This band is so underrated. Negotiations (the album) bursts with more emotion than I can even handle. It's definitely let me get through some tough times. I've listened to it for so long that I overlooked their debut album (of course Keep Your Eyes Ahead was also good). Would love to hear them flesh out that strong rock sound that they have on that first album. Anybody know if they're working on a new album?

God damn this is great. Saw them live about 3 times (opening for Keane) and became an instant fan. Ben Weikel is like the Dominik Hasek of drummers (unorthodox, but one of the best of all-time). When seeing them live, you can't help but keep your eyes on him the whole time.

Just last week I saw them play in a small club in Vancouver B.C. and the quality of the sound system wasn't up to the job for the kind of sound these guys put out - still, it was a great performance & I could tell these guys are talented musicians out of the studio as well as within - just nice to see them play with a system that does them justice.
finally! the first good quality live performance by them on youtube! was literally listening to "Lately" when i saw this on my subscriptions. i can always count on KEXP haha thanks
oh man! negotiations is great personal aoty for me, can't believe you had them on!!!! so psyched. been a fan for years man, keep your eyes ahead was so good, they did the perfect followup. i even got to see them in chicago at ATP a couple years ago, ben is such a great drummer. seriously man these guys got me into like independent music when i was just discovering how to use the internet. so glad they're still workin :)
Yeah watching Ben play the drums makes other drummers look like their not having as much fun. He's on beat when when I've seen them live, but it's really hard to stay in rhythm yourself when you just focus on his movements. Fantastic band they pack so much sound that it's a shame if you see them only indoors.
Great performance! I always figured they had extra players for touring. It's kind of lame to play to triggered prerecorded tracks, but at least they're performance is top notch!
