An indirect free kick is awarded if…a player prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from the hands; or kicks or attempts to kick the ball when the goalkeeper is in the process of releasing it. Rule 12.16 says that it is still in goalies possession until it hits the ground.

Not illegal keeper has thrown the ball out of his possession unfortunatley if no ones touching the ball its a free ball and anyone can take it its the keepers awareness that is very bad in this situation if you watch gks in games they ALWAYS scan behind them to make sure its clear and if not they give them a tap on the shoulder or a budge to get them from behind this keeper should have checked... you dont just get in your car and drive or youll probably crash you xhexk your surroundings otherwise if you crash its your fault not theirs so be aware of your surrounding to prevent thus happening... my opinion?... complete cheek and completely legal and should stand
