Thanks so much for watching! I feel like videos like these should be straight to the point. Most people are searching for answers and don't want to hear "like & subscribe" for the billionth time lol
@@bognogus is there any way this video is out of date? looking at unlocking all the gardian stuff myself. even fighters is it just a simple process of relogging each time I scan?
Sorry for the late response! As far as I've heard/read, the way you go about getting the materials in my video still works. The biggest difference is with the new items that have been added. I'm unsure if those have new locations, but the way to go about activating the location, what to shoot at to get the materials, enemies, etc should be all the same o7
Tip1: As a rule, instead of picking D-rated Power Plant, you can pick A-Rated one size smaller. It will provide you slightly more energy with slightly less mass. And a way better heat management. Tip2: Every Thursday a ferry service jumps from Zende to the Guardian sites (and vice versa). It is enough to dock on Wednesday evening on the ferry ship in the Zende system, that will save you travel time.
you can do a 2A if you g3 monster it. my extra effect was heat management, so it has a stock heat rating. (note I did this for quick charge distributor and dirties, you could probably get away with less if you're willing to sacrifice that). Low powered shields help too
DUDE I COULD KISS YOU RIGHT NOW!!!! I randomly came across a beacon and got the key, went to the planets in message and did EVERYTHING to the point of dropping the relic/key and i was dropping the relic thinking it was the same across the board for all systems. Thank you for putting that out🙌🏻🙌🏻
Best video about guardians so far - but... you should have mentioned that material for synthesising Ammo und Fuel is required. Esp. at the fighter location. And bring more than just one point defence. just as much as possible on the upper side of the ship.
Definitely important to keep the PD on the top.. I've heard of a couple of CMDRs outfitting it on the bottom and not realizing until they got there! It only takes doing that once to remember lol
@@bognogus Funnily enough today I got into an SRV for the first time in a long while. Friend said just boost to get unstuck. SRV wont move right? So out of panic I destructed it. Got a 700ly journey back if I cant find a station closer. And tbh I'll be bringing my Imperial Clipper as it can old 4 SRVs haha
there is a mega ship close by you can restock at close to the fighter site. synuefe en-h d11-96, there's also some small stations there. so yes having the refuel and rearm is nice but its not a far trip
@@lost-on-sight3505 oof I feel your pain. There is a way to get out of that and still have your SRV. If you log out and exit the game, select the non-horizons version of the game on the launcher and start that up. One you load up, you'll be in orbit of the body you're at. Log out and exit again and pull up the horizons version of the game. It'll put you back in orbit on your ship but with your SRV back in your hold :)
Thank you so much for saying that! I didn't want it to have fluff, my background from when I was child, etc lol. Let me know some other topics you'd like and I'll see about getting something going for them :)
Thank you! Videos that talk about sponsorships, ads, their cat, a bumper sticker they saw, "smash that like and subscribe button".. only to get to the "meat" of the video half an hour in.. those annoy me lol. I wanted to get the info to you guys quick along with quick links so you can skip forward to what you need o7
So I finally got my booster before watching this particular one. People made it seem a lot more simple than it actually is, getting this thing was a huge headache especially because I am new to Horizons since it finally became free. Turns out you CAN land the ASPX right at the base itself but it is very very picky. Some things I wish I knew before doing it were >How to fight the guardians >Where to land >bring a 2nd SRV, just do it >RIGHT CLICK THE GLOWING BALL TO SCAN IT >Stock up on mats to trade for the focus crystals >Get the commodity last on your way to get the part This is by far the most helpful guide on this and I found it too late. Love the style of the video, your audio levels are perfect but you could stand to be a bit louder. Music was on point, and the mustache is as glorious as it is ridiculous. Appreciate you not trying to be some character or all goofy like other ED people as well; you're so pleasant and clear. The intro isn't too much or too little and you get right to the point. Never lose the dapper. IDK what happened here but we all make mistakes. Hope to see more of you O7
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out and the items you mentioned are so on point. I'd suggest those points to anyone going out for the first time as well. For videos like these, I wanted to keep it straight to the point. I find it so annoying when you're just looking for the answer in a walkthrough and there's 8 sponsors, 14 ads, and "like & subscribe" before the video gets to the part you need lol. Thank you for watching!
I've watched a number of videos on the topic of unlocking Guardian stuff from every level of Elite YTer, this one is by far presented in the best way. It's clear and concise in how it conveys everything you need to know without getting bogged down in details or something. This video was the one that motivated me to rip the bandaid off and suck up the Guardian grind, because I realized the grind was no different than any other activity I'd been doing. Those other videos over explained stuff and made it seem more than it was, and I was influenced by just how complicated the Guardian narrative was when they were first introduced to the game. Once I watched this video and got my lay of the land in person I was just like why the fuck have I put this off for so long? Well, I don't do Thargoid content either, so a good amount of these unlocks are useless to me at the moment. But man it's nice seeing a 73ly jump range on my AspX now. Haven't had a chance to fit one on my DBX yet though. I'll be going for the hull/module unlocks, with the shield ready to go when the servers come back online, but I dunno about the other stuff quite yet. Eventually, sure.
This makes me so happy to hear, you have no idea! I figured with all the info Elite has, how short and to-the-point can I make this lol. How awesome is it to get to anywhere in like.. half the time now! So glad it worked out (: o7
@@bognogus For sure, but in my case I was already in the low 60s for range, just missing that final piece of the puzzle. But there is definitely an art to being able to convey all the information concisely. Like watching D2EA's video on the subject didn't entice me to go for it, he actually made it seem more complicated than it was. Somewhat related, after getting the FSD & Shields I went ahead and finished up my Corvette finally. Lemme tell ya 6800mj of shields are nice. And as a bonus something finally clicked and I just abruptly understood flight assist off like I'd been doing it for years. That was kinda wild.
oh man FAoff is so much fun. For a while there I was doing only FAoff with dual sticks no matter the gravity.. tough, but such a cool experience. Go team Corvette :D
Not my first run but was unsure where to farm obelisks, this cleared it up nicely. Also to anyone just starting this, you want at least three of the guardian module blueprints, one for the guardian fsd booster, two for the guardian shield reinforcement and module reinforcement packages. The fsd booster and shield reinforcement are exclusive to guardians and the guardian module reinforcement is slightly better than its normal counterpart. The remaining modules are better off engineered.
Good video, I liked the extra info on the guardians background story and the specific locations provided. Only negative thing I would say is that, as a beginner, I had no idea how the SRV worked. Would've been great to also have mentioned about the limited fuel, to avoid thrusting too much, and that you can refuel the SRV at a Fleet-Carrier if you need to (which is handy because they're everywhere, especially in these guardian farming systems). Apart from the extra information for the n00bs out there, the video was a very good and ran through the step-by-step process. Thanks!
These are great points. I'll have to add in text for these over the videos since the fleet carriers weren't out then. Thank you for watching and I'm glad it helped! I appreciate the feedback a lot :)
That really means a lot, thank you! I like things to be straight to the point especially when you're playing a game and waiting for a UA-cam video just to get to the point lol Thank you for watching!
That really means a lot, thank you! I always find it annoying when I'm trying to find information and there's a billion things OTHER than the information in videos lol. Didn't wanna waste anyone's time. Thank you for watching! o7
Tip, you can combine this with a mission to decode guardian messages, go to the Felice station in the Meene system, when docking, the engineer Ram Tah will give you the mission. If you find all the messages he will pay 10 mill. :)
That's incredibly high praise, thank you! I've got a couple more ideas for videos for Elite and then once Odyssey comes out, I'll highlight everything that's been released and how it works :) Thank you for watching! Really appreciate it :)
Amazing, thank you! Can’t be assed really after kitting out my corvette and thinking of having to get more materials etc but using this tutorial I’ll work up the courage to go and do it!
@@bognogus just doing it now, does the orb only appear once? How do we make them appear again? I tried logging out and in from desktop but they do not appear again?
@@RyanMTube yes, the orb only appears once. To have the orb show up again, hop back in your ship, fly away and super cruise, then turn back and drop back in. This resets the instance and should allow the orb to come up again. If it still doesn't, make sure you drive your SRV up to the pedestal before activating the pylons
@@bognogus Thank you again and for your swift replies! I tried the driving the SRV up to the pedestal and that seemed to allow them to appear again after logging in and out :)
There is a weekly ED maintenance period (Thursday 7am Gametime) where two Megaships swap places between Zende and Guardian Space. Look for "Sadlers' Song" and "The Conduit" in the Zende system in the bubble. At the Guardian end there is the station called "The Prospect" that I use. It's right above a Guardian Site. The Prospect has a Guardian Unlocking contact and outfitting. Get your Point Defense from Outfitting there. You need two. Stay a week and farm all the mentioned sites. Go home by the other Megaship or get the FSD Booster and make you own way.
@@bognogus Forgot to mention the site (Synuefe EN-H d11-96 7 a) below The Prospect requires an Ancient Key that is not available on that site. You have to go to a Guardian Beacon to get an Ancient Key. The reward is the unlock for a Guardian Fighter.
Hello Good Sir. You are the first person who knows how to explain things. This is how the tutorial should be done. Thank you so much. Ohhhh crap, 167 jumps :(
I went through all of the Guardian Modules and Guardian Weapons (bit.ly/3XaUVWC + bit.ly/3Qnkm4Z) and out of the 18 modules that need physical cargo/commodities, only one needs more than 12 which is the Guardian Shard Cannon [Fixed - Large]. If you're unlocking that, you'll most likely be using a larger ship with more cargo capability anyway. If not, it's only 18 Micro Controllers which are inexpensive and can be found easily and would take only 2 trips :) The materials do not need cargo space, but do have a maximum amount that can be held which is much higher than the amount needed for one module or even a few combined.
@@bognogus Ohhh now i see. Sorry for bothering you, just came back to the game after 4 years. There is however one problem with gathering Guardian Relics ua-cam.com/video/3aEqQLRHtqQ/v-deo.html. Not all of them can be gathered and sometimes non of them.
no no, messages like these are never a bother :) I watched your video and I honestly haven't seen that happen before. I have 3 possible solutions: (1) if you're playing in Odyssey.. the game is built on a top of a very old set of code so I believe Odyssey introduced a number of new issues. Try logging out, then back in at the Guardian site in your ship. (2) for some reason, the game registered those relics as already having been collected/knocked off, so a reset of the instance would help, i.e. logging out, logging back in. (3) it's some random bug from the recent changes and resetting the instance will work either by logging out/in or leaving in supercruise and dropping back in. If none of those work, I have had the odd issue here and there while playing in specific modes: solo, private, or open. If you were playing in solo, try private/open or vice versa. Great question! Haven't seen this one before. Here's hoping it'll be fixed in Elite Dangerous 2 :P
Was expecting this to be more difficult. Made a few laps per your recommendation to gather supplies, then stopped and topped off at a Carrier for ammo and repair, then killed it in one shot, got my frame shift drive for my 4 ships. Cool beans...
Dude, perfect video, excellent production and presentation. Only thing I didn't care for was the font choice making it a little hard to read, but everything else was excellent. Subbed.
7:40 - Tip, once you've obtained this key (assuming you're going for all 3) - fly 3km or so away and quit to the main menu. Repeat this process 2 *MORE* times if in horizon, and 3 more times if in Odyssey. Reason being, Odyssey has a tendency to crash. I've crashed just after inputting the 3rd key I brought, so I was forced to fly all the way back to the beacon to nab 2 more keys (1 extra for safe measures), and fly back to do the whole charging process again. If in Horizons, you most likely will not crash - but in Odyssey the sentinels do not fire rockets of any sorts and the scorpion makes the sentinels a pushover; Albeit, a slower and more grounded SRV than the scarab.
@@bognogus One issue with playing Odyssey with the scorpion is that - since in Odyssey the sentinels don't fire rockets (For some reason), they tend to fly over you if you're like
That's so weird, I can't believe it's crashing so many times. Hopefully you've got everything and won't have to be returning to the sites for a while :P
WOW! And I thought EVE online was a hoop-jumping grind-fest. Thanks for the upload (and saving me a ton of time from starting to play this game again, lol).
Just ran the Weapon and Module sites, what’s time consuming is farming the scan data and technology components. Each fragment requires a chunk of one of these. And after all that I learn that other then Frame shift booster, Guass cannon, engineered components run cooler which matters these days with antix ships. So it’s better to grind on the engineering anyhow other then the couple of exceptions. Save yourself some time.
So I watched your video and its a really good video and helped me tremendously. However I was able to get 3 relics & I only got one blue print. So O went to the 2nd & 3rd sites and they are preet big but I managed to scan as many obelisks as I could find. Also I ended up find 16 more relics that sit in my Cargo hull now. There were a bunch of other stuff as well like Guardian caskets, tablet's, urns & totams all worth $$ that I ultimately had to leave behind because I only have a 16 T rack or two 8 ton racks actually because I'm using my ASP Scout instead of my Explorer. Only because I already wen to see 2 engineers & my 4A fsd for the scout is level 5 & on my fsd. 4E (because I didn't realize u ould get the 5A & I hooked it up with the fsd blueprints I have pinned but only to level 3. I also tried stripping down both ships and putting the fsd drives I have engineered in both craft but in the end the scout has a 31yr jump range. And it knocked my trip down for 42 jumps to 21. I had to sacerfice a smaller hull to do this but it worked. I am currently back at the 1st site that pops up when u get there,I believe it site 4. Anyway I had to stop at a carrier after playing all night last night into this morning and I go back to the 1st site that pops up and I managed to get 3 more relics and even jetted one into the guardian machine. Right befoe the game goes down for maintenance. Also the 1time I xane to this site I didn't scan anything except the big ball that u need to scan for the blueprints. Thanks again for this video it makes it a lot easier when u know what to so other its a puzzle. Oh another thing is I noticed in your video it's the dark side of the planet but its light side when I go there, Im pretty sure its the tidally locked so that doesn't make sense unless im wrong and its nor or it's just different on PC. Im guessing by your blue controls u arw on PC. I wish there was a way to change that for console. Sorry for the long comment.. ohh very nice stash my friend.
I'm so happy the video helped make things easier! It can be tough to know what to take with you and what to expect once you get out there. I recorded this while playing on PC about 4 years ago so I'm thinking in that time the orbit may have continued. A fun example of seeing this happen incredibly quickly is Mitterand Hollow that orbits New Africa in the Epsilon Indi system, near Sol. You'll be blown away by how fast it orbits: only 1 minute and 26 seconds!
Ohh I see. It's different now by rewatching your video here u didn't mention the other relics at sites 1,2 & 3. Also and I'm guessing it's different since the update or dlc, I'm on console for now but I'm switching real soon. Anyway now u don't have to shoot the pilons before the relics pop out of the ground, they just come up when u drive close to them & there's 3. The relics from the other sites don't give u any blueprints from the other 3 sites. Now I'm not sure if it only lets u grab 3 relics at the site and u can only get 3 module blueprints and then maybe u need to go to another planet to get the other ones or what? I am however going to try and test it to be sure because yesterday I lost all power or systems after getting hit by a torpedo from one of the guardian sentinels and didn't get a chance to jettison 1 in the structure so I may be wrong but what are the other relics for from the other sites. I did however see a video about bringing them to a thorgoid settlement and using them there but it was for something different Idt it was for blueprints or it was but a different (new) kind maybe sorry man u probably know about it more then I do lol. Sorry for the long replys and thanks for the response man I really appreciate it. I joined the Elite Dangerous discord I think it's the main one of that's a thing idk but it sure has a lot of ppl and I know I can get answers there I just thought I'd tell u the differences now Incase u decided to make an updated video lmao. But I don't think it's necessary for me anyway but I am stuck so.😂
> Now I'm not sure if it only lets u grab 3 relics at the site and u can only get 3 module blueprints and then maybe u need to go to another planet to get the other ones or what? • If you wanted to get multiple blueprints from one site, there's 2 ways to do it: once you get a blueprint, head back to your ship, log out to the main menu, and log back in -or- once you get a blueprint, head back to your ship, fly away from the site, get into supercruise, turn around, and come back and it will "refresh" the instance so you can get another one. > what are the other relics for from the other sites • If you're talking about the other items like the tablet, cask, urn, etc, they're used for the mission "Decoding the ancient ruins” from Ram Tah. Also, when you have certain combinations of them in your SRV's cargo hold, it allows you to decode the 3-sided, short pylons that have the glowing text on them depending on the icons that are showing on the pylons. Thank you for letting me know about what's been updated!
Awesome video CMDR! This will help greatly on my quest to unlock all the guardian modules. Funny enough I already engineered a DBX for this prior to watching, so solid ship suggestion lol. Got it up to 56ly jump range with an a rated fast charge distributor and a rated dirties. Didn't know about the laser/pa needed for the fighters tho!
idk if this will help, but here's the transcript for what I recorded. Check the audio column < docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P_YfTTdpZVSl1HOxvPPt5wrbN_KIMFVirQhhDQWRUwI/edit?usp=sharing >
@@bognogus Aw, dude. You didn't have to do that. Pretty cool of you. I finally had to do some mining planet side and learn that goat rope. Needed arsenic for engineering. I was about to give up because it just wasn't dropping and then BAM got three drops for 9 pieces total. Everything I have done in this game is out of necessity and its always been just winging it till I get the result I want. A real butt pain but its still fun. I love T9 laser mining. I think my goals are to get my DBX fully engineered AND get a T10 combat equiped so I can explore as far as possible out of the bubble and with the T10 Defender slaughter wannabe pirates... but it all takes time...
I feel you on that. Finding the materials on the surface is one of the absolute worst parts of it. Thankfully you can trade some materials for others at material traders. I found that < eddb.io/body > was so great for finding materials on planets. Here's an example of what I'd input while searching for Arsenic < pasteboard.co/4NjF9kPYRjV4.png >
@@bognogusthe links don't work but do u have another one where I can go to findbout what planets have certain materials like arsenic? That would be a great help
Oof, should've worked. I usually scan it and it'll pop up letting me know the data has been collected. When you collect the guardian key that you deposit into the slot so the orb will come out, I would grab a second key just in case it doesn't work the first time. You can clear the instance by jumping out and back to the guardian structure and doing it again in case it doesn't work the first time
Hello mate, I am a bit confused, You say in your video something about getting directions to different sites then a Key to get the Guardian weapons. I just watched a video, by Cmdr Exigeous to get the Gauss canon and there is nothing about a key, it is the same as getting modules on your video. Am I reading this right?
Good question. So the ancient key is just for ship blueprints. For weapons, modules, etc, you don't need a key. Here are the locations of the Ancient Keys if you're looking to unlock a Guardian fighter: elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Guardian_Beacon#Locations . For the Guardian weapons, here are the items you need: inara.cz/elite/techbroker/#tab_techbrokerslot3 . None of these need an ancient key so you can skip that step. You essentially just need to collect the items needed from the Guardian locations mentioned in the videos and listed here: elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Guardian_Structure#Locations . Please let me know if there's anything more I can help with!
@@bognogus I won't bother you anymore, thank you very much for answering my questions, Season Greetings, wish you all the best in your endeavors.....Cheers mate!
So, the secondary fire key for SRV is scanning... I checked all the tutorial videos but no one tells that.... You know ED's one of the big problems is control....so many neccessary control has not get a keybinding. or don't tell you what is it for....
Is there anything extra i should bring over there? I have the DBX all ready. Point defense on top, SRV, and 24 focus crystals. Should i bring weapons? Im really making sure because this is going to be my furthest journey out and i dont wanna self-destruct when im 700ly in because i forgot something.
I'd make sure you have a fuel scoop. You can also set the map to filter specific types of stars that are scoopable (O,B,A,F,G,K,M type stars). With that, you'll be able to get essentially anywhere in the galaxy without running out of fuel.
Every ruin I go to looks completely different than the one you show here, what's that all about? Mine have a bunch of circular high spots and craters and that's it
Thank you for making this video. I've been curious about the Guardian relics. I'm playing in Solo mode and doing all PvE content. Is it fine to just get Guardian modules instead of doing engineering? Frankly, I hate the whole engineering process. I'm not planning on doing any sort of PvP or even playing alongside other players at all.
Definitely! In my opinion, the Guardian FSD Booster is a must have. I have it on almost every one of my ships. That, coupled with an engineered FSD, can give you some really great ranges. Engineering the rest of the modules can be incredibly annoying, but if you want to get the FSD engineered and you're looking for some tools to help figure out where to go, hit me up on Discord: bognogus#0001 :) o7 And thank you for watching!
Sometimes you have to go to the main structure first so drive your SRV up to where the glowing, floating ball will be coming out. Once you go there, the rest of the pylons should start popping up when you get close to them
Hello, I am at the Guardian Structure and I have charged all 6 pylons but when I go to TOP main area, I am not able to see final task, no light on the ground. What am I doing wrong?
Might have to reset the instance by supercruising out, then back in. There should also be a timer running down at the top of the screen once you start activating the pylons. Before you start activating the pylons, make sure to put a relic or ancient key in your SRV hold as well.
I feel like I'm in that one SpongeBob episode where he's teaching Patrick how to blow a bubble and he's all like first you jump on your right foot twice then you pat your belly while rubbing your head then do 3 push ups DONT FORGET IT then you go here go there A B 123 geometry......lol
Oh man. I wished I would have known about needing to go to Synuefe KU-F B44-4 before I tried to get the fighters at NGC 2451A Sector VJ-R C4-22... I did the Guardian site 3 times thinking I was bugged...
@@bognogus Oh it 100% did! I just finished unlocking ALL of the modules and vessels. I just have to go back out and get more Guardian Technology Components since you can only carry 200 - Need 42 more to finish getting all of the Plasma Chargers and the last Shard Cannon! I also need to figure out how to get Articulation Motors and Micro-Weave Cooling Hoses. Doesn't seem you can just buy them from the Market... So I'm guessing there is something special about these 2. I will say that the program "EDEngineer" is very useful for these! I just got the game on Oct 31st during the Steam sell. So I'm trying to "catch up". Lol
oh yeah those can be tough to find. Those are specifically found as mission rewards. You're absolutely right; EDEngineer is one of my favorite apps to use while playing, too!

hi, here a 2021 CMDR Cape, Guardian Seeker, Explorer and Exobiologist. Some ruins wont activate with the guardian relic you take from the ground pillars, but with the key you take from guardian beacons. I play Oddissey, so i dont know for sure if its that way in horizons too, and i think its an important thing to have in mind. I mean, how do you know if a guardian estructure its for fighters or others?? (Sorry for bad english :D) Have a nice day CMDR o7
Yup, it's the same with Odyssey :) The tough part is, you can't really tell what you're gonna get from the guardian structure from the ground. If the Guardian Relic that you get from the ground doesn't work in there, it's definitely a fighter blueprint. Here's a list of every known beacon, structure, and site: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uVmIjZMYC0DOjHYgWsuvJefdocLK-7iZl1Q81JlQ3es/edit?usp=drivesdk Let me know if you have any more questions!
Excellent tutorial. I cannot be bothered to do any of it though I have been to that site just to putz around. The FSD is about the only thing I'd be interested in, space cockroaches don't interest me.
I unlocked the FSD and then went to outfitting but there was nothing there that said "Guardian FSD" ... am I doing it wrong? Once unlocked, how do I apply it to my ship and can I engineer it? Thanks.
So the FSD Booster is only at certain stations. I like to use EDDB (eddb.io/station?m=1734&i=1&r=17072) to find the closest one to me that has one. In the link above, I put the reference system as Sol, but you can put in whatever system you're currently in. Once there, go to outfitting, and it should show under the optional internals section as a "Booster". From there, choose your size and you're golden :) Let me know if you have any issues!
So if you unlock the fsd booster for example, you unlock all sizes in one go, and just have to buy with credits from there on ? Except for the fixed and turreted weapons with are separate, and need a blueprint each ? Do i understand it all correctly ?
Nice video and more up to date then many others about Guardian equipments. I'm still trying to gather all materials to unlock the FSD Booster, and I'm having a specific hard time when it comes to the Guardian Technology Components. So far I got only 6 of these while the Guadian Power Cell More than 40 already, as an example. |s there a trick or something that makes these easier to farm? Thnkyou. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you so much for watching! I usually go for any of the lit up panels that are around the Guardian sites. They are on some of the overhangs and also the pylons that stick out of the ground. You can also get some components from the sentinels if you destroy them
Why so specific about 12 tons of cargo space, what’s the cargo space used for. I apologize if this is a dumb question I think I missed the part in the video ?
No apologies necessary! For some of the Guardian unlocks, you need 8 HN Shock Mounts. This allows you to have those as well any keys needed for the fighters used at the active Guardian structures. It essentially sets up the ship ahead of time so that you can take care of unlocking everything in one shot if need-be. Great question!
That's exactly right, yup. It's an optional internal module that you can add to your ship. Here's an example of what DBX can look like at a 65 LY jump range < bit.ly/3rcJFch >
Not really unfortunately. Damage from the weapons really are meant for Thargoids. The rest of the modules can be great for greater distances and lower heat, etc
This is a fantastic idea! I just updated the description to include the locations mentioned along with the timestamp. Thank you for watching and your suggestion :)
bognogus can i just say how awesome it is that you're responding and positively taking criticism of your video and making it better from that. great stuff man
One great place is Synuefe NL-N C23-4 on planet B3. Head to the point of interest on the listing on your left hand panel. Basically shoot each panel off the spires that are sticking out of the ground. There's generally three of them per spire. Here's an example shown by CMDR shrav < i.imgur.com/z2uuyLC.jpg >. Let me know if there's any more I can help with!
Yup! You can relog or supercruise away from the ground locations to get a new one. The key at the Guardian Beacon you can get multiple times without relogging. Just start the machine up again
If I'm understanding correctly, you're asking if you need to visit each guardian structure in a certain order? No, you don't have to. Same thing for the pylons they come out of the ground. All have to be activated, but not in any order :)
That moustache is so big it has it's own center of gravity and mass locks passing ships .
You should've seen what was happening before I trimmed it.. people thought it was Thargoids attacking..
You have to be at least 5klick from the mustache in order to jump out.
That must be one of the clearest and best Guardian videos I have seen. I've saved it for future reference. Thanks for creating.
Thanks so much for watching! I feel like videos like these should be straight to the point. Most people are searching for answers and don't want to hear "like & subscribe" for the billionth time lol
@@bognogus most concise one I've found yet.

Super work, Sir!

ayy glad to hear it! Hope not too much has changed since then (:
@@bognogus A lot has changed but these Guardian sites are still the same 😊
@@bognogus is there any way this video is out of date? looking at unlocking all the gardian stuff myself. even fighters is it just a simple process of relogging each time I scan?
Sorry for the late response! As far as I've heard/read, the way you go about getting the materials in my video still works. The biggest difference is with the new items that have been added. I'm unsure if those have new locations, but the way to go about activating the location, what to shoot at to get the materials, enemies, etc should be all the same o7
@@bognogus ty!
Great tips! :)
you can do a 2A if you g3 monster it. my extra effect was heat management, so it has a stock heat rating. (note I did this for quick charge distributor and dirties, you could probably get away with less if you're willing to sacrifice that). Low powered shields help too
This help so much. I went to Zende and that saved me so many jumps.
That must be one of the clearest and best moustaches I have seen. I've saved it for future reference. Thanks for growing.
My pleasure, thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching :{D
DUDE I COULD KISS YOU RIGHT NOW!!!! I randomly came across a beacon and got the key, went to the planets in message and did EVERYTHING to the point of dropping the relic/key and i was dropping the relic thinking it was the same across the board for all systems. Thank you for putting that out🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm just here to help :D
This is one of the best guides I've encountered for this game. Your guide is detailed and yet also to the point, I wish you made more of them.
Thank you so much for saying that! I didn't want it to have fluff, my background from when I was child, etc lol. Let me know some other topics you'd like and I'll see about getting something going for them :)
Bog man.., i got no feedback this time, just this: .., good production , nice footage , clear unlock tutorial. good job in short ;)
Shoot man, I really appreciate the compliments :) I'm always up for feedback though :)
I like your presentation. Poise, calm, clear, very well collected. No shouting and jingling etc.
Some things I wish I knew before doing it were
>How to fight the guardians
>Where to land
>bring a 2nd SRV, just do it
>RIGHT CLICK THE GLOWING BALL TO SCAN IT
>Stock up on mats to trade for the focus crystals
>Get the commodity last on your way to get the part
This is by far the most helpful guide on this and I found it too late.
Hope to see more of you

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out and the items you mentioned are so on point. I'd suggest those points to anyone going out for the first time as well. For videos like these, I wanted to keep it straight to the point. I find it so annoying when you're just looking for the answer in a walkthrough and there's 8 sponsors, 14 ads, and "like & subscribe" before the video gets to the part you need lol. Thank you for watching!
Best instructional video on guardians tech. Clear and concise. THANK YOU!
yoo that's really nice of you to say, thank you :) Hope it helped o7
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching :)

Great tips, thank you!

That's some high praise, thank you so much! I didn't want to put my life history in there; just the info needed :) Thank you for watching!
@@bognogus Greetings. You forgot to mention that there is cargo space needed for the materials - 12 isn't enough.
If not, it's only 18 Micro Controllers which are inexpensive and can be found easily and would take only 2 trips :)
The materials do not need cargo space, but do have a maximum amount that can be held which is much higher than the amount needed for one module or even a few combined.

Your mustache is simply glorious haha love it.
From a beard fan
You're a legend, thank you o7 :D
This is a great tip! I'm so happy to hear the Scorpion doesn't flip over as much as the Scarab. Feels like it was made to do that lol

Great suggestion :)

• If you wanted to get multiple blueprints from one site, there's 2 ways to do it: once you get a blueprint, head back to your ship, log out to the main menu, and log back in -or- once you get a blueprint, head back to your ship, fly away from the site, get into supercruise, turn around, and come back and it will "refresh" the instance so you can get another one.
> what are the other relics for from the other sites
• If you're talking about the other items like the tablet, cask, urn, etc, they're used for the mission "Decoding the ancient ruins” from Ram Tah. Also, when you have certain combinations of them in your SRV's cargo hold, it allows you to decode the 3-sided, short pylons that have the glowing text on them depending on the icons that are showing on the pylons.
Thank you for letting me know about what's been updated!

Everything I have done in this game is out of necessity and its always been just winging it till I get the result I want. A real butt pain but its still fun. I love T9 laser mining. I scanned the damnable ball thing, flew back only to discover i had no blueprint.
Same...still have no idea what i am doing wrong.
Oof, should've worked. I usually scan it and it'll pop up letting me know the data has been collected. When you collect the guardian key that you deposit into the slot so the orb will come out, I would grab a second key just in case it doesn't work the first time.

There really are so many of them. When I first started out, I had to look up a visual representation of the controls with the T.16000M
With that, you'll be able to get essentially anywhere in the galaxy without running out of fuel.
the stache is epic guy.
Much appreciated o7
Every ruin I go to looks completely different than the one you show here, what's that all about? Mine have a bunch of circular high spots and craters and that's it
When you can, can you reply here with the locations you're going to? Like system and planet. Thanks!
excellent video
Means a lot, skeksis, thank you so much for watching :)
Engineering the rest of the modules can be incredibly annoying, but if you want to get the FSD engineered and you're looking for some tools to help figure out where to go, hit me up on Discord: bognogus#0001 :) o7
And thank you for watching!
Excellent! 👍
Thank you for watching :)
Thank you very much sir o7
Thank you for watching my stuff :D
When I get close to the pylons they don't want to emerge. What am I missing now?
@@bognogus Thank you, I was able to finish the task now. :)
That's great to hear!
I feel like I'm in that one SpongeBob episode where he's teaching Patrick how to blow a bubble and he's all like first you jump on your right foot twice then you pat your belly while rubbing your head then do 3 push ups DONT FORGET IT then you go here go there A B 123 geometry......lol
yooo this is so accurate lol It really is like that not even including 'if this goes wrong, do this, go here' etc lol
Thanks for the info Bog.
Thanks for watching :)
Well done fine sir!
I appreciate that Torsten, thank you for watching!
This is going to help a lot of players.
Do you post your videos on Reddit too?
That's a good idea!
I hope it helps someone :) I always feel weird about posting it in some places, but then my wife talked me into it and posted it lol
Wish i could have a moustache like yours
Lots of sheer willpower and I may have sold my soul once or twice
Oh man. I wished I would have known about needing to go to Synuefe KU-F B44-4 before I tried to get the fighters at NGC 2451A Sector VJ-R C4-22... I did the Guardian site 3 times thinking I was bugged...
yeah it's not terribly clear all the time on what steps to take next. Hope this helped o7
@@bognogus I found the last 2 items I need on Player Fleet Carriers (550k and 350k for all that I needed respectively - I got a few extra just to be safe). So now all I have to do is head BACK to a Guardian site and get 42 more Tech Components and I'll have all Guardian stuff done.
Then I have to grind out Engineers. Lol
hi, here a 2021 CMDR Cape, Guardian Seeker, Explorer and Exobiologist.
(Sorry for bad english :D)
Have a nice day CMDR o7
Yup, it's the same with Odyssey :) The tough part is, you can't really tell what you're gonna get from the guardian structure from the ground. If the Guardian Relic that you get from the ground doesn't work in there, it's definitely a fighter blueprint.
Here's a list of every known beacon, structure, and site: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uVmIjZMYC0DOjHYgWsuvJefdocLK-7iZl1Q81JlQ3es/edit?usp=drivesdk
Let me know if you have any more questions!
@@bognogus Thank you so much, i will check all of them before my long trip to Colonia :D
Subscribed....that moustache wow
haha thanks so much. The more scotch and steak I consume, the larger and angrier it gets
He is literally a gamer edward norton
I am Jack's very thankful gratitude. Love Edward Norton :)
Excellent tutorial. I cannot be bothered to do any of it though I have been to that site just to putz around. The FSD is about the only thing I'd be interested in, space cockroaches don't interest me.
That's what I tell everyone, even if you're not gonna need the weapons or fighters, the FSD is the best one to get. Thank you for watching :)
Jameson Memorial should have them all right?
So if you unlock the fsd booster for example, you unlock all sizes in one go, and just have to buy with credits from there on ? Except for the fixed and turreted weapons with are separate, and need a blueprint each ? Do i understand it all correctly ?
Exactly right. Here's a good visualization < inara.cz/galaxy-techbroker/ >
Best video for unlocking Guardian technology, unfortunately, those Inara addresses don't work anymore, care to update them pls?
awesome, good call. I had forgotten they updated the site. Just updated the links as well. Thank you for the heads up!
@@bognogus Our thanks to you for helping us!
Your moustache is fucking majestic lmao
haha much appreciated. I must carry on my family's line of mustaches
What happens if you already have an engineered FSD does the guardian tech just add to the jump range you have engineered?
That's exactly right, yup. It's an optional internal module that you can add to your ship. Here's an example of what DBX can look like at a 65 LY jump range < bit.ly/3rcJFch >
Do all these "Guardian" devices do any good to regular NPC especially damages?
Not really unfortunately. Damage from the weapons really are meant for Thargoids. The rest of the modules can be great for greater distances and lower heat, etc
Amazing video, thx
Thanks so much for watching! :) o7
Great video - I might have missed it, but it would be really useful to put the system names in the description for easy cut and paste?
This is a fantastic idea! I just updated the description to include the locations mentioned along with the timestamp. Thank you for watching and your suggestion :)
bognogus can i just say how awesome it is that you're responding and positively taking criticism of your video and making it better from that. great stuff man
Where is the best place for Guardian Technology Components?
One great place is Synuefe NL-N C23-4 on planet B3. Head to the point of interest on the listing on your left hand panel. Basically shoot each panel off the spires that are sticking out of the ground. There's generally three of them per spire. Here's an example shown by CMDR shrav < i.imgur.com/z2uuyLC.jpg >. Let me know if there's any more I can help with!
@@bognogus Thanks fort the reply. I will check it out.
Can you only hold one guardian module fragment at a time? It says 1 out of 100
I’ve repeated the process numerous times and don’t get anything else.
You should be able to get multiple, but may have to visit separate locations to build them up. Are you going after a fighter blueprint?
For the fighter unlocks, do you have to go multiple times to get the key or can you do the whole relog trick at the destination it sends you to?
Yup! You can relog or supercruise away from the ground locations to get a new one. The key at the Guardian Beacon you can get multiple times without relogging. Just start the machine up again
That’s awesome news. I’ll be knee deep in guardian mats before I know it :)
Egad, Look at those whiskers!
They're taking over, please send help
You want me to send you some sideburns, help balance things out? ;-)
@@shootingwithmitch5921 I'll take 4 please lol
Man the volume needs to be higher on this vid!
....or ears to be washed properly....
Agreed. Next time I'll balance it better :) o7
Like you say, it is not easy and it takes some fying over great distances, any chance you can do them for me?? :) J/K
oh man, I don't know if I could stomach it again haha I did my time! :P
Hi : it doesn't matter how I visit it in a what kind of order the guardian you are structures into an order is needed the sectors?
If I'm understanding correctly, you're asking if you need to visit each guardian structure in a certain order? No, you don't have to. Same thing for the pylons they come out of the ground. All have to be activated, but not in any order :)
