Holy wow this was absolutely incredible. I am also a slow hiker, it was nice seeing someone else say "I am slow but at least I didn't die." That is my attitude as well! I'm not in it for speed. ❤️
That looked so amazing!!!! Thanks for sharing, it really felt like I was there! I am so tempted to travel to NZ with my husband now that we have the Aus/NZ travel bubble, but the fear of the borders suddenly closing due to a surprise Covid outbreak scares me too much. I think I will have to wait a bit longer before I experience these places face to face.
Yes, it’s still a bit risky if you don’t have a job you could just do online if you got stuck!! Hopefully once both countries are more vaccinated, we will be able to travel with more peace of mind!
Just started watching, I think this is the earliest I've ever been to a video, so excited for this content 🌿🤍 thank you for sharing beautiful NZ with us 💖
Thank you so much for filming your holiday. I live with chronic illness so could never do that hike and so it was lovely to see the gorgeous scenery of New Zealand. Hello from across the ditch. 🐨
Thank you for bringing us along and letting us experience this with you Arna ❤ the scenery is so lush and its like i can almost feel how crisp and fresh the air over there. Its so lovely and i'm thankful i got to watch this from far ☺️
I spend almost 3 weeks backpacking in New Zealand last year. I loved this country, and I swear the grass is greener and the water is bluer there! I live in Switzerland and New Zealand is quite similar in a lot of way, but just absolutely stunning 😍
How absolutely majestic and beautiful. I am convinced there is no greater beauty in this planet than mountains and forestry. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure. So many things to add to the bucket list.
🌿🌱🪴🌳🍃 I almost cried. Such a beautiful vlog. NZ is sooo beautiful. Lived in Wellington for 2 yrs in the early 80's. Travelled with my family through the whole of north island, but I still regret not visiting the south island. If there is a wish I have, it is to visit NZ again. 💚
Eeeep! Was so excited for this video!! You did not disappoint!! Love your editing!! So beautiful! 2 sleeps now until he head over to NZ for our 34 day adventure!!! 😍😍😍
Thank you for sharing the beauties of your country with us. Here is too many more moments like this. Moments to take a breath and certainly moments that take your breath away 💕
So grateful you shared your little trip with us, and in such a visually pleasing way too. I’d love to see NZ some day, but this will have to do for now. So beautiful there!
Holy bleep! New Zealand’s always been on my bucket list but daaaaaaaamn! Looks a lot like the west coast of British Columbia and the Hoh Rain Forest in Washington state. Save my pennies, maybe next year we’ll be allowed to travel!
I’m so into your content evolution. I started following a few years ago for beauty content, but your lifestyle content appeals to me more now. Appreciate all you’re doing!!
Haha we live in a pretty volcanically extinct area of NZ thankfully (North Island is more geothermically active), but we have to worry about Earthquakes here 😭
Wonderful video - I visited Franz Josef Glacier back in 2006 and it's so interesting and also sad to see how far it has receded since then! Thank you for the trip down memory lane!!
Ah the stunning views, the beautiful water, the dining birds, the heavenly, wonderful tranquil seclusion in nature, and the hot springs it truly doesn’t get better 🥰 I hope you both had a fabulous time together
Loved the footage of Arthur's Pass. Last time I was there I was a very young. Time to go back methinks. That sunset on the beach...magical. You and Alex...couple goals 💞
Holy breathtakingly beautiful scenes. It's almost too perfect. You two are also too cute. Thank you so much for sharing New Zealand with us. So amazing!! You look gorgeous love the coat. I will probably never actually make it to New Zealand but I feel like I have seen some of it through you. Love how different the different areas are. Gorgeous 😍.
I know I could go for a drive to see Banff or BC West Coast (Canada) to get the similar feel but I would have to keep checking over my shoulder for a bear or a cougar 😱 New Zealand is on my travel list 🌟
The initial montage itself took my breath away! What a beautiful country and you are such an artist for putting together this stunning vlog. Can I ask what camera do you use for vlogging Arna? Edit: The NZ tourism department/ministry should be paying you to create content for them IMO
Haha maybe one day I can have an official collaboration 🤗 You won’t believe it, but most of the scenic footage was filmed on my iPhone 12 Pro with a Gimbal to help stabilise it! Then just my G7x Mark III for normal vlogging bits
This was so beautiful and fun to watch!!! NZ is on our short list of places to visit someday, and over a year of no travel has me aching to see new places, so this was just delightful to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. ❤️
Thank you for taking us on your trip. Even though it has been over 20 years (!) ago since I travelled to NZ it's still absolutely breathtaking!! I took a helicopter trip to the top of Fox Glacier and it was epic! The rainforest walks had all the feels!! Those air bnbs were so lovely!!
I've lived in the SF Bay Area for nearly ten years, but only just made it up to Muir Woods a few weeks ago. It was so beautiful - as lush as this, but with redwoods instead of mountains. I def choked up a few times, overcome with emotion at its beauty. I really miss my trips to NZ, and am bummed I most likely won't end up moving there, but this was a pretty acceptable nature replacement.
Loved this!! It is firmly on my bucket list! I was just thinking “that all looks doable on my crutches/in wheelchair”… then you went to the glacier and I thought, yeah, nah I shall spend extra time in the forest pools 😂🖤 Thanks for sharing! xx
Makes me miss my homeland and also excited to explore more of the South Island when we next get the chance to holiday, which will hopefully be in the not too distant future now we have the travel bubble. Most of our trips back to NZ are spent in ChCh and Ashburton visiting family, so we really need to prioritise getting out and exploring the West Coast; it’s stunning!
I love this video so so much! I too live in Christchurch and very rarely head over to the coast, but when I do or see a video like this... it's just so gorgeous and gives you such appreciation for beauty and places that still look untouched! I need to head back!!! ❤🥰🥰❤xx
Every view of Mt. Cook I got during my trip was shrouded in rain lol. So jealous of the views you got!! Just means I have to go back to NZ one day. :) Thanks for this gorgeous video, glad you got to take this break!
Absolutely!! I feel like Aoraki is one of those cheeky mountains that only shows herself 1/5 of the time 😅 it’s pure luck if the weather is on your side!
Such a wonderful vlog Arna and Alex. I went to Fox Glacier +10 years ago, and just had a look at my photos. The glacier looks a lot different now to back then 😢
Yes 😔 it’s super sad! The Franz Josef glacier use to come all the way down the valley and you could see it from the township! Now, we could hardly get a good view from the end of the hike (which use to end right on top of the glacier!!)
What a beautiful vlog! You guys are so lucky to be able to do this in the year of 2021. Happy to watch it. Too bad about the weather the first couple of days, but that’s NZ i guess. Reminded me of when i went to National Park to go hike the Tongariro alpine crossing, but the fog was so thick and the rain so heavy that i did a shorter hike up to the Tama lakes instead. Still couldn’t see a damned thing, but at least i got the walk.
Wow, this was incredibly fun and relaxing to watch 😍 Those views overlooking the bridges are such a stunning blue. I'm scared of heights so probably crossing one of those bridges would be enough for me 😂 You really showcased the beauty of NZ. If you don't mind, what is that cinematic piece of music near the beginning? Much love ❤
Wow so beautiful! Alex is right is look lovely. I fell in love with NZ watching LOTR. Such a diverse landscape. I really hope humankind works together to reduce our CO2 emissions and help save the glaciers.
I have no words for how incredibly beautiful your country is...thank you so much for sharing it through this vlog..that must have been a lot of work to film and put it all together. I hope to get to visit New Zealand someday!

Wow, this was fantastic. It gave me the feeling of being homesick for New Zeeland even though I have never been! I think that is a testament to the fact that you both did a lovely job of showing off the beauty of it.
