I've been wondering about your boots. Yes, I remember in your book, Two Friends & a Polar Bear you mentioned there was only 1 boot recommended & it was made in Norway & that you paid $1600 for 'em. Now I know what they look like & the differences between your & Terry's boot liners. I've just learned about PHD Design Expedition equipment & their relatively new Expedition Double-Suit that seems like something worth considering. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
Hi @Aaron. I’ve really enjoyed many of your videos and learned a great deal from you: deepest appreciation. I wonder whether you might comment or perhaps make a video about the La Sportiva Olympus Mons Cube boots with the “skialp” (2-point) binding: in particular whether they would work for Denali and Arctic/Antarctic treks? Very many thanks in advance. 🙏🏻
I haven't seen many Olympus Mons boots on Denali. Many use ski boots and add 40 Below overboots for high camp. The Olympus Mons are lighter than my Millet Everest but the Olympus soles don't last nearly as long.
Are those the $2500 pair? I wish I could drop that on boots. I’m almost ready to start looking for something like your baruntse boots, but I don’t think they make that model anymore unfortunately. I’ll get out in the cold one day Aaron!
Be safe out there. I think the price has come down in the years, but by the time I added extra kartankers, then did shipping and customs, it really added to the price.
👀 Thanks. Again a very good video ! 💪
Thanks!

Yes, definitely expensive.
@@ALinsdau However those boots are a lot less expensive than having any feet amputated or having to be rescued & air lifted.

@@ALinsdau What are your takes on the Olympus Mons in combination with skies on Greenland / Arctic / Anarctic?
