The real car is like 6 seconds faster, he did a 43 with a lazy qualifying last year, one would think high 42's are possible.
the reason he did a 1:48 is because of a god awful setup. he is clesrly using the games higher downforce default setup as the maximum downforce setup would see him not even reach 300kph on the straight towards blanchimont and the bus stop chicane.

@@rickj6348 try moving your eyes around a bit, it makes you able to not blink for longer although it is only for a couple of seconds if you dont do it extensively

I love how the delta is always of the default ghost, meaning these are Verstappens first lap lol. My first lap on sim usually involves multiple missed apex corners and possibly a shunt somewhere 😂

Humans always fear what they cant see. They have to live with uncertainty of when, not if, Verstappen is suddenly starting an overtake maneuver from behind.

I was watching 1979 backwards racing at Zandvoort circuit. Maybe a good idea for Max en Checo for a promotion .this was called ter land ter zee en inde lucht.very funny.
Would love to see Max start from P20 and do a last to first challenge in real life this weekend. I could definitely see him pull that off considering his current form and considering Spa is one of the best circuits for overtaking.

In corner 14 he did it twice, second time when he felt a snap of oversteer, that might have something to do with it... Idk really😅
He is just correcting the right foot position after he goes full throttle. The foot slides a bit forward, so he is just pulling it back without lifting the foot from the pedal.

I dont know, but I would like to see which setup they are using.
Surely its a standard setup. But is it the preselection, when you go into the game or do you have to reselect the "balanced option".
Or what what ever the case my be.
If I boot up the game with the "realistic" preset for RedBull and dont do any changes on the setup, the car runs down ~325kph the straights.
So clearly, the setups are different and I wonder which preset or setup they are using.
It would be awesome to be able to see that, so it is comparable. Otherwise its just.... a lap of max verstappen with a pointless challenge request at the end.
Next to would be Zandvoot flavour home ground.

@@chichurpVideo starts in 2nd gear milliseconds before the transition to 3rd after coming out of the final corner. He's already had a lap (or more) for a setup.
@@MrLambntunafish his steering wheel literally says L1, meaning his first lap. Also you’ve probably never played the game but when you start a lap it sends you to the corner before the start/finish line so you can get a good exit into turn 1

Can you please remove or disable the halo in these laps? IRL the driver doesn't really see it, but in a simulation screen it's just... there and quite distracting. Please give it a thought. Best of luck to you this weekend, go and smash it!

You can make fun of Max all you want but he is one of the fastest iRacing drivers in the world. Also that laptime is from Ronhaar in the F1 23 game not the F1 22 game. The settings are probably completely different as well.
