Well done old boy. For Halloween one year I did two mounded graves with broken fencing crosses one Arch Stanton the other UNKNOWN on the front veg patch. The kids loved it ,but know one got it.?
Hi Deb, honestly I don't think it changed anything that much. I had read somewhere that certain vegetables didn't mind a beer so I thought it would be an interesting experiment. It certainly didn't affect their foliage, they continued to grow as normal, the only thing it did prove was that beer doesn't kill them
I'll guess 50lbs each. No idea how far out that'll be as I've never grown a pumpkin. TBH I'd rather have 20 little pumpkins than one big one as I like eating them roasted but I couldn't eat one that size :D
Good guess Snafu. These pumpkins were grown just for their size this year as I wanted to try and beat a previous weight of 86 pounds. Next year I'm gonna grow another big pumpkin and some different eating pumpkins
Hi Adam, I always enjoy your growing guides, I imagine there must be quite a bit of film to edit in order to achieve the finished video. Whether the beer does much to the pumpkins weight gain I don't know, but fairly certain Jacks Magic plays a large part! Two very acceptable pumpkins for sure.
Hi Robert, the editing process for a video like this is done throughout the year as each clip is filmed and then joined onto the previous one. Jacks Magic and beer certainly went hand in hand to help swell those pumpkins. Hopefully I'll grow a bigger one next year.

Wow bloody brilliant adam. Will you be eating them?
They're off to be carved ready for Halloween
Had to stop the beer my pumpkins kept beating my wife
Never use Stella, it tends to have that effect
Wonderful 🎃
Thanks 🙂
Hi Adam, I'm planting my pumpkins out this weekend here in aus, so I might give the beer a go. Cheers
Hey Keith - good luck with them mate. Don't rely on my method though... do what suits you 🙂

Brilliant... I know EXACTLY the film you are referencing one of my favorite westerns. "Blondie, you know what you are,,, just a dirty sonofabi,..."
hi Adam, I'll go with 30lb for the Pacific giant, and 35lb for the Atlantic giant. x
We're you right Kath with your guesses? The video where I weigh them is out now if you are curious 🙂
Ha ha, I was way out Adam, fantastic result though I'll definitely e trying beer next year. X
Well done Adam! Hope you bought the cheapest beer 🍻 or else it could turn out to be a bit expensive 😄😆😂
Hi Mary, yeah they were pretty cheap cans to be honest... I wont be using wiskey next year 🙂
4/0 Job on those bud. Thanx for posting.
Thanks buddy - I hope you're still on the mend
@@AllotmentGrowHow Last surgery is 2 Nov. If I don't stroke out, I'll be back on my feet sometime in late Jan, early Feb. Thanx for asking bud.
@@rwglavin3794 You are gonna be fine my friend and will be back at it next year for sure
Hey Adam, I’m curious what your thoughts were about adding beer to their diet? Did you notice any change in the foliage after? Fun video…thanks, Deb

@@AllotmentGrowHow Lousy guess you mean 😄 I should have thought about it a bit - my dog weighs more than 50lbs and those pumpkins were twice his size.

Beautiful pumpkins, good job. I guess 70lbs. 🤷🏻♀️I’m probably over but they look pretty solid to me.
Interesting guess Geri, the video where I weigh them is out now if you fancy seeing their actual weight
Hi Adam, you have certainly done well with those. I will have a guess that one will be 5 stone. (Approx 56 lb). 🎃
5 stone is 70lbs (14lbs in a stone x 5)
@@Tsnafu I am well aware of that.
@@davidtansley5766 Then pick one. 56lbs (4 stone) or 70lbs (5 stone)
Cheers Dave
Can you tell me what the prize is please if I guess right?
You haven't guessed yet
How much water did you give these per week?
10 litres a day
