Her tone and phrasing is just so wonderful.
Shaye is musical genius ... but it takes the genius of the ensemble to reveal the full brilliance. Each of them is playing at a very high level, but I think all of them must recognize how Tuba Skinny has become far more than the sum of it's parts. Whatever else weaves them together, friendships, the NOLA lifestyle, travelling cross country and around the globe ... all pretty significant factors, playing together must be a satisfaction unto itself.
A beautiful masterpiece composed by Shaye and executed by the best band around! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😊👍👍
That's a lucky dog. He's been able to listen to great music all day, and into the evening.
But he's soooooooooooooooo itchy. They should write a song entitled"Itchy Dog Blues"...
'Yes, and he show's good manners too' Ian in the UK.
They're fun to listen to. How do they remember all of their songs!
It DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS. Thank you for sharing your art, each of you.
They make the Street a wonderful and lively place, be it day or nighttime ❤️
Superb example of "tailgate trombone" near beginning!!!!
That wonderfull music. And that beautiful woman Shaye. I am fall in love with you Shaye. Greetings and Kisses from México
Absolutely wonderful magnificent real talented exquisite musicians, and, shaye is gem,its wonderful this Lady tapping in, leading her troops in these beautiful backdrops
What a great session this was! Still coming across different songs they played, and all excellent!
Bravi, bravi, bravi... molto bravi, molto bene. Antonio ❤️
This is the BOSS group … I especially love Todd Burdick carrying the background for all the different instruments. Bravo! Mikie
Great stuff. They keep on going from strength to strength. Top of the shop. Wish they'd come to the UK.....especially Wales.
If they do, they should be on TV with Jools Holland.
Seeing Ewen more than usual on the 2018 videos; hope he’s with them in northeast tour this year.
The tune is 'Salamanca Blues', composed by Shaye Cohn in about 2012. It is on the band's Album entitled 'Rag Band' - issued in 2012.
Thank you very much.
Inspired after a trip or three to Salamanca Place in Hobart Tasmania 5 or 6 years ago. They even recorded an album here.
Shaye and her magical foot ...

Music with soul!
Wonderful as usual, thank you for sharing.
I had so many things planned for today. I thought I'll just listen to 1 TS tune. 2 hours later and I can't remember 1 of those things and I don't care...
Amo esse grupo musical 💓 Brasil um dia vai pra frente.

Omt OMG! God willing!
Let's get them on with jools&cerys at the beeb
As an ardent Tuba skinny fan, i would love to know where Shaye got her inspiration to compose Salamanca blues
The band came to the beautiful Australian island called Tasmania,3 times 'cos they loved it here.Salamanca is on the harbour side of the city of Hobart.and named after a battle the Duke of Wellington and Spanish /Portugese forces drove out the French occupation army from Spain in 1811.
Breaking Bad? ha
Nice! Recordist: tip o'the hat.
From around 0.35, right of screen, waddling away to the beat 😀.
Merci pour cette superbe séance ... Ça a duré combien de temps en tout ? Il commence à faire nuit.
someone have the sheets of this magnificent thing?
So, who stole her heart?
I love these guys. I'm still gonna nit-pick. Ewan Bleach gives the band something the other clarinet players don't: he know how to wail on the top end so it expertly mixes and blends with the trumpet. Although I like raunchy NOLA trombone, I also like sweet, smooth and sexy trombone. Shaye gets the whole Dixie range of colors, this trombone player only knows raunchy. It's fine for a street party, but it gets boring when you listen in a room. Ditto the Sousaphone. I think the ensemble sounds better with a Tuba. Again the Sousaphone is great for loud on the street, but this is tight and intimate. The Tuba also has a sweet side I ain't hearing here. My 2c.
Flea bitten blues for poor the dog there
Cute dog.
Who takes care of him?
@@otiebrown9999 That's Tupelo - everyone loves him but hey, he's a Norlinz boy so everything glides by him....
