  • The Cincinnati Police Department released bodycam showing officers arresting two teens after they allegedly ignored commands to stay out of the street. The teens were selling water on the street and impeding traffic, police say. Officers arrested the teens for obstructing official business and resisting arrest. This footage was released in response to a story circulating around social media stating that officers arrested the teens for selling water.

Whether it's kids, teens or adults,...that's what happens when people take something that another person told them,at face value and then repeat it to others.
People need to do their OWN research and make sure it's from a reliable source. Why is that so hard to put into practice? I just don't get it.

For some Flippin reason they think they are above the law. Disrespectful. Just listen when a police officer says do something, do it or face the consequences. This all starts at home. If they are not raised to show respect, then it just keeps carrying on for generation to generation. I can tell you, if my son did that I would let him stay a few days in jail. They acted like punks. And how do I know I would have done that to my son, I did it.

Fr, honestly if I acted like that every time I had an encounter with a police officer I would’ve probably had a messed up record, there was one time when I was literally doing 100 in a 70 and a cop just gave me a warning bc I was polite and compliant (he asked for permission to search my car and I had nothing to hide so I told him go ahead, I didn’t want to pull the “I know my rights” card) and then one time after I bought a new jeep I didn’t realize I had to turn the lights on manually so I got pulled over the cop literally just showed me how to turn them on and let me go (didn’t even ask for my license). The point is politeness goes a long way when dealing with law enforcement.

The education definetly plays an important role, but if the parents are ignorant, the kee-aids won't be corrected at home. Thanks Mango for highlighting the bad grammar. The officer should have first cited him for impeding traffic, then charged him with obstruction as in court the obstruction charges on there own will most likely be dismissed that is if he takes his right to a good attorney.
Disrespecting the officer is not a crime I will say he did incriminated himself when he said "How am I supposed to sell water unless I go into the street?" This is why you have the right to remain silent never talk to the police without a lawyer.

It's the same thing every time..."guys, you're not 21, you know you can't be in here".. then they don't leave, act just like these kids were acting, try to creep closer to the stuff on the counter, and it takes me either calling the cops or coming around the counter to force them out. I've had to go hands on a few times when they tried to come behind the counter. We've been robbed at gun point a few times by kids, and of the ones we do kick out, they mess with the store for weeks afterwards for "disrespecting" them. We lost a few employees from them quitting because they couldn't deal with em anymore. It was relentless...until I recently discovered electromagnetic locks. Now we buzz people in. I can't believe I didn't install those in a few years back when all this nonsense started happening.

The cops did their job by trying to clear the teens out of the intersection. You see how things get out of hand right away with the teens ignoring warning to stay out of the road. Then when one gets him self thrown in cuffs for failing to follow the directions of the officer, all these other folks show up out of nowhere acting like they are going to bum rush the cop. The cop ends up calling for help, do to the near riot conditions that now exist. The teens want to be treated equal & have equal rights & privileges & they do. It is against the law for these teens to stand on any roadway for any reason what so ever. That law is designed to protect them from getting hit by cars, trucks, & buses that use the road & getting seriously hurt or killed. The cop was not picking on these teens. He was doing his job by enforcing the laws designed to keep everyone safe. Some people never learn.

The second I saw that cop pull that gun out I was shaking my head. These kids are just gonna grow up to be menaces to society, they could have literally just apologized and walked away, but no they had to talk back and cause conflict. Bet they aren’t so tough after all.
