I grew up in this town, class of 1990, at 7:06 to the left, the little white building was my Dad's hair salon. Good memories still love my little hometown🥰 who else grew up here in the 80's?
I used to live on 324 south 19th. I used to go to Sunshine Pizza all the time!!! Do they still have the old Burgerville? I went to Condon Elementary school, and St. Helens Jr. High. It's crazy how much is still there!
ya but i haven't released it yet, i have like 40 videos already recorded but i just release 3-4 a week. And i keep recording new ones so i always stay at 30-40 backlogged.
@@sexncheesefries7731 My thoughts are not altogether complementary and based on old experience so take this with a few grains of salt. Millimeters beneath the surface, Columbia County is deeply white and small minded. Innovation is not appreciated, in any field, and the school system is sub-par. Like any place, there are many good people there but I have always found the general tenor of society to be, well, backwards and preoccupied with itself. The County is still run by a clicque of good ol' boys and change is a four letter word. OTOH, the river, the back country and proximity to the ocean, the mountains and the city are big pluses. Also, inevitably, change is coming as it transitions from mill town to bedroom community.
@@larrybuzbee7344 thank you so much! We have 3 boys, a 7 year old and 3 year old twins and are moving to Oregon. We just haven’t picked a town yet. All possibilities are open. Any views on Albany or Beaverton? I really appreciate you responding!
@@sexncheesefries7731 So, if southern Oregon is an option I would highly reccomend you look at the Ashland area. If it were me I would look for an old farmhouse 10 miles or so outside one of the little towns in that area. If you are more focused on the Portland(ish) area, take a look around Silverton.
I grew up there, thanks for reminding me why I left. St. Helen's Blvd. from 14th St. to the highway has got to be one of the ugliest most depressing small town main streets west of the Mississippi.
@@birddaily973 Just got off the phone with my HS buddy who lives on Columbia Blvd. near Jackass Canyon. I miss my friends, but not the Jackasses or their yawning Canyon of Ignorance. Ask not for whom they bray, it's the Mango Mussolini.

Burgerville is still here
What year did you graduate?
Gostei! Pude conhecer um pouco a cidade. Obrigado pelo o vídeo!
It looks so dreary. Like a gloom and doom kind of town. Almost like something from a horror movie.
Depends on the weather and season. Did you know the movie "Halloweentown" was filmed here?

This is Oregon not Mississippi
@@birddaily1715 You have a keen grasp of the obvious. How very St. Helens. Your grasp of the not so subtle seems weak tbough.
