Blinken and Wang Discuss US-China Relations in Beijing

- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met China's top diplomat Wang Yi in Beijing on Friday. The Chinese foreign minister said that ties between the two countries were "beginning to stabilize" but also warned that "negative factors" could threaten relations. Blinken stressed the importance of dialogue, saying that both the US and China should make sure "we're as clear as possible about the areas where we have differences, at the very least to avoid misunderstandings."

Let it be clear, China can take Taiwan now. No questions asked. They have more steel, tonnage, ordnance, and manpower in the region than all of its adversaries combined (in the region). The reason they haven't moved to rein in their renegade province is because they haven't achieved their final goal of being able to fully mitigate US naval power throughout the Pacific after the fact. In time, if the US doesn't force a showdown, China will achieve that goal. China is only growing stronger, while the US is only growing weaker. No cap. fr.
