Call Of Duty 2 will forever hold a special place in my heart because it was the first COD game which I played. For those who don't know, COD2 was a massive hit in my country India and even when Modern Warfare was released in 2007, it didn't overshadow the massive popularity of COD2 in India at all. It was surprising for many but it was what it was. Also, I actually liked COD Ghosts very much. I don't think the game deserved so much hate. I loved the storyline and the incredible graphics. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I actually loved Call Of Duty Ghosts😅
CoD2 was still popular, especially multiplayer, even few years later when CoD4 servers were mostly already dead, but I liked CoD1 the most, it was really game changer in that time. Years 2003 and 2004 were so good in games and hardware started be more afordable so you could finally play modern games, it doesn't matter you had 25 FPS, but it worked which was really change, I miss that time. 😀
I worked on CoD3, at Treyarch. It was actually a 9 month grueling death march to make a game to match CoD2, that took almost 3 years to make. The pressure was unbelievable from Activision, and we had just spent 9 months crunching to make CoD2: Big Red One, converting PC code and art to fit the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox. We were exhausted and spent after working mandatory 12h days, 6-7 days a week, and they dropped us into CoD3, demanding us a full CoD experience in 3 new Consoles (Playstation3 wasn’t even launched yet, and Nintendo GameCube was weak sauce compared with the Xbox 360 and PS3). So we worked non-stop for 9 months creating it, 6-7 day a week, late into the nights. I still have PTSD from the workload. All the while, gamers were sending us a barrage of hate, telling us Treyarch would never make a game as good as Infinity Ward, creator of CoD2. But we persevered, and I’m very proud of CoD3, with its innovative gameplay, incredible graphics and vehicular multiplayer.

Na, they would wreck it like cod 4 with crates and other paid items, taking away from the feeling of acomplishment. If they just updated it to a new game engine with improved graphics then yea all for it but adding other uslesss stuff then no.
GOD Ghost maybe not bad as they said. It provides lots of prolific battle fields set-up, underwater, ice land, train, jungle, radar station , even in space. From my view, it should deserve one of top 3. BTW, the story is completely great, Perhaps it could be made as another series.
Yeah mate, definitely, Infinite Warfare was underrated as well, best COD campaign I ever played out of them all, I was actually at war on downtime when I played it on my last tour, memories.
WAW is definitely one of the best games to be released, it showed the gore of ww2, and it is historically accurate compared to vanguard which somehow the Japanese armed with German weapons
I actually really liked the Ghost Campaign. I never understood why people hated it so much and I really would've liked to see how the story ends in the 2nd game. I suppose it wasn't meant to be.
Yeah. I mean, i dont think it was anything that special, but still i liked it a lot. I think people shit Ghosts more for its multiplayer. Howhever i hated how the game ended on a cliffhanger
Ghost was AMAZING, the campaign was awesome and unique, nothing like it now. Aliens was a fun change and was challenging. Multi-player was dope for camping snipers and gung-ho players. Used to make big iq plays with the traps in Multi-player.
Same but Idk about the one coming out this year, the single player looks alright. Not too good but i dont really play single player that much. I just hope the multiplayer is as good as mw2 2009.
@@dances998 Playstation was something what only rich kids had, most of normal kids had some old computer and played Doom 2 even in 2003. 😀 When you got used to PC with 1024x768 screen and games from late 90s, everything on playstation 1 and 2 looked so pixelated to you. I remembe playing on PS2 with my cousin around 2004 and even in that time as a 12 years old kid, I was pissed off by low FPS and low resolution on CRT TV. But in 2000, it had to be really interesting to have PS2 or at least PS1, becuase PC hardware was still too expensive and PS was for most of the kids only way how to see some 3D graphics, but that changed in only few years and gaming PCs started be very common, in 2004 or 2005, it was already so visible that PS2 is technology from previous century.
I remember starting Ghost and what a masterpiece it was to behold. From the first story to the whole satellite crashing, it was the most amazing thing to play.
CoD1 was really intensive single player experience in that time, it's like neverending battle, really interesting game in that time. Unfortunately, CoD2 was one of the first games with autoheal which damaged future gaming experience for a long time, but it was still really good game. CoD4 was probably the best classic FPS multiplayer game of all time. I don't even remember games after CoD5, it looks all same to me. I think I played Black Ops for the last time, but it didn't take me much and it was constantly crashing, I probably played even that with "no Russian" mission, but that's everything what I remember from that game. Later CoDs? I absolutely don't care about them. I like old FPS games, but today FPS games are full of that online balast and quest systems and gun upgrades and character upgrades and perks......it's everything so annoying in games which were supposed to be FPS, I like RPG games, but I don't want too much RPG elements in FPS games, I just don't like modern FPS games. I think the best FPS games of all time were RTCW, FarCry1, maybe Half Life 2 and such games from that time, I can play these games every year and it's still fun, I can't say that about modern FPS games. It's that complicated and (because of open world and quests) too long that I don't really want to play it again, I mean mainly games like FarCry 3+, it's interesting in first 10 hours, but then? It get's boring.
The gravity gun in HL2 really put that game high above a lot if not all other games in a sense of "fun". I loved to kill players by ripping a urinal off a wall and launching it at their heads 🤣🤣🤣
It's fairly evident that since it all began, the graphics were clean and realistic. But especially for a shooter game like this, only mature audiences could take the pitch. NVIDIA and AND are always credited with special thanks for all the products they handed out to render these open world 3D graphics.
Ah yes, The main thing I remember from cod waw, is the privets names… not the zombies, not the Japanese front, not the dark grit & dismemberment, the privet names…
The 2003 call of duty was my first gun game i ever played. I was happy they have mobile game on it but i wasnt expecting it to be more like a 1 vs 1 something i wish i could play 2003 version though. Bring back memories
4:35 Can't help but notice.. These games don't have sequels. It is more of clone, rather than a continuation. It is like scooby doo cartoons.. the same stuff every time, but with another background put in..
The best Call Of Duty for my opinion: 1. Call Of Duty (2003) 2. Call Of Duty 2 3. Call Of Duty: World At War 4. Call Of Duty: World War 2 (26.05.22; 01:12)
As much as people like to hate on Call of duty, they’re still one of the leading innovations to the FPS genre as remember they were one of the first to popularise 3D iron sights in games.
if imma be honest, I actually liked ghosts, AW, IW and vanguard. I like the campaigns in the first 3, but the campaign for Vanguard is hollow, I hated it. but the multiplayer for Vanguard is actually really fun.
3:38 fuck i remember playing this in like 2014 that specific scene is when the delta team are trying to take down a russian jammer in new york (u play as Derek "Frost" Westbrook) friggin amazing
It shows that the franchise tried to be liked every year(like returning to the WW2 in between modern ones), regardless of how terrible the quality falls. I still like the old ones.
Nothing will ever beat the sound effects of call of duty 2. It literally made you feel like you were at war with a battle going on. Now a days, you can tell the actors are screaming in a quiet recording booth.
Best CODs ever made: -United Offensive -World at War -Modern Warfare -Modern Warfare 2 -Black Ops I played also others but these are gold piece of history. Phenomenal games, which have a special place in my heart. I completed them many times. And when I hear the soundtrack of Modern Warfare 2 I literally cry... That was my whole childhood
I started on COD2 playing during lunch break at school in a local hosted lobby with a dozen mates. To this day, I have never played any of the story modes of any cod game. Gotta say the games I enjoyed the most and have the most memories playing with mates are on Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare 2019.

I really loved the single player campaigns of the earlier call of duty titles. I hate that they turned call of duty into a repetitive online clusterfuck pvp game instead of focusing on making epic story lines for single player. Lets face it, they just got lazy and figured they'd make easier money selling it as a pvp arena style game. Never played call of duty after cod 3.
I feel you, bro. Long, epic stories, single player campaigns like MOH:AA, COD 1-4 were my favorites. I never enjoyed multiplayer arenas too much (only Quake 3 back in the day, at the office's private network 😁), and the games now are so expensive with a 3-4 hour single-player or none at all...
Finest Hour for me was the best for story and campaign. Graphics were not great but what a great game. Big Red One was probably my second favorite. All the others didn’t quite cut it for me.
They went from the immersive nature of gritty violent war to pink weapons and player models dancing after matches.
fun fact: soldiers in fact danced after every victory

Na, they would wreck it like cod 4 with crates and other paid items, taking away from the feeling of acomplishment. If they just updated it to a new game engine with improved graphics then yea all for it but adding other uslesss stuff then no.
Remastered? they will just ruin it
Still playing bo1 on rcps3. Best cod ever imo. Just the right amount of story, grit and raw war. None of the futuristic garbage they are making today.
You forgot about COD United Offensive, my dude. It featured tanks and jeeps in multiplayer, plus other game modes. It was my favorite.
Funny how after all these years I remember those scenes from CoD and CoD 2.
Cod 2005 is nostalgia for me
For me the COD 2 was the best... So immersive playing as a soviet soldier.
3:03 Guy getting hit by the rocket, bit of a delayed reaction on his part lol
Call of duty 2 was one of my favorite games growing up..
COD 1 was a masterpiece. The Pavlov House and Harbor were my favourite maps.
GOD Ghost maybe not bad as they said. It provides lots of prolific battle fields set-up, underwater, ice land, train, jungle, radar station , even in space. From my view, it should deserve one of top 3.
BTW, the story is completely great, Perhaps it could be made as another series.
Yeahh its really one of the most fucking good COD games i ever played😭
Ghosts gets a bad rap but I thought it had a good story and some great maps.
Yes but it was more linear than the earlier COD games
I actually really liked the Ghost Campaign. I never understood why people hated it so much and I really would've liked to see how the story ends in the 2nd game. I suppose it wasn't meant to be.
Yeah. I mean, i dont think it was anything that special, but still i liked it a lot. I think people shit Ghosts more for its multiplayer. Howhever i hated how the game ended on a cliffhanger
Its campaign mode was tactically brilliant and I was in awe when I played with the Strob light mission in the gun.
My man, Rorke surviving a .44 to the chest and then underwater for like 5 minutes, is BS!
Ghost was AMAZING, the campaign was awesome and unique, nothing like it now. Aliens was a fun change and was challenging. Multi-player was dope for camping snipers and gung-ho players. Used to make big iq plays with the traps in Multi-player.
I love all the modern warfares and it just brings back so many memories
Same but Idk about the one coming out this year, the single player looks alright. Not too good but i dont really play single player that much. I just hope the multiplayer is as good as mw2 2009.
@@NoodleSoup23 yeah, but I mostly play campaign so I have high hopes
19 years of childhood gaming
🤔 ion think Playstation was so popular back in 03
@@dances998 Playstation was something what only rich kids had, most of normal kids had some old computer and played Doom 2 even in 2003.
Is it only me or did my endorphin rise higher in 2003 playing COD than today with my PS5?
COD Black Ops 2010 will always be my favorite. It's the first video game I finished and the multiplayer menu theme will aways give me chills.
CoD WaW and Black Ops 1 still have a special place in my memory *"FOR THE MOTHERLAND! URA!"*

On god

One of the best series i like most is modern warfare series
CoD 2 is still on my "to play" list... rest I will play of course after that one... didn't even realized how many CoD games there were!
This is a great way to see that every game was pretty much the same thing. Just a different coat of paint
Modern Warfare 1,2,3 will be always be my Childhood. Man I can't wait for MW3 to be Remastered. P.S. Soap trusted you, I know I could too 😉

I remember starting Ghost and what a masterpiece it was to behold. From the first story to the whole satellite crashing, it was the most amazing thing to play.
i have to agree, it was not an misstake, it was an masterpiece
Lol

Too bad people hate it alot for some reason

CoD2 is still probably my favorite in the series. I wish we could get a remake of that.
My favorite modern CoD is the original MW2.
Can`t agree more
The gravity gun in HL2 really put that game high above a lot if not all other games in a sense of "fun". I loved to kill players by ripping a urinal off a wall and launching it at their heads 🤣🤣🤣
Far Cry 2 was incredible, downhill since then.
The first ever is the best childhood game love it
I knew Nixan would make a new Call of Duty video. But idk he was going to add Fun Facts tho!. 🤣
I’m not even a gamer but stayed to learn the history because the video was very well put together.
I like that the breath of fresh air for Modern Warfare was double tapping unarmed targets
OMG nice video I love Call of duty
@Erfi wtf
It's fairly evident that since it all began, the graphics were clean and realistic. But especially for a shooter game like this, only mature audiences could take the pitch. NVIDIA and AND are always credited with special thanks for all the products they handed out to render these open world 3D graphics.
cod I and II are my best childhood memory when it comes to gaming.

2:47 mm yes very realistic even though it feels like a cocaine run through of an action blockbuster. Yes

We need do after Advenced Warfare Remastered and Sequel.

Can't help but notice..
These games don't have sequels.
It is more of clone, rather than a continuation.
It is like scooby doo cartoons.. the same stuff every time, but with another background put in..
ngl cod games 2003 to 2017 are just so good and they made my day everytime i play it, and i also enjoy the campaigns
The best Call Of Duty for my opinion:
1. Call Of Duty (2003)
2. Call Of Duty 2
3. Call Of Duty: World At War
4. Call Of Duty: World War 2

"I'm McCullin! Two rules: Rule one: You're no good to me dead! Rule two... Ah what difference does it make, you'll probably all end up dead anyway..."
As much as people like to hate on Call of duty, they’re still one of the leading innovations to the FPS genre as remember they were one of the first to popularise 3D iron sights in games.
Still remember explaining that feature to my friend that haven't played the CoD yet at the time... it was cool back then.
if imma be honest, I actually liked ghosts, AW, IW and vanguard. I like the campaigns in the first 3, but the campaign for Vanguard is hollow, I hated it. but the multiplayer for Vanguard is actually really fun.
I definitely wish ghosts and AW had a sequel. I liked ww2’s campaign too though.
wish they hired an actual historian to write the campaign.
The ghosts campaign has a special place in my heart. Really good. Not multiplayer tho
I never played vanguard but I think it's great campaign. Only bad thing is history accuracy. If vanguard isn't ww2 theme. It would be mediocre game
I agree with your comment
3:38 fuck i remember playing this in like 2014
that specific scene is when the delta team are trying to take down a russian jammer in new york (u play as Derek "Frost" Westbrook)
friggin amazing
Most of the 'evolution in games' vedios generally don't have commentary
But the voice over just makes it more engaging.
I've played this game the 2003 one it's the best game❤️🔥
It shows that the franchise tried to be liked every year(like returning to the WW2 in between modern ones), regardless of how terrible the quality falls. I still like the old ones.
Nothing will ever beat the sound effects of call of duty 2. It literally made you feel like you were at war with a battle going on. Now a days, you can tell the actors are screaming in a quiet recording booth.
United Offensive and MW1 were my favorites.
Best CODs ever made:
-United Offensive
-World at War
-Modern Warfare
-Modern Warfare 2
-Black Ops
I played also others but these are gold piece of history.
Phenomenal games, which have a special place in my heart. I completed them many times. And when I hear the soundtrack of Modern Warfare 2 I literally cry... That was my whole childhood
I agree that’s all you need, the reboots of MW are a disgrace.
United Offensive is so good
All call of duty games have special place in my heart
I started on COD2 playing during lunch break at school in a local hosted lobby with a dozen mates. To this day, I have never played any of the story modes of any cod game. Gotta say the games I enjoyed the most and have the most memories playing with mates are on Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare 2019.
That's So Cool i love Cod!
To me, one of my favorites will be advanced warfare
idk, i liked it a lot, and the campaing where you upgraded yourself after every mision, it was really nice
And that you could literally become skorpion and kill those mechas like a fricking god
I have been playing CoD since my step parent brought his PC to my house when I was 11 years old. I remember when CoD 2 had 6 discs to install the game and I joined a hardcore modded servers clan and got my skills really honed as a M&K player. The fun and good old days always to me 😢😌
Time sure flies, it feels like it was just a couple of months ago that i as a 16 year old sat and played CoD 2. Soon we'll all be in the ground.
I feel like no one ever gives WaW the love it deserves, even the video literally just has 3 sentences to say about it’s movie references and that’s it. Easily the most slept on title

*I MAKE SUPREME CONTENT*
