- If you were lucky enough to visit IMTS in Chicago this year and you made it to see the Haas booth, then you might have seen this cool demo running on our UMC-750SS.
The 750SS is the super-speed version of our already quick moving Universal Machining Center, and here we get to see some of its production capabilities.

Got one umc750ss running all day and most of the night on a 5 axis simultaneous part. Robot is loading the part, total cycle time including part change is about 40 seconds. 1000s of these parts a week. But occupying the machine almost 100%.. So... Ordered another one 😁
pjotter0 - That's great to hear. It sounds like you're putting your UMC to work! If you get the chance between blazing through all those parts, maybe shoot a quick video of your machine and robot and post it on our social media page at haascnc.com or just link to it here. It sounds like something people would like to see!
pjotter0 - But UA-cam commenters tell me Haas is commodity garbage! How can you be a happy customer when the guy using his boss’s three-times-the-price CAT50 Matsuura insists Haas is junk????
what fixturing are you using is it a hydraulic or pneumatic vise and how you did route the air or hydraulic lines in the wouldn't the rotating table on both the b and the c axis cause a problem to the tubing
Damn! Love the tsc drill, that is crazy fast.
The 5 axis work isn’t bad either
Team Haas,
This an amazing video showcasing the capabilities of the UMC 750. Keep up the outstanding innovation!
Edgar, We're glad you like it. Thanks!
@@haasautomation Thanks Haas Team.
We are big advocates for Haas Machine Tools down at South Texas. I work in the Advanced Manufacturing department for South Texas College and we are soon to get a UMC 750. By the way we also have Haas machine tools thorough out the Rio Grande Valley in all our Dual Credit program High Schools.
but I did not like it. Firstly, it was possible to work with a large milling cutter at 2 settings. less tool changes and at the end of the cutter with geometry on steel
Edgar, Fantastic to hear that the students in your area are getting exposed to CNC machining in college and even in high school. This bodes well for manufacturing in the future.
Keep up the great work! Imagine a UMC-750 in a college machine shop, it's almost too good to be true.
The stunning work. So, this why i love 5 Axis.
The 5 axis Haas performs like a champ.
The skills of talented job quoting, manufacturing and quality control groups will avoid having pallets of shiny non-conforming hardware.....It's not Voodoo, It's science.
Don't forget to buy an Excellent CMM capable of verifying product accuracy before shipping to the customer.
Beautiful art.
Thanks Haas team so advance technology I never seen before thanks again
I recommend having a throw up bag handy when watching this video :)
Not used to FPS?
Love your videos, thank you sir.
Gorgeous
1:53 fix this tool path!!!!
Take a chill pill dude! enjoy the art of 5 axis and don't sweat the little stuff... sheesh!
My CAM makes this a lot.
What people do not see, if that was just 2-3 mm more into the material, this would be a bad day at job. This is the reason why you should spend 100k in a simulation suite.
@@solgam are you serious what cam do you use
@@marouanebenderradji137 FeatureCAM I have to manually fix that every time.
working with these machine its a dream for me ‼
me too
We have Haas & Hermle, Haas not a patch on Hermle but then again they half the price. Craziest thing is the B axis works on the opposite side to the control so you can't see what the hells happening.
Which tool holders are being used on the UMC 750ss?
You guys should try Blaser Swisslube's Synergy 735 or other clear coolants during your videos for better visibility!
Joshua, That's a great idea! We've used several clear synthetics on a handful of our videos to get better visibility as you mention. Unfortunately on this one we didn't get the chance to get clear coolant into the machine before it all headed out the door to IMTS in Chicago. Thanks for the comment!
what software generated the toolpaths.....is there any literature to explain what the limitations on the machine are? or steps to take to ensure fluid motion?
first haas i see with a fast tool changer arm.. is that what ss means?
It would be way better if the video showed more of the machine's multi axis milling capabilities - during the roughing stages, like roughing with a 1" Dijet Ball nose.
Most of this makes everything beyond 3 axis looks like an indexer, not live axis'
This entire program would benefit from utilizing G187 P1 sub-routine. It’ll rough it out way faster and produce a better part
One question.... are you use G54 G55 G56 G57 ... ETC FOR EACH PART?
Nice job. What software you used for programming?
I think in another video they did show Mastercam at one point
Kieran Reavley can you please share the link to another video
ua-cam.com/video/lXGJg9RqONA/v-deo.html
Though you never know they may use something different
It’s totally different part and video could be provided from somebody who uses HAAS and not from Haas Automation itself
Baniel Danchado - Mrazil
Can you pls tell me which cam software used for this Machining.
What software are you using for programming?
I need to learn to work with that machine.
How i can to learn??
Is this machine running without coolant?
Don't Fear the Five Axis sung to ua-cam.com/video/ClQcUyhoxTg/v-deo.html Actually I re-played the cutting vid muted with the BOC playing in the background and it works. Love the cradle mounted GoPro shot with the coolant dripping sideways.
Which holders were you running there?
Scott Moyse was wondering the same thing
raptor dovetail for 5x
I think he was asking about the tool holders... the polished ones look similar to schunk hydraulics, but with a larger nose.
@@steves.3485 Kinda. Except, they don't have a nut, they're constant diameter up to the flange. Their SINOs have nuts, but they aren't that chunky
Steve S. correct asking about the tool holders that looked hydraulic
😍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Don't fear 5 axis...maybe just fear machining something other than aluminium
My God...
Daniel Machado - Brazil.🌎
I always fear with 5axis even above 5axis
That tool eye should be retractable like on a lathe. That is a very bad design.
Everything ok except price.
Whats the price ?
@@ignilc A lot cheaper than other simultaneous 5-axis capable machines lol
Haas machine is costly more then ace, lmw and other brands.
slow machine 👎
