it worked for me. Though I am not sure why you have to take a phone completely apart to change a screen. you would think u disconnect the battery and have at it without having to remove camera parts and the speaker
I would have thought to change the glass you could do it without taking the phone to bits, risking damage to other parts of the phone. Can understand the battery coming out because of any heat used to melt the adhesive
@@PhilipEnglandYT just don't use a heat gun, pretty sure you only need to melt adhesive when doing a "glass only" repair... The complete assembly should just pop off with a guitar pick...
No, no it's not. This guy just didn't know what he was doing. No heat gun necessary. You just drag a guitar pic along the seam between your screen and the phones back-plate, and pop it off. The heat gun stuff is for softening the adhesive between JUST the glass, and the rest of the assembly, for a "glass only" repair. You only need to buy an entire screen assembly if your screen is also malfunctioning, and that repair requires only a guitar pic, or a strong thumbnail, and is very easy, takes about 5 minutes. If your screen is working perfectly fine, then you heat-gun around the edge of the glass, use the thinnest plastic square you can find (I suggest cutting a piece off of a "roll up" cutting board), and drag it about a half inch deep, around the seam between your phones glass and the screens bezel (the part that has a seam with the back-plate), and JUST the glass comes off. That repair is more difficult, requires a heat-gun, but phone glass is dirt cheap, like $5. So don't be daunted by this guy's lack of knowledge, the repair is quick and easy, especially if you do a full screen assembly replacement.
Alr genius, how you suppose to get the assembly unplugged from the board on the back with the battery and backplate covering it@@godchi1dvonsteuben770
I break my phone who is a motorola too.... Damn I didn't knew they open it like a fresh bread and remove anything inside 😮 I was just curious on how they do it Now I see why people phones comeback like they were reset and we have to bring back our stuff on it. Ps ur doing an amazing job didn't knew that was that amount of process ur a pro
Thank you so much. I love that you did a good job, but I would have liked to have seen you turn on the phone at the end. Anyway, I love how you kept it clean and neat too. Last time I did not purchase any repair tape, I just reheated the edges. Next time I'll do it right.
Easy??? This phone I would have to pay somebody to replace this screen. I replaced the screen (and later the charge jack) on my last moto phone. Took 40 min. The back popped off, the battery popped out, and just a t5 driver and a pair of tweezers was all that was needed to get it assembled again. I recognize the tools, but what is the yellow thing? Are you melting glue that holds the case together? My old phone was easy. This is about 5 times more involved. Thank you so much for posting. Would have loved to hear you explain what your doing as you do it👍
Followed this scene by scene, pausing to take my time - the phone exploded filling our home with smoke that made us nauseous. Be careful with that battery y'all

Why are you using a heat-gun @ 8:00, just to pull the entire screen assembly off? All you need is a guitar pick to separate the 0hones back-plate and the screens bezel, and it pops right off! You only need a heat-gun to soften the adhesive between the glass and the rest of the assembly, when doing a "glass only" repair. There's no need for a heat-gun to replace the entire screen assembly!
I ordered LCD screen I connected it phone said hello moto and the screen did not turn on I returned it from eBay I don't know screen was not good or my phone has problem
Video would be much, much, better without muzak, and with narration telling what you are doing and why. This is a teaching video. I give every v clip I watch that doesn't have a narrator a thumbs down and explain why.

I'm thinking buying a new phone might prove altogether an easier process, although I hate to waste money. Also, I feel sort of sorry for the guy who now has to put a pillow down before he can sit anywhere. What do you guys think I should do?
Thank you Geoffrey, I was thinking it was either isopropyl or acetone and you said it was isopropyl. Someone suggested IPA but without someone explaining which solvents work on these types of glue it makes it a risky guessing game.
