Great colour, great car, great video - great that your enjoyment and enthusiasm were rewarded. McLaren spiders are the best. I owned a 650s spider in VY and drove in and with a 720s. It won't be long before such fun is banned and we're all forced into EVs. Enjoy it while you can. With clubs and after market main dealer alternatives McLarens are disproving some of the early bad press and proving the best value supercar of all for those who do their research properly.
Re. your remark that anyone can get out of a Porsche Boxster and into a 720S and drive off ( if they have the funds, of course ). Anyone with sufficient funds can dump his/her 10-year-old Ford Focus and get into a 720S and drive off with impunity and the devil takes the hindmost. I'm a firm believer in an extra-grade licence required to drive a supercar. You can't quit your job as a white van driver one day and start driving a 40-ton artic lorry next without the appropriate licence. I know supercar companies will kick and scream blue murder in opposition to a special supercar licence, but they only have themselves to blame. Apart from Porsche ( as far as I'm aware ), no other manufacturer offers training when selling one of their supercars. A work colleague, when taking delivery of his Ferrari F12 was given the advice to " use the revs " and that was the extent of training he got.
