All cameras have negatives in performances, but if you know what they you can do, then they can take the greatest photo's imaginal. My newest favourite youtube channel, love the fashion shoot video. I got my x100v on the mail yesterday and now I'm even more excited that you own one! Looking forward to more x100v videos! Your style and way of shooting is very motivational, keep killing it! 💥 Fuji gang Fuji gang Fuji gang
I bought a X100T and quickly upgraded to a X100F because I found one locally for a great price. Sold the X100T and I'm happy with the X100F. At least until I saw this video...
Dude. I just got my 100V rental in and the lens is broken. I’m getting a full refund, but that told me everything I needed to know about never buying this camera. It’s unfortunate because I’m in love with it. It’s just a shame the X-E4 was so minimalist.
@@cammackey it was a realization that if anything happens to the lens, the camera is worthless until it’s repaired. I would at least want to get something with an interchangeable lens now. But your right, it likely been beaten up since put into service.
@@kevindiossi I haven’t heard of too many people having issues with the lens. It feels decently robust to me personally. I did order a skin for mine tho because I already know I’mma be tossing it around haha
Buy the jjc L plate that has the extra grip for your fingers, trust me, I waited too long to buy it, I felt that I didn’t have a great grip of the camera and now it’s night and day grip
My x100f has the weirdest piercing sound when I trigger its inbuilt flash, is this normal? Also, would love to see you try out the Leica Q2 as I'm drooling over it these days 🤤
Mmm I’m not sure. Usually flashes have some kind of sound when charging back up. I’m use to all of that so if there is any sound I haven’t paid any attention to it
I had a feeling when I watched your first video that X100V would be following you home. Though I did wonder if you'd pick up a XPRO 2 or 3 maybe the XE3/4 so you could change focal lengths. Or are you finding the leaf shutter a big factor? Enjoy the new camera/shooting for fun.
Yeah, I'm may get one when the fifth-gens come out and the price comes down. Really keen to get an X-Pro3. Sigma also have sophisiticated film simulations since they had to do a whole lot of spectral work with the Foveons. You may like the fp and fp L "teal & orange". They also have a fill-flash exposure effect which is apparently genuinely good, not cheesy. Ask them for one to play with.
I’ll look into it! I’m a bit over/burnt out with gear. The x100v just really caught my attention. I am beyond happy with my canon R5 tho, it matches my vision perfectly so not planning on messing with anything else really
Now you’re talking my language ;) been daily shooting with the x100f for a while and not sure if I need the v to upgrade too for daily shooting separate from work work.
@@cammackey I do love it, and have made my own preferred setting tweaks “recipes” of course I’d dig the Classic Neg for in camera, and (if this makes sense) there’s some quirks and little minor challenges that makes me feel even more like when I shot 35mm which makes me treat the camera as I need to plus…. I got it used for around $500. I feel like once it’s completely done for (hopefully years down the road) would be the only real reason to upgrade for me. If it was my only or main camera for sure, but for what I use it for (very similar to what it seems you use it for) it checks the boxes.
@@cammackey also I would love a video or even an e-mail about all the good ways to utilize the on flash of x100 beyond the ttl or any over/under exposure comp. Stylistically. (I did see the recent cannon direct flash video, dug it), but yes like go to settings or force flash, any of that kind of stuff.
I'm also a huge fan of Classic Negative. I've really only used it on a super sunny day so I want to see what it looks like in other settings too. Very thorough review of both cameras. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I don’t like 50mm. I do like 85mm and up tho, but that’s for portrait work. 16mm-35mm I’m a big fan of. But I plan on using the X100V as a documentary camera. Capturing fun real life moment or creating fun real life moments on shoot. Story telling.

My X100T just arrived a few days ago. I guess I am weird, but I went with the T for a few reasons. First, the front command dial on the F and V looked odd and ruins the aesthetics of the camera. Second, 16mp is fine for me and can make F2 shooting a bit better with the previous lens version (same as the F, S, original) since a bit less resolution. Lastly, the T can be had for less than half the price of a V or maybe even F. I might bite on the X-Pro 3 in a year or two when they show up used. Seems like a poor man's Leica M-D.
