Great video! However, Papiamento is NOT a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese as is erroneously and disrespectfully claimed in this video. Yes, it is a Creole Language, but NOT to be described as "a mixture," NO MORE than one English (for example is). English speakers often engage in Linguistic Imperialism when referring to, or describing languages they do not quite know much about factually and linguistically. I am Aruban, born and raised. I am an Applied Linguist, and a very fortunate and proud native speaker of Papiamento, and a speaker of 7 other languages.
