Thank you Anna for highlighting the time and effort that goes into joining, sustaining and finishing med school. As a recent graduate, now a doctor, it is really frustrating to see people on the internet giving their "expert" advice behind a keyboard just cos everyone has access to it now and spreading misinformation. I am glad you guys are educated enough to tell that to your viewers too! I really appreciate it
@@donnadavis235 agreed! But having influencers talking about something to spread decent information is a good start for a lot to those who follow them.
That little man is without a doubt one of the happiest, sweet natured souls I have ever seen, bless his little heart, sick but still laughing, smiling...…..lovable Andrea.
I swear, that rash was the proof I needed to figure out if Andrea was actually a human child or not. I mean, when is the baby not happy?! What a gorgeous, happy chunker!
I too am allergic to penicillin with the same reaction! I can imagine how scary that must have been. My little boy has had meningitis twice and would just say that it doesn’t always come with a rash so bare that in mind! Keep and eye for cold hands and feet. Glad he’s so happy through it all though x
Bethany F very true! My dad somehow survived a severe case of meningitis. They had to fly to a special hospital and Texas and was hospitalized for several months.
The rash is usually one of the last symptoms to show with meningitis - fever, cold hands and feet, sensitivity to lights , seizure, stiff neck, vomiting are other symptoms. So important to spread awareness ❤️
I miss the daily vlogs, n then they did it monday to friday weekends off n it was great. I don't like the way it is now, but they have a life to live n this must be easier for them. With 4 kids n 6 dogs n working on the new house. But the have the old school opening back which is nice so maybe they will go back to 5 days.
Poor Andrea. He likely was smacking his ear bc it was hurting or itchy. Likely hurting. Good that you caught his allergy early and documented if. Eduardo did great with his poem and loved his magic trick. He seems to focus and be more chill and less frustrated. I think he loves personal attention a lot. Maybe middle kid syndrome of sorts. Normal. And GREAT job Emilia on your French counting song and the poem. Your kids school is obviously excellent. I hope Andrea is very much better by the time this gets to you. Poor little guy. At least he was tiny and smiling and not older and more able to express it and freaking out. You guys handled it like a pro too. Getting advice is a bit hard from someone in a profession also and yet to ask for it in a pinch or possible emergency is ok I think. My mom was a nurse and everyone always passed stuff by her. She usually took it in stride and wasn’t annoyed or put off at all. Glad you had a pro on hand and access to medical care quickly. Get well Andrea!! 💗
I’m so glad you said that about influencers not giving out advice about things. Always ask a professional. Thank you for saying that I wish the other ones would realise this and see they could cause serious damage to someone.
No matter what, Andrea is always a little sunshine! What a blessing 💜 Hope all’s well! SacconeJolys all the way EVERYDAY! Dropping everything for the family 💕💕💕
Well done for handling it so calmly, lots of people would have panicked and therefore their little ones would panic too. You stayed calm so Andrea was happy and relaxed throughout. Hope he’s feeling better soon xx
This same situation happend to me when I was 17! I had a high fever and I ended up passing out in public, taken to the hospital, given amoxicillin, two hours later I was swollen and covered in the same type of rash. I was already feeling horrible this made me miserable. I can't believe how happy Andrea is! He's an incredible little boy ❤️
Andrea certainly didn't act like he was in any discomfort! My youngest son also has a penicillin allergy and he had his first reaction around the same age as Andrea, but my son's hives were so much worse. It was very VERY scary and it took weeks for it to fully clear up. I'm glad Andrea's isn't too bad.
Hopefully the rash goes away quickly and the new prescription works for him. Allergic reactions especially severe ones can be quite scary. And Jonathan you’re correct they can run in the family and you can also develop a new one at any time and point in your life. Sometimes when you have a reaction to penicillin you can also be allergic to it’s variations like Amoxicillin which is why the doctor had to put him in the registry to alert other doctors who might treat him. Plus they want to be careful about the class of medications they prescribe for him in the future.Your friend who is a doctor is very correct about saying a second reaction to anything is worse than the first one. I have ended up being rushed to the hospital many times due to new reactions and reactions to something that is related to the first medication or the same medication with a different name. Anaphylactic reactions are no joke and you have to react quickly to stop them which is why they prescribe an epi pen, inhaler and even a nebulizer with medication to open up your lungs in addition to allergy medication. Anna I couldn’t agree more about how many people think they’re experts because of whatever online thing they read. But on the other hand when a person has a condition or allergy to something they have to become knowledgeable about it and their health and the treatments that work and don’t work because doctors see hundreds of patients and may not remember everything about a patient that they don’t see often. So you have to create a team that works together to maintain your health and treatments. You are also correct that what works for one person doesn’t mean it will work for another and more people need to remember that before telling someone what to do. Hopefully Andrea doesn’t have more episodes like this one. It kills me how happy he is even when you know he has to be uncomfortable with the rash and everything. What a sweet heart.
Love the kid's doing thier play song. They are so well mannered. I'm sure like all kid's they have their moment's. But I think you can tell a overall happy child. Andrea, my goodness. I've never seen such a happy little fella. Allergic reactions are very serious. Glad he's getting medicine.
A wish for a proper recovery to his little health troubles to Andrea (aka Mister Smiles A Lot). A few thoughts. OK for the vlog every 2nd days, so you can keep time for re-vamping the friendliest friends channel this summer (lots of children = lots of adventures ;) ). An other idea, uploading the (vertical) IG stories on the Jonathan channel. They are "small daily vlog" and deserve to be kept longer than 24 hours!!! Maybe Anna can do the same to keep her channel alive, too?
Me too! I went in with a flashlight throughout the night for fear of waking him b/c he was so miserable that sleep was difficult for him but I was so worried.
You have the happiest baby EVER in Andrea, he is so gorgeous I adore him...... Please get better soon Baba ..... still smiling away even when poorly....... God bless & lots of love.........xxxxxx
Andrea, such a precious baby smiling through the whole thing. Oh yes, he is your smiler. I'm an old pediatric nurse, it looks like a penicillin reaction to me. Scores of people over the years have asked my advice regarding their children, and the first thing I always say is see your doctor! Love the channe!l Love & like you all. I hope Andrea feels better soon. ;)
Emilia has such a good little singing voice, I can see her being really good when she’s a bit older💖💖 Can’t get over how smiley Andrea is even though he is poorly,so adorable💙😭
I'm itchy just watching this! What a trooper! I am allergic to penicillin and wear the bracelet. Having severe hives is unbearable, I certainly wasn't smiling when I had them, he's amazing. I had severe stomach cramps from penicillin when I was a child. So glad there are other options that work.
If MY child looked like that the last thing I would be doing is pulling out my camera to show the world .I would be straight over to the hospital ASAP .Allergic reactions are nothing to wait around for and film
Andrea sure loves the camera, he always puts on a show for us. He's been watching his brother and sisters perform and he's always full of smiles and giggles. I could tell the rash is bothering him while he's fidgety and rubbing his face, but he is a little trooper. Precious baby, get well soon.
Oh no, poor Andrea. I'm allergic to penicillin too and I remember being 7 and having this reaction. Bruising and red spots everywhere. Hope he gets better soon, this heat must be terrible for him now. Lots of hugs and kisses from me! Wishing him a speedy recovery and a lovely weekend for the rest of the family.
Aw well done Emilia & Eduardo, get well soon Andrea. Sending my love and hugs to you all, so cute when Alessia was singing with Emilia.. Adorable.. wonderful family 💖❤️😃💕 xxx
Guys get used to it hehe being a redhead myself I have had so many allergies and weird rashes/diseases because us redhead tend to get a weaker immune system! My mom actually said it was an eternal struggle since I was a child🤷🏼♀️ Cheers from Costa Rica
Andrea is the sweetest baby in the world! My son had an allergic reaction to it too. Every single bit of skin was covered in a rough red rash that took about 3 weeks to be fully back to normal. He is listed on the pharmacy records too so they know not to give him anything in the penicillin family incase it slips through with the Dr. He is almost 13 now and every now and then I ask him what he is allergic too so it becomes second nature to remember when he is older and going to appointments on his own if he is asked. He gets random reactions to unknown things but seems to be growing out of those as he has got older. Hope Andreas rash clears up quickly, he really is the happiest little soul! xx
Emilia counting in french and her pronunciation is really good! Ooh poor Andrea I hope you get well soon. I also can't help but see a mini version of Jonathan in Andrea.
andrea s the cutes baby ive ever seen hes just so smiley and happy all of the time even when isnt feeling well.. i just love him. ps love all of you so much
Avoid anything with cillin as it’s the same family amoxicillin, penicillin flucloxacillin etc. anything ending with mycen and starting cef will be fine as it’s a completely different family of antibiotics.
I wrote to you in yesterday’s vlog telling you that he may have a reaction to penicillin. Red heads ( per my dr) seem to have more allergies to medications .. I’m allergic to everything. I had a severe reaction to penicillin as a child. It put me in Children’s Hospital for almost 3 weeks..You may want to get him a necklace or bracelet that has his penicillin allergy on it when he starts daycare or preschool. Just so if you’re not there then everyone is aware. ❤️
Jonathan - I realize this was a few days ago now, but I know just how you guys felt with being super paranoid. When this happened to my little guy, I went in to his bedroom throughout the night about 10 times with a flashlight to check on him. My son was SO MISERABLE and itchy that once I finally got him to sleep I hated to wake him so I didn't want to turn on the lights, but I HAD to check to see that he was breathing ok, etc. Very scary indeed. He is now 14 and hasn't had penicillin-derived antibiotics since. When he has been sick and the normal course of action called for penicillin, the doctors were able to prescribe an alternative and it worked without a reaction (they will tell you that even some of the alternate antibiotics have a small chance of causing a reaction in someone who is allergic to penicillin - so that was terrifying! But it turned out to be ok). I'm going to check IG now in hopes that he is getting all better.
The exact same for me, my granda was allergic to penicillin and I am. And after you’ve had a reaction GPs are brilliant at finding alternatives. He will be just fine. 😊 Hope andrea’s on the mend x
I love the way that Emilia is singing. I will like to see her acting. Your family is making me feel better and less stress when I am watching your video. Love you!
I definitely feel for Andrea! I had an allergic reaction to penicillin when I was in 6th grade. Was in the hospital for a week with asthmatic attacks and I broke out in hives. This was in 1983, so not sure if they would of kept me as long now. They said if I had penicillin again it could kill me.
Poor Andrea! My son had a reaction to Penicillin when he was a year old. He screamed/cried non-stop for over 12 hours. It was so bad! I hope Andrea is feeling much better now and that you have gotten some much needed rest.
Poor Andrea he’s in such a good mood considering how poorly he is, My 2yo had a rash a few weeks ago and it’s so scary your mind instantly goes to meningitis, hope he’s on the mend soon!!
I love you all so much, been watching your videos for years. Makes my day watching your family grow! I admire you both so much! ♡♡ I hope Andrea gets better soon 💗 sweet georgous boy 😇
I'm from America, and I studied abroad in Spain. I actually found out I was allergic to Clarithromycin and broke out in hives all over. I was taking it for Tonsillitis. I was 22, not 10 months, but it's just a joy to have that happen. Hope he gets well!
I'm not even finished watching the video yet, but I remembered last summer when Anna got a weird heat rash on her belly. I wonder if that was related to Andrea's coloring/sensitivity?
I work in healthcare and yeah, a LOT of people are allergic to Penicillin... Poor little Andrea.. :( I hope he heals fast! What a joy he is to look at, being unwell and still being so happy!!
Amazing Andrea was fine wearing sleeveless top & short. I would be shivering in the grocery stores. Baba was still so happy even when he was not feeling well.🥰😘
I don’t think Andrea knows how to be angry or sad. His every emotion is happiness.
Idon't know So true!
He has a sweet temperament.

He’s such a little darling . He’s so happy ☀️ such a ray of sunshine .

Andrea is by far the happiest baby he is destined for an amazing life. Eduardo an Emilia’s performances were delightful.

Baba was still so happy even when he was not feeling well.🥰😘
poor Andrea 😭 all the best to him 💙😘 but you guys are pretty cool - I would have freaked out if my little boy would have looked like this 🙈😭🤯
Was refreshing some old memories, and got the notif! 💜
And he still keeps smiling!! What a little champ 😍😍😍❤️
