Carpenter / Full time nerd, here: I am pretty sure that orange stuff is for keeping the wood moisturized. Wood will dry out over time and start to look less vibrant. Usually it comes as oil, but that is my guess.

@@ArpYorashol I'd assume you apply some on the included cloth and wipe the case with it, then let it soak in overnight maybe and wipe any excess with a paper towel.

@@ArpYorashol i dont know what that paste is, but i would get mineral oil and put a few drops on the wood and rub it in evenly and then let it soak in for 10 minutes. I would do this every once and a while when the wood starts looking dry. It will prolong the woods life too.

@@Xander_t just bought this board. what kind of mineral oil would you use (the only one I’m familiar with is baby oil haha) and would you wipe it off with a dry cloth after 10 minutes?

Man, that sounds so damn good just right out of the box! It feels like it was only a week ago where something like that would have cost 3 times the price and you'd have to mod the hell out of it to get anywhere near that sound from it. There are so many good options for a lot less money these days. Another great video!

@@LewisToh It's great to see. It's to a point where no matter what your budget is, you can get something that is either good right out of the box, or is at least better than what you had and with a little bit of modding effort, can be pretty damn good for a lot less money.

Great keyboard. Just gotten it. The Rosewood switches sound so creamy and love the wooden case. That's an oilment to coat the wooden case. There are 2 designs, the other is Autumn. Love it.

Yoo Lewis! My MU01 arrived today after waiting for it around 10 days, and unboxing it gives me excitement like a 5 year old little boy receiving his birthday gift! Lol. Loved MU01 as a first keeb and definitely no regret at all! The thock, the design, the feel, it's perfect for a first timer like me. If i'm a content creator, i'll definitely make some reaction video out if it, and another videos of MU01.
Thanks anyway! Your video helps me to confirm my choice, and not disappointing at all! 😂

Akko stabs are normally really good, even the plate mount. I run wood cases, daily drivers are a minila in wood and a 64key in wood.

Hi, this is very unrelated but you should try split keyboards. I built a lot of keyboards but keyboard like the lily58 and sofle v2.1 really showed me a new world of ergo keyboard. You can change the display, add a knob, add a track ball and even add a scroll wheel. It is really difficult to build but trust me its worth it

Hi, can you explain the different between thocck and creamy? To my understanding, Creamy is and foamy keyboard + tape mod with clacky ( mid to high pitch sounding switches ), and thocck is the same foamy keyboard modding but without tape mod and using deep sounding switches? Is that correct?

I'm strictly a 75% keyboard guy because I use F keys on a regular basis for coding and what not but the design, keycaps, wood, styling, and sound of this keyboard just makes me want to buy it for the novelty. Akko blew it out the park with this and to charge under $150 is baffling.
Also how could you change the stock keycaps, they go so well 😅(Send them to me, I'll take them)

@@LewisToh When these companies make products that are more geared towards a collector like a wooden keyboard is they should at least support VIA. I would love to add this to my collection but not installing yet another piece of software. I love 3 other boards out right now the ND75, Lucky65, Yunzii AL71 but with this wooden one and those thats 4 different pieces of software just for key bindings. This is where the hobby frustrates me is we have one software that could make collecting a little easier. I wish manufacturers would see this. I am not alone in this there are 4 boards that would have sold at least to me if they had VIA support.
