Greetings from Arizona, Paul! I'm a brand-new wet shaver at the tender age of sixty-six years old. Since my conversion to this wonderful way to shave I've watched countless shaving videos (I'm retired-I have the time😂). Yours are my very favorites. I enjoy your lightheartedness and humor, and the wealth of info you provide. Thank you so much for your work, and also thanks to Mrs. H for her beautiful creations! A very nice addition. Perhaps I'm biased- some of my ancestors moved to the U.S. from Wales in the mid 1800's. I hope to visit there one day. All the best to you and yours!
Hello Paul! I have not watched your channel for quite a while. Glad to see you're doing well and you continue to follow the wet shaving hobby with heart and soul. It was nice to take a short break in this busy time. Kind regards and all the best!
Great shave Paul, the weather does not know what it is going to do rain sunny rain then a dusting of snow on the hills take care and enjoy the rest of your week 😃👍
I will rinse my blades in alcohol after a water rinse. This will pull the water droplets off the blade, then I let them air dry. Great video Paul I am looking forward to the next shave ;)
Great shave Paul🪒🪒 Edward Jacobs---Edwin Jagger, seems a bit odd eh? I have the original Capt. Choice "North" soap/cream/splash now discontinued, sad as it is a beautiful scent. Fantastic arrangement as always, thanks Mrs H. SOTD: Asylum Shave Works "Royal Fougere" cream/splash, PAA synth brush, Rockwell "6S" razor w/Personna Platinum blade, alum, witch hazel, AV 5in1 balm and Penhaligon's "English Fern" EDT to end...Superior. Nice video and results, thanks. Enjoy your week ahead.
Hi Paul, I’ve been watching your channel for about 2 weeks just wanted to say what an inspiration to others just starting, although I’m growing a beard at this time I’ve been shaving my head for some years now. So I bought a cheap razor to try it never entered my mind about the aggression of those razors can be 😢 so I had a few cuts 🤣 but I ordered a Parker 99R and used a Wilkinson sword standard mate it was the closest have I’ve ever had and NO cuts😅 also I found it doesn’t grow back so quick either, I’ve picked up so much from your videos thank you keep them coming.
Paul, you touched on an interesting subject with wiping the blade after shaving. I always assumed the reason for the warning not to wipe the blade was for safety. Obviously not all manufacturers have that caution. I saw a segment on Geo FatBoy where a wine cork was used to strop the the blade. I have been doing this for over a year with many different blade brands and easily get 5 uses for each blade. Thanks for the great videos.
Another colorful display by Mrs. H. Your shave was a good one as well. When it comes to post-shave razor blade care, I do dab my blade dry on a towel and then strop the edges against the palm of my hand to make sure it's clean from any soap or whiskers. That technique works well for me. In fact, just for fun I recently used a Nacet blade for 10 shaves with no degradation in performance. Enjoy the rest of your week until H&S time.
Thank You for sharing the mid week shave and the products used. Mrs. H flower arrangements are always beautiful snd stimulating to the senses. My question as a collector like you of many shaving brushes is this, How do you store them - in plastic containers or in a compartmentalized box etc.? Please elaborate if you will. Thank You!
Another excellent Easter type floral display by Mrs.H. 👏Weather here in South East part of Australia is a bit wet but not cold as of yet, for mid-Autumn to late Autumn weather this is not unusual.👍🤠
Hello Paul great mid week shave. I've always wondered what Captions Choice North Eastern smelled like. Thank you for this review. I will be adding it to my collection 😂. My mid week shave I will be using a new soap and after shave I picked up from MacDuff Old Strathcona. It's there barber shop scent. It's one of my favorite scents. Have a great rest of the week. Take care
Beautiful spring bouquet from Mrs. H!! I had a PAA shave last night: Star Wisp 26mm brush, Ascension Twist razor, Platinum Strangelet blade(brand new), Cube 2.0, Irish Springs soap and a/s. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Good stuff as always Paul. Question for you? Mat at Razor Emporium is of the opinion that you shouldnt use a bowl to create the lather whether using soap or cream as the time spent creating the lather in the bowl would be better spent prepping the hair on your face by face lathering. What do you think? Im inclined to agree with him...
