I found this helpful, as I have been entertaining the idea of going with an alternative for a ZWO. I learned a lot of general things about these types of dedicated astronomy cameras by watching this. Thank you!
Hola. Tengo la svbony 405cc y me gustaría saber qué programa utilizas fara hacer las capturas y que gain, offset y tiempo de exposición has utilizado. Gracias ☺️
Did they release updated drivers? I heard the cooling had some issues when it was being tested by some folks through N.I.N.A. They said the native driver was good, but, correct me if I am wrong, ASCOM driver? Wasn't able to go below 0°C and the fan wasn't constant, but on and off like a square wave.
@@AstroOnBudget that's good to know. I watched some other reviews and they had issues with the camera getting it below 0°C, and the fan wasn't working right. That's why I asked if new drivers had been that were released.
Hello, I have an ASI 244 colour Camera which i use to as a guide camera at the moment for my 60mm SVBONY n my 120 Esprit - now my stars are a little bloated but my guiding is ( most cases) under 1 arc second, can you tell me if I but the UV/IR the stars would not be bloated and my guiding would be better ? thanks - great content !!
Thank You for the review, I am a bit of a newby and appreciated your advice, I ended up buying this camera after watching your review however I am unsure what size UV/IR Filter suits this camera is it the 2 inch Filter, Thanksin Advance
Hi, a good review of this camera, I've ordered one in preference to the later SV605cc, due to an issue with banding noise reported on various web platforms, have you ever suffered a similar issue with the 405? I've no problem with cal dark frames etc so amp glow isn't really an issue as the 605 now has zero amp glow. I guess banding can also come from fan vibration of which can be fixed with resiliant mount kits.. Best Regards Tom...
Amazing camera. Is SvBony working on a 20 megapixel color Astronomy Camera or is this it for now? The SV405CC might be enough camera for deep space objects. 😎 Thank you.
yes has amp glow, but its not the worst ive seen. for the range this camera is in, most of them have some amp glow. do your lights, darks and flats and edit it out.
Great review. I have had this CMOS for a few days, as used almost new. I did a first experiment a few days ago, but I'm not convinced of the right settings I set: gain 119 and offset 30. I've seen that some keep the gains much lower and the offset at zero. How is it right to set these parameters? Thanks in advance.
@@AstroOnBudget well I’m just getting into astrtophotography. I brought the 102 Ed and need a good camera to go with it. Now this is all new to me so doing my research before I buy something
I'm sorry but this is not very useful too me. This is just a bunch of strange terminology that is for people who already have mastered this domain of endeavor. But I assume that those people already could get this information from a spec sheet. I'm not trying to be a negative jerk here, but I don't really see who this video is supposed to be for.

Nice review on the new camera. This will help with anyone that has an interest in it. Thanks.

Excellent review! It's a great little camera 😁
Haha thanks 👍

I never had problem with temperature going under zero. I use ASCOM, it works well

I hope this is still helpful but 2 inch filter is what you want to go with this.
Thank you for your help.
Glad it helped

There are a lot of negative feedbacks about working SVbony cameras with NINA. Did you experienced any issues?
No never had issues with NINA.

Should run a sensor test in sharpcap. That will give you answers. General wisdom is that default offset with 120 produces best results.
Thanks excellent review,
my understanding is the sony imx533 sensor has zero amp glow. I would question the manufacturer on that. I do like your reviews though.
Yeah thats what I thought but I think it has amp glow but the software covers it.
How much? Is it peltier cooling?
Would you recommend this over the 705c ?
Depends on what you want to do with it. This camera is better overall. 705c is planetary and is uncooled.

@@zachary4225 I think you should go with this camera! Its much better than the other planetary camera you are looking at.
@@AstroOnBudget thank you. Appreciate it.
@@zachary4225 btw why not try out astrophotography with a cheap DSLR before going to dedicated astro camera?
I like mine.
If only it worked with a ASI plus it would be perfect.
Yeah :(
Astroberry.
Dew heater?
What about it :)?
Does it have one?
@@potrzebiehuck Svbony sells dew heater but I don't think it has inbuilt dew heater.
sorry this channel and these videos have great production quality but I have to stop watching the inhale in the mic is so discomforting !
Sorry 😔
@@AstroOnBudget Aw don't worry man it's okay! I'm sorry I couldn't watch it :(
