Normal Split View goes all the way to the top/where the toolbar is. Is there a way to get a true Split View/fullscreen split with more than two windows?
that's the question.. was really interested in this app.. I thought it would behave exactly like the system's full screen left to right. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the review. How does this work with music software like Logic? :: For example if you want the multitrack window on the right hand half of the screen, and the plugin you're tweaking on the left? Cheers!
@@CaseyFleetMedia oh really! I tried it and it doesn't seem to recognise the plugin window as something it can work with... how did you get it to work?
@@TommMatthews I tried again and you are right. It will snap the main logic window but it will not the plug in window… You are right. Man that is a bummer!
Does it have a feature of responsive movement (resizing) to the left or right by holding the click between (the middle) borders when you have two windows (for example %20-%80 or %12-%88 depending on my wish) NOT 50-50 or 33-33-33) like Microsoft Windows? I hope I could explain well😊 and magnet or rectangle? Which one is more good?
Thanks for this video! Question: can the app be set to have a set space in between snapped windows? (So that it's not just each window right up against the next.)
I can't figure out why Outlook shows up on multiple Spaces (desktops) when I use Magnet app, That is the only application that does that. Had to disable Magnet so that wouldn't occur, any ideas how to stop that?
I'm having trouble using the magnet app. I have a Mac mini with Monterey OS but I have two monitors - 27" horizontal and 24" vertical. How do I deal with this? I'm using drag and drop. When I try to drag the Finder window to the right side of my screen it goes to my second monitor.
@@CaseyFleetMedia I'm still waiting for a reply from them but I guess I'm not going to get one. LOL! I'm not the only one who uses more than one monitor. I've been using two monitors for years and thought I was going to get a third but decided against it for lack of space.
What a long hard PAID way to do window management !! If you truly want to be impressed with window mangement done right and FREE, take a look at the Linux distro called POP OS by System76. Anything else is over priced and inferior. In POP OS, in the menu bar you toggle a switch on/off to turn the tiling on or off and that is basically it !! I open one app and it automatically opens fullscreen, the next app half screen, the next app half off one half, the next app 1/4 and so on. Resizing any window is a simple click and drag of your mouse and swtching between windows is hold Windows key and use the arrow keys. Each window is highlighted with a large orange border as you click and arrow to it. Or you can simply click on it with a mouse. When you shut down the computer the tiling feature stays on or off and works automatically again. SIMPLE !! I use Mac OS, Windows 11 and POP OS and only POP OS has a decent windows manager period. MAC OS will continue to be the worst operating system of the 3 until it can come up with a native window magement system like POP OS. There is NO reason why Apple couldn't as both are built on UNIX.
Thanks Reverend. nice video. Is there a app better than magnet out there for Mac? Also, is there an app like magnet that snaps windows in place by just dragging the windows to the various zones like Dell's Display Manager (DDM) for Mac?
@@CaseyFleetMediathat's a poor assessment. I use both daily and snapping windows and finding files is way more easier in Windows than Mac. This app is terrible. I have to go up to a menu to snap a window? Yikes.
