I didn't see Max blink once. So that means I blinked at the same times as Max did, which in turn means I'm probably an equally good racing driver.

To be fair most drivers don't blink as much. Average people blink every 4-6 seconds. But like MotoGP drivers is around 18-20 sec.
@@SlowMissiles Max blinks like an average person when he's not racing. Most people blink waaaaay less when they are intently focused. Doesn't really matter if they're in a race car at 300 kmh or playing a video game

This was the best commentary by Sebastian, mentioning at which distance to break, explaining why Max takes one curb, but not the other, where the tyre becomes unloaded etc. Usually I feel like him telling us to take as much curb as possible to feel a little obvious, but this time it felt like very useful info. :)

Legends says Max actually drives with his eyes closed. Eyes are painted on his eyelids. He uses all this other senses instead.
The little re-adjustment he does with his foot as he re-applies the throttle lets him squeeze the accelerator nicely and minimise the slip of the car and wheelspin of the tyres. He's spent his whole life perfecting his driving style.

@@federicogelsomino2527 To reposition his foot lower and rest it on the floor instead of having his heel lifted in the air during straights. The side wiggle is to slide it down while still applying pressure to the throttle.

I love that Max is NOT following his true racing line and is throwing in all sorts of extra steering adjustments, is in the wrong gear multiple times, doesn't adjust brake balance at all, lifts sooner than he normally does and brakes before the finish... It's like his Monaco simulation on here, it was WAY off his true pace.
Yea I don't think he likes doing these at all, he hates the f1 game physics.

@@codecodderson3607 Actually he is probably a big reason why F1 23 and future titles will be more and more realistic because he´s an EA ambassador now and a true sim racer and EA actually worked with real F1 test drivers to develop the latest game and I bet Max has also gotten his hands on it and been able to give feedback. All the review channels are really praising F1 23 so far.
I bet he's doing this with the god awful default setup and not more than a lap or two of practice
@@vincentkentermusic yep it probably took way longer to get him set up in the chair with all the lights and stuff than him actually interacting with the game- probably just started up a hotlap session, did 1 flyer, then left to do other media obligations lol

I'm a 73 year old Dutchman and have been following Max since the beginning (2014), I've seen him struggle with the Renault engines, but was glad that RedBull switched to Honda.
In the beginning it took some getting used to with the Honda engine....but see how GOOD this engine has become in the last 3 years.
I am therefore very afraid that from 2026 there will be a new engine from RedBull Powertrains together with Ford.
Why exchange a good product (Honda) when you know what you have now.
So PLEASE RedBull think again despite the many millions it has already cost..try to stay with Honda and the chances are that Max can become world champion 3x, 4x or maybe 7 times, It won't be up to Max, everyone in the Netherlands and RedBull are convinced of that.

it's probably an habit that he developed, in a "real car" there are tons of bumps and vibrations. You wanna lock the foot in place when you go for it.

I can’t guarantee why, but it looks like he’s repositioning his foot exactly where he wants it on the pedal. Which is madness, because that kick out means he’s able to maintain consistent pressure until he gets into his chosen sweet spot on his foot.
