oline?
B+, brown is a good pick. Going to match well with hufanga. The kicker at 3 is probably the better move that people hate. He would have been gone by 5th round and we need a kicker. If he pays off we have a long term replacement for ghould. They addressed the o-line with UDFA’s so not worried about that. We got TE help and some defense help. All for cheap. I think this draft is going to pay off more than some think. We will have to wait and see.
I agree I believe these picks will pay off in the long run and I agree with everything else that you said but the addressing the o line with udfa’s won’t cut it but only time will tell
The draft picks, considering where they had their picks at? The needs that were needed, were addressed. The first two picks I really liked, because we needed a safety, and Jake Moody is a good kicker. He helped keep Michigan in a lot of games as well.
Couldn’t agree more man, people are expecting us to draft starters for every whole which is impossible considering where we picked, I think we did well especially from what we were dealt with
I give it a very respectful C, a lot of questions but you think about it they must really believe in what they have brewing within McKivitz, Feliciano, Moore enter name of person I’m forgetting the name of, this could be either the draft of making stupid picks, being too “cocky” or the key pickups we needed to unlock #6.
Loved Brown. Moody is good, just felt like it was too early for him. Instead of the TE out of bama i felt like we should have taken the RT out of Ohio St. Luter could be good, but he needs work. Beal playing at Georgia hurt is production. I feel like he could be good in a year or two. Loved Winters. He is a freaky player. Willis could be that future FB. Loved Bell. He is a dawg on third down. Graham i dont know much about. Guess we will see. I would give it a C. Not getting that RT in the third round will be a killer next year.
3rd round pick for a kicker is questionable but we NEED a kicker and if he works out then we will forget all about where he was picked. Where we picked Whishnowski was questionable but boy did that work out
Would have loved to see Blake Freeland from BYU go instead of Latu. I don't hate the TE pick but with Right Tackle being a need I feel like that should have been our pick. What do I know maybe we see some crazy growth from some of our younger players.
Hope to live long enough for the 49ers to be relevant in a draft. The draft is what built their good teams and then they started trading away their draft picks for quarterbacks who never were and never will be.
Are you serious? This wasn’t the best draft for the niners but how can you say they are not relevant in the draft? Let me remind you of some of the proven talent this franchise has picked in the lynch/ shannahan era. Nick bosa, DJ Jones, Hufanga, deebo Samuel, Dre greenlaw, George kittle, mike mcglinchey, Reuben foster, Fred Warner. aiyuk, Drake Jackson, wishnowsky, Richie James, Elijah Mitchell, Brock purdy. Have a little faith in the players this front office selects considering they have a proven track record. Let’s go niners! Tight ends can block pretty good too doesn’t have to be a lineman.
We've been killing it with draft picks, bro... What are you even talking about??? I can't even name all the studs we've gotten in recent years from Round 3 through UDFAs...
Id say a nice Bplus we got what we needed we have the best coaching staff in the nfl we can make a ok player be a good player udfa will get us a tackle we going far this year boys

Well to be fair, no chance they were going to find a replacement for McGlinchey who was either the best or second best blocking rt tackle in the league and way better at pass protection than given credit for, late in the third round. Anyone thinking they would is delusional. Personally other than picking up McCaffrey, which was huge, we are digressing as a team. Games are won and lost in the trenches and while we have some of the best individual talent, Trent and Bosa, collectively we just no longer are at the top of the heap where it counts thanks to that Trey draft fiasco that nobody has taken accountability for yet. Oh well, still capable of playing some exciting football and have a good enough roster to scare the top teams so anything is possible and could be much worse
That's what I was thinking I kept saying dude draft a FUCKING o line Trent Williams almost retired this season 💯 and our offensive line needs to improve
C at best. At least a couple of these guys are going to be valuable players, but unless Colton McKivitz takes a big step forward, the teams biggest weakness went unaddressed.
@@JuanYe_West Right, they can trade now with the cap space so people down grade this draft. But they did sign depth, a UDFA that might work like others, Nick Mullins, Kevin Givens, Poe, Mason, Mostert, etc. Larry Krueger likes him and made a video about him. He's an OL from a Div 2 he's really strong and a nasty mauler named Joey Fisher. Mel Kiper said after teams worked him out including the 49ers he could go 3rd to 5th rd b/c he ran a 4.9 -40 and benched 40 times. He had an hand injury during the Senior Bowl so wasn't invited to the Combine. He would probably start out on the PS. Shepherd Univ. held a pro day on 3/28, during which Fisher, 6'4" 300 lbs did 40 reps of 225 lbs, with representatives from 31 of the NFL’s 32 teams in attendance. He can play OG b/c of his size too. At the Combine, only six players across all positions did more than 30 reps of 225, led by USC offensive lineman Andrew Vorhees with 38. Again, Fisher also showed off his speed, 40-yard dash in 4.90 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.67. Among the OL at the Combine, Georgia’s Broderick Jones had the top time in the 40 at 4.97 seconds, while Blake Freeland led the 10-yard split at 1.68.
Update: We may have found the biggest hidden gem in franchise history, with UDFA Joey Fisher, the fastest and strongest OT at the combine. He has an amazing back story.
I can't go higher than a D. I like the move up for the safety but a fucking kicker at 99? Especially when OT's Nick Saldiveri, Dawand Jones, and Blake Freeland were all still on the board? Yes, kicker was a need and the Pats took 1 in the top half of the 4th but they could've traded up into the 4th above the Pats with draft capital this yr and or next. The TE Latu pick was trash as hell too, again with CB Kelee Ringo still on the board, with DE Adetomiwa Adebawore on the board each were way better values at that point and also needs. They bungled this draft badly
Wait, I’m confused they keep saying the kicker we drafted is the highest kicker drafted in the NFL since 2016 but I thought the Raiders pick in 2000 Janikowski in the first round is the highest pick a kicker has ever gone
to me, this was a disappointing draft for the 49ers, their first pick should have been an OT, since that is what they need the most. so as things stand now, they are still weak at right OT.
