Are those the same usually used on indian music along with the sitar?
The drums are tabla. Not sure what drum you've heard with sitar; might be udu. This vid above is with traditional Afghani instruments. I think sitar is more commonly played in India.
They are tabla drums and originate from India, but are used just as commonly in various neighboring regions.

Dear the one you think of is not this one drum is like this 🥁 and in Afghanistan it is called (thabla) but this is called dool. It's Afghani instrument.and drum is beaten with stick and this one with hand ✋
