One important thing about stacking wet wood indoors is having airflow. Trapping that moisture indoors invites mold to grow. Having a nice cross breeze across that stack will help immensely!
Between 4.04 and 4.07 minutes, you said stacking in the rack measuring 4 foot tall x 8 foot long would get you a cord pretty quick. That would be a face cord, which is only 1/3 of a cord. You would need to fill 3 of those racks more less, depending on length of wood for a full cord. Knowing that as well as type of wood it is, makes a big difference in price when purchasing firewood.
I prefer to stack my wood in circle. I’ve noticed it dries faster and it’s much safer as the wood pile will not collapse on kids or domestic pets. GoRound cover was definitely a good option for me and I love it.
