I have a 3.5+ and will soon be upgrading to the 4 as a Christmas present to myself. This is despite the issue that I'll mention now. The biggest problem with the Clicgear 3.5 and the 4 is the way the front wheel is attached to the aluminium front arm. To enable the front wheel to swivel out of the way for folding, it is attached via a plastic lug on the inside of the tube. Over time, with constant folding and unfolding, and if you are a frequent forager in the rough, where the ground is uneven, then this plastic insert wears. This results in a lot of slack movement of the front wheel. You'll get a year or two before you start noticing the play in the front and the internal plastic parts can be replaced (be gentle with the nuts and bolts as they are housed in the plastic. If you strip them they are inaccessible). It would be great if Clicker beefed up the internal parts in the front wheel swivel mechanism as it's a great cart. I'm getting a 4 regardless 🙂
Regarding the strapping of the stand bag, why did you not use the upper adjustable saddle as it was intended? The way you strapped it looked very strange and not very practible.
Thanks for the great review....Just got the same color and model today...I had been looking for one for 2 months and finally my home course got one in and I snagged it..The pro shop manager gave me 10 percent off too so that was a plus..Will try it out tomorrow
How does the umbrella rubber strap work? Do you just lift it up over the top of the handle to strap it down? Btw excellent reviews man, thank you! Just got my Clicgear 4 home and love it, just trying to figure it out
I finally figured out what the Velcro loop by the silicon straps on the left side of the top arm is for. It’s to strap an umbrella. There’s a small loop at the bottom arm for the umbrella tip and you secure it with the Velcro loop.
I was thinking the same thing! My new Clicgear 4 just arrived yesterday, I watched this just to see it quickly opened and closed (and thank you, watching you do it a couple times was very helpuful!) and to see any features I might have missed when shopping for it.
Thanks for that detailed review. Everything I need to know was covered. So much so I've bought one, despite the Clicgear Rovic RV2L falling apart on me.
Great review!!! I have 3.5+ and I love it. Super solid and it already paid itself from renting carts on short courses. 4.0 has some nice new features but agree it’s not worth to upgrade. New buyers definitely should get the 4.0 if I were you. I can see this cart will last a long time.
Clicgear 4 Is my first golf cart . I haven't got any other carts, but I think, this is BEST CART( in category 3- WHEEL, WITHOUT MOTOR). I test this vehicle today, because I buy it. I write only negative, this cart have many + and write them now...: - The cart have score card and the pencil store maybe small - These carts aren't in shops! People buy them very much, I must wait about 1,5 week😂 (In real this isn't negative for me) - 🤔 I think, there isn't any problem (s) The cart have for me 97%🏆. (Sorry for bad English, I' am from Czech Republic)
Great video, thanks! Like the color too. You mention that yours is silver, but it appears light gray, or white? Is the sunlight changing the appearance?
What is the brake dwn pricing of the following: Clicgear 4.0 with the following Accessories : Sterring Knob, XL Cup Holder, Seat, Bag Cozy, Shoe Brush Bag Cozy.
I find it very hard to open and close especially if you add the storage bag, it gets in the way when closing, the cup holder also gets in the way when closing, plus it never stays straight. Also the front wheel is too close to the bottom of the bag and sometimes hits. The other negative is when opening and closing you’re usually on pavement in the parking lot and it gets all scratched up. Also I’m on my second brake gear part, if you push before forgetting to release the brake the gear tabs snap off. It’s only $5 part but after shipping it’s over $10. The thing is like a tank and it rolls forever down hills but it has many negatives, I’m actually thinking about the Bag boy nitron.
Hi. Thanks for the unboxing and good info. I just bought this for my 11yo daughter and she loves it! What are the velcro straps, which are attached to the rubber bag holder straps, used for?
hi mate- i just bought my clicgear 4.0- everything better than 3.5+ except the folding of ths straps. They seem to get in the way when folding up and require a time consuming folding back which was is a hassle compared to the 3.5+ which was just a clic away and forget experience any tips for the folding away of the straps or experiences would be welcom.
I noticed the clickgear models are heavier than many of the competitor models but also feel sturdier. You did not mention how they roll compared to competitors but also what is the difference from the cart bag vs. carry, in terms of effort, in your review. Can you please share some comments? Thanks
Love my 3.5 ... can put it up in a few seconds ... the big problem is with the braking system ... if you get your timing wrong and push the cart before releasing the brake it snaps off one of the teeth on the front wheel ... I know it’s my fault but never the less I’m not the only one to do this ... you can replace the part though cost me £13 in the uk .. won’t bother upgrading as it looks like they have retained the braking system on the 4 . Thanks for your review.
@@FuriousTechnology Hi, I've had this new 4.0 trolley now for only 15 months, and brake cable snapped yesterday! My previous 3.5 lasted only 15-18 months as well, so not sure the brake system on the 4 is any better tbh!? That said, how can I check please if it has actually snapped, or something else as mentioned above? The red brake activator on the handle is now essentially completely floppy, ie it does not engage the brake.. Many thanks in advance.. Andrew
Isn’t the “front wheel adjustment “ screw to adjust direction? Like if it pulls left, you adjust it to roll straight? Also, is there more clearance between the bottom of the bag and the front wheel??
I'd like to buy the 4.0 but I don't like the 9 new colours they offer... The blue and blue/red 3.5+ looks so much better. The price difference is like 30€ so I will still probably buy the new 4.0
Where I live, the 4.0 is sold out until September. This year there has been a huge spike in demand for push carts/walk golfing because of the virus outbreak. Lots of courses aren’t renting out push carts.
I think they are excellent golf carts ,, we now have a model #4 ,, most unfortunate that they didn't design it with a swivel front wheel. I have the Rovic 1 ,, which fits the Alphard e-wheels, the Rovic 1 although it has a swivel front wheel is a terrible golf cart, one of the worst I've come across in many years.
From the 3.0 it’s definitely worth upgrading too. The newer features make the cart way more useful. I just posted a comparison video of the 3.5+ to 4.0. Check that out, it may help answer some more questions before upgrading.
I feel like the clicgear is a little overpriced for what you get. Does anyone have any real world experience with this cart. I'm split between this and the bag boy nitron
You get what you pay for. There are cheaper push carts available although they’re cheaper only because they cost far less to manufacture due to inferior parts, cheaper labor, no warranty.
It's pretty fucked how the 4.0's top straps are too short for the Sun Mountain C130, only the #1 best selling bag, which I have and my bag falls off my fucking 4.0 fairly regularly. I'd like to know who the fucktard is that designed the 4.0 straps and allowed that to get thru R&D. Perhaps they don't do any R&D. These carts are expensive and I expect way better for my money. I called Cliqgear about some parts and mentioned this just yesterday and the guy on the phone acted like it was the first time he'd heard about this fucked issue. Yeah right, I'm now seeing several threads online regarding this too short strap issue, just ridiculous they put this out man. I had the older model which had the longer straps which worked fine. Big fail from Cliqgear and I'd expect by now that they'd have an extension solution available or perhaps they just don't give a golly gosh darn, like most company's these days. I get pissed GD it, lol. Good day.
'storage' area is not 'nice and big'...literally will not fit an iphone 13 with otterbox cover. Wallet?...sure, couple golf balls, keys, but big?...not even close, barely fits anything at all. Great cart, storage is SMALL
Nah, electrical push carts are far more expensive and most electrical components don’t hold up when exposed to the wet weather, humidity, dirt and outdoor elements. In that case, buy a ClubCar golf cart.
This is not really a review is it? Its more of a promotion. Everything is really handy and nice about this cart. Now please click on the link provided and buy it, so i can get my 10% affiliate commission 😂

Another very helpful video. I'm taking my new for a spin thus afternoon and would've spent 30 minutes trying to open it without this vid!
Thanks a lot. I just bought one and the video solved a few mysteries.

Glad to be a help :)

Just purchased this today after trying the 3.0 at my Clubhouse (fell in love). Dont see me buying another pushcart anytime soon!
Informative review. Have you noticed that you use 'little' as an adjective to describe almost every aspect of this cart?
I finally figured out what the Velcro loop by the silicon straps on the left side of the top arm is for. It’s to strap an umbrella. There’s a small loop at the bottom arm for the umbrella tip and you secure it with the Velcro loop.
Yes you are correct. I forgot to mention that in the video.

How does the umbrella holder keep the umbrella in it? Nowhere do you explain what the rubber ring thing does

Would you still recommend this push cart today? Over the bag boy nitron or the newer 8.0 clicgear
I still use this today. It’s been amazing!
They need to add spot on the console to place your phone/gps like most other push carts now provide. Surprising they missed that key detail.
I noticed the clickgear models are heavier than many of the competitor models but also feel sturdier. You did not mention how they roll compared to competitors but also what is the difference from the cart bag vs. carry, in terms of effort, in your review. Can you please share some comments? Thanks
They roll a lot smoother than other similar carts. The wide tread and weight help it a lot.
Great review! Great job
There is also a correct way of securing the bag tie down straps, instead of them left dangling.
Would you say this buggy is super handy?
Thank you. I just got the silver one.
Do you think the 4.0 fits inside the bag of a 3.0 ?
Have the model 4 for over a year, great except it turns to right and can not find where to adjust to roll straight.
What is the Velcro for, bottom front of mesh net, and with the loop holes on both sides?
great review, what to do if your carry bag is hitting the bottom wheel???
get a new bag
Is it worth the upgrade from a 2.0?
Great review, what is the model of that Mike cart bag? Looking for one I know that works well with the clicgear 4
Super nice, super cool, super easy, super super handy...

great vid. i would LOVE to order one but EVERYTHING is out of stock til mid august!! UGH thanks covid. got any used ones you want to sell??? thx
Hopefully you can find one soon. Keep checking Amazon.
The 4.0s are going for $450-550 on eBay right now. So glad I got my 3.5+ last year!
Great review, thanks for sharing!
will it work with a junior golf bag fit in it
The shoe brush does not indicate it's compatible with 4.0. Have you tested that?
A bit late but it's compatible, have it on my 4.0
Can it hold a junior golf bag
hmmm this or the RV1S Rovic? Great review!
How does this compare to the bag boy nitron?
This is much better than the Bagboy nitron. Clickers build quality and durability is top notch!
