Editors stop by the 89.3 studios and play Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors off their 2007 release "The End Has A Start". minnesota.publicradio.org/disp...
Second band I ever saw, six years ago, and they still amaze me. Tom has an incredible voice and Chris was one of the reasons I started playing guitar, and bought a delay pedal. Brilliant.
He has just such a stong but also emotional song which is so unique and special that it makes me sad, not to have the same as he has! Great singer- great band- great song!
I hear that song again and again up and down. I get goose bumps always. I can not get enough. It is so beautiful and somehow sad. Greetings from Germany.
This song always takes me back to that time when i thought my band would never get in the studio and i would never find the right girl, this song will take alot of people to alot of hard time :), why it will be remembered as a great tune :)
Eine Kollegin von mir war bei Rock am Ring und hat mir von dieser großartigen Stimme erzählt. Kannte ich bisher nicht. Bin schwer begeistert! Never heard of them til today. There's no fuckin way I ever gonna forget about them again! This voice is incredible.
Awesome song! How ironic seeing so many smokers outside the hospital doors (Gloucestershire Royal Hospital) with in a NO SMOKING ZONE in big red letters. Best wishes Peter with your recovery, next time use the green cross code, love from your twin bruv.
I don't know if I hate you or to love you. I never heared a song so true to my feelings and thoughts. And I hate you for saying what I could not. I listened to your song all day long, repeating all day long. Whenever you come to germany or the netherlands, i'll be there!
agreed, but.................. now so editors - i love both of the bands.. i understand your comment but have had to live with my first 'fav band' pearl jam resonate in new bands and at first it killed me.. but then my heart ran true and i held my passionate alliance and admired the other bands atempts.. although in this case i actually do love the editors more than interpol, but purely based on the end has a start being an amazingly coincidental soundtrack to my 2008..
Why not comment on the song, rather than the fashion? Maybe it was cold indoors.. Who says it was hot? Great version of this song! About the time this was released when I went to see them, big singalong for this one!
Tom looks so funny/cute when he starts singing, smiles, and looks to the right at 0:18.. I love Chris, but I wonder if the guitar could have been a bit softer during this set.
@sahseeker ; thats not in reference to the song though is it? I mean, what if he was cold? Do you know he wasn't? If I see someone performing a great song like this, the hat they're wearing is the least of my worries. It's as much useful as saying his shirt is white, whats with the white shirts? Who gives a shit.
I couldn't believe it when I found out the song was written by Peter andre but he felt it wasn't his style and gave it to the editors as more there sort of song. peace
I guess you don't believe the album credits then. It says right there "All songs written by Smith/Urbanowicz/Leetch/Lay." www.discogs.com/Editors-An-End-Has-A-Start/master/3784
why people have to compare everything? How many bands have similar sound but keep their identity? Besides, Editors have a wonderful attitude . I´ve seen them 3 times and they´re amazing. On the other hand, interpol was a huge disapointment. Snobs and rude.

@Rocky777 Especially in this video. I always hate when I compare Editors to Interpol... but damn, this could straight up be them.
Why not comment on the song, rather than the fashion? Maybe it was cold indoors.. Who says it was hot?
Great version of this song! About the time this was released when I went to see them, big singalong for this one!
@nickwoott im sorry, but if that chorus doesn't get right to you then there is something wrong with you.
I hear a piece of Miike Snow's Black and Blue in the piano.
just download the vdownloader !
with this program its possible to download every youtube file as a mp3
maybe the headset was really powerful and was squeezing his head
his voice is just like -David Fonseca-
have you ever listened to their other music? definitely joy division influenced.
guitar!!!
Tom looks so funny/cute when he starts singing, smiles, and looks to the right at 0:18..
I love Chris, but I wonder if the guitar could have been a bit softer during this set.
where can i download this version?
That was already fashion a few years ago?
what a very very manly voice he has
In what city is this station in?

Interesting. Who's Peter Andre?
Incorrect. Editors wrote this song.
no Peter originally
I guess you don't believe the album credits then. It says right there "All songs written by Smith/Urbanowicz/Leetch/Lay." www.discogs.com/Editors-An-End-Has-A-Start/master/3784

Glad you liked it. I liked as well ;-) Yeah bitch!

why people have to compare everything? How many bands have similar sound but keep their identity? Besides, Editors have a wonderful attitude . I´ve seen them 3 times and they´re amazing. On the other hand, interpol was a huge disapointment. Snobs and rude.
na, interpol.
and certainly not Ian Curtis.

Why do you have a floopy dick?
Mhmh, definitely influenced by Curtis.
