Heard the 'London Grammar' sound first in my Italian coffee bar in the middle of Brussels and was instantly fascinated by the crystal-clear voice of the lead singer. Wonderful how the sparsely used instrument leave a lot of room for this Pamina-voice. So different from the often bland soup of contemporary commercial music.
Saw these lot live last night, her voice is phenomenal, it was absolutely fantastic hearing this live, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. Love this song.
“And when your house, begins to rust, oh, it’s just, metal and dust” ✌🏼 Be nice to each other people. Uncertain times call for people to unite and be the best versions of themselves.
And so, you built a life on trust Though it starts, with love and lust And when your house, begins to rust Oh, it's just, metal and dust We argue, we don't fight We argue, we don't fight And all foundation that we made Built to last, they disintegrate And when your house begins to rust Oh, it's just, metal and dust We argue, we don't fight Stay awake in the middle of the night Stay awake in the middle of the night We argue, we don't fight Stay awake in the middle of the night Stay awake in the middle of the night We don't argue We argue, we don't fight Stay awake in the middle of the night Stay awake in the middle of the night We don't argue We argue, we don't fight Stay awake in the middle of the night Stay awake in the middle of the night We don't argue We don't argue We don't argue
I seriously can't stop listening to this, it's been over a month and I still listen to it on repeat for hours on end every time I think of it... which is clearly often
Hanna Reid, singer of London Grammar, your voice is: Haunting, Deep, Melancholic, Strong, Soothing, Comforting... NAMASTE means 'the potential divine in me salutes the potential divine in you' and I wanted to salute your soul for deciding to incarnate on Earth and offer your voice to us, mere mortals. Besos.
She's a mere mortal just like we are. I mean she has a great voice but it's not like she's a deity or something. I'm glad she exists just like I'm glad that you and me exist.
The drums only enter in the last minute...Now is this daring enough or what?! Who else could stand a song for so long?!! With their massive quality, it went smoothly unnoticed!!
Can you believe it.....heard this song twice over two days.....the first time i was shopping in a jeans shop and this was playing...i thought fuk me this gooood!!! But i only got the end 1 min of it and i was mightly peed off when it ended with me not knowing who sung it. Though i had an idea it was london grammer but wasnt 100% sure . So today i was in bluewater walked into shop and guess what?! This was playing again!! My little 6 yr old daughter was smiling back at me when i looked down at her......we both carried on walking round the shop humming this tune....walked out that shop high on life! Now thats what powerful and wonderful music does to you. 😎 I went and downloaded this amazing song! Thankyou. X

This song is so sombre...but its a beautiful feeling of sadness. I can't describe it. It just reminds me of everything I regret, but also whenever I left somewhere I wished I didn't have to leave or end.
Yep, I’d bought the album for him for Christmas, and on New Year’s Eve he walked out on his partner and this was the one cd in the car, so it got a lot of plays back then, I can’t help but connect these songs back to that period in my life…
I love to listen to London Grammar while on the road. I get really angry sometimes and roadrage, so I listen to this music and it helps calm me down =)

This might sound really weird... but this song reminds me of Ghost in the shell. Yoko Kanno's soundtrack to it... i think its the beats that phase in the background. and the strings.
The original version is a nice song. I am just discovering this band. The remix on Chill/sirius is what brought me here and that version will knock your socks off.

I love how you made a reference to the Magic Flute, one more of my favourite music pieces of all time.
After all these years still one of my favs was so lucky to hear it live 🔥
Lucky you😮
I love this band so much. So relaxing and chilling.
Exactly how I fell
+Karine C. I fell the same way.
+Merlin I fell this song might be a bit of a grower as it's not as instant as some of their others. Just the way I fell about it anyway.
In spanish: Impresionante, is TOP.... LondonGrammar The best
I totally agree
Still their best this one… so melancholy and rich with the bitter sweet taste of life
The girl's voice is really outstanding. Much deeper and more interesting to listen to, as compared with most of modern-day pop woman singers.
cant get over them. they're great. simple and beautiful.
Internal beauty
I'm Mexican, and I obsessed with LONDON GRAMMAR. Their music is amazing.

This one is my favorite, so beautiful! especially with headphones.

This song is especially good when performed live, particularly towards the end.
Absolutely spot on! It turns in to a very very good dance tune
The band seems to really enjoying playing this one, which comes out in the quality of the performance
Agreed! Saw them in Oakland, this was the highlight of the show for me.
Saw these lot live last night, her voice is phenomenal, it was absolutely fantastic hearing this live, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. Love this song.

Amen brother.

Its really nice to find music that you can just pop headphones on and drift away to another place.
Fantastic Music.
Her voice is so reminiscent of a young Annie Lennox, except with even better half-scale vocal transitions. Haunting, elegant, superb.
