- Did you get a light-up bracelets at a concert and yours didn't get the signal to turn it all blink-y. Here is how to hack it . Super simple.
Take you time prying it apart. Some are glued better than others.
If you want just wear it and save the batteries, you can cut a small tab from a water bottle to go in the slot and just pull it out when you want blinky lights.
You can cut both traces, it should work. If it breaks when you take it apart, try gluing it together. Take you time prying it apart.
Most people have good luck with the way I show here. If yours doesn't work, try replacing the batteries.
Ill try to reply but I dont check here everyday. About one every few weeks.
Best of luck to you.
Thanks for posting this. I left the show during the extended curtain call and it was lighting up anymore with motion like another band I got at a previous show. My guess was that I left before the band got the signal to switch modes. I can't believe someone actually had a hack posted on it. The beauty of the Internet.
same with me. this girl was able to do it so I tried copying her and nope; didn't work ;-;
Awesome! I got 2 bracelets working this way and have 2 happy daughters. Many thanks for posting!
glad the kids are happy.
Thanks so much!!! My daughter is thrilled!!!!
Take your time prying them open some are glued better than others but they will come apart with some effort.
Since Mine just started blinking when the concert started and stopped afterwards while some of the others continued blinking afterwards. Is this the way?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
INSPirrationalNATURE yes this will activate the motion sensor.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Mine didnt even work at the concert, and the guy in front of me was a photographer only there to take pics, and he gave me his bracelet. so i wanted to give my friend who couldnt go the one that didnt work, but now i can give her one that works ^-^
Worked a OK for me x 4 bracelets, thanks!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks, man.
Thank you! Made my daughter's day to have it blinking again!
Grant Galef Glad to help.
I was able to get my 4 bracelets out of remote control mode into motion activated mode. The batteries do not last long sitting in motion activated mode (maybe the bracelet is still searching for a signal?). So now I replaced the batteries and put a skinny slice of water bottle plastic in the slot between batteries (like it was delivered to most) and remove the plastic when the kids wan to play with the bracelets.
VinBoombatz how did you get it out of remote control mode?
Im going to try this on my bad bunny concert band. Although this one has a triple a batt in it im assumimg the rest will be the same
Same here lol
@@gustavocastrejon8763 Mine was completely different internally. I couldn't figure it out.
Also looking here for the info on the Shawn Mendes Australia tour bracelets that are similar but RGB. Wonder if they need to transmit a wake up signal, or have received a kill signal at the end of the show. Another video said they may control the color with DMX if anyone has that kind of equipment to play around with.
I have a lanyard one from SDCC (Comic-Con) I haven’t even looked to see if it can come apart
When you finish does it stay like that forever?
+HeyItsSophia yes
what does stop getting voltage by cutting that trace? I have a pixmob with a 2013 date and it doesn't seem to have that 2 traces or a jumper on the battery and I can't find how to enable the open mode
Can you use it after the show? Is there any way to use it at home????????????
It works well for me. Thanks!
I tried this, but it only sometimes flashes red, when the cap is off
1. negative up or down? 2. does it matter if the batteries are scratched up?
It is very cool for it ..
Hey. My wristband hasn't been activated. (The string was still between the batteries, while I was at the concert).
I now opened the wristband and cut that string inside. It's still not working.
WHAT CAN I DO?!
Replace the battery. You can cut both and it will still work.
Why did you take it apart? You can access that trace from the bottom if you just take out the batteries...
BohnJuchanan not on my version. it was glued shut.
thank you so much!
It works thanks!
Hi - there seems to be interest in this video again. I do not have the new version of the bracelet. If I come across one I will post a new video.
If I sent a clear photo would you be able to help 🙏🏻 can’t figure it out at all!
@@The_anime_guy12 if you see a model number, I can usually track down a schematic.
@@paappraiser palm v2.6r1
THANK YOU
Can you help me? I have one a little bit different, could you help me know what do i have to do?
What one?
@@paappraiser can you give me your email and I'll send you a photo?
if it just flashing red you need to cut the other trace .
Any chance you get your hands on the new ones from the shawn Mendez tour. So that we may be able to hack those?
Joey Rosas yeah i got the one from Shawn Mendes one, is it the same?
Also interested to know, got 3 of them from the Shawn Mendes show, none of them work after and it makes me wonder if they're maybe a cheaper version without the motion sense or if their lighting engineer just never set it up to send the command to put it in motion mode.
Whatever the case they're cool and all but a bit of a waste of resources if they're one time use only.
i've opened up the one i have, but it has different built where there are no traces what i cant cut or anything like that.. (i wish i can post picture of it in here - it has marking on the circuit board "Designed with 🖤 in Montreal", with black heart)
Thank u it worked for me 😀
how long does it last when u changed the batt. ? also 7 days ?
It worked
where does the spring go ?
if you slow the video down you should be able to see it.
when do you know if the trace has been successfully cut? am i just supposed to be scratching off the grey color? i feel like i've literally scratched it down to the nub and mine still doesn't work...
when you see the board underneath. try changing the batteries.
Why do you cut the trace? Is it necessary to do that step?
JoiB yes
My spring has 2 parts and won't go back in.
What type of battery's ?
I have another Version of the Pixmob, what can I do? I dont have that spot to cut
All versions have a trace you can cut. It may be indicated as "Open Mode" (i.e. V5). Some of them may be a solder via instead of a trace. Also, you "hack" all of them just by removing the batteries. No need to take it apart.
I tried it i for some reaosn didnt work I have like five of them maybe I'll try them
Mali8499 Try replacing the battery or cutting the other trace.
I think I have a newer model and it only has one connection to begin with, what should I do?
cut it and give it a try. they probably updated the bracelet. not much else to do.
Ok thanks a lot, I'll give it a try
+BDitty let me know how it works.
+Not Yours it worked great, thanks!
It takes me a very long time to pry it open. Any tips?
I just got one from a Show but it looks to be a new model, is very different, no traces! :-( Any ideas?
Same here. Is yours white with C E and the marking Made in china?
Shredpirate yes! Yes! Any luck?
Audioandlyrics I can't, I don't have traces!
Mario Azevedo oh ok
Mario Azevedo mine is from the rep i put a plastic strips in the little whole thing so the battery will not connect and turn off wjen you take it out i should work again.
Mine just stopped working... I replaced the batteries, but it still won't work...
+Swiftie 1989 Montreal Tour Did you replace them the right way and use fresh batteries? . They are LEDs and should last a long time (1000's of hours). See this website how to clean a pcb board. www.instructables.com/id/Cleaning-up-your-PCB/
i found out that it was the spring that was gone when I opened it... I took one from a broken pencil, re-shaped it as the one I needed, and now it works!
mine still doesnt work :(((((
if its not working the battery is probably dead
How can I turn it on and Off?
INSPirrationalNATURE The little slit in the side is where a small plastic strip was inserted to keep the batteries separate until you wanted to turn it on at the concert. I've heard of some concert venues where the people who handed you the bracelet had already removed this tab. Just find a small strip of plastic and shove it into that slot. It will keep the batteries apart again and will turn it off.
lizard944 It also should not use the battery if you leave it on the shelf and dont shake it.
1. negative up or down? 2. does it matter if the batteries are scratched up? 3. does it matter if any of those 4 white supporters snapped
+Liter MC Up... You can sorta see it in the video
ua-cam.com/video/f5vR90g7h0w/v-deo.html this giu shows you how to change the battery
