Iv always had a fondness for this bike … iv got the it’s big bother the vtr1000 but I’d be just as happy with one on these they sound lovely and are absolutely beautiful to ride 99 percent of the time regardless of riding conditions
Hi Elder, we started with 97bhp before we carried out all the works. The biggest gains where not at the top end however but in the mid range, just coming on throttle. Through out the mid range we gained 8ft/lbs of torque translating to much more grunt out of the corner. Thanks for the interest, Kind regards P3Tuning
I know its a vfr800 but what model did you buy from dynojet to get the correct quick shifter, as they don't sell a vfr800 gen5(i couldn't see one). Is it pull or push type?
@@trantas4 With the greatest respect (honestly) I have one. Look at the indicators and headlight - it's a gear-driven-cam RC46, and it's one of the most glorious engines ever made 😁
@@PartialS You are absolutely right my friend! I thought that the only difference between 5th and 6th generation was the chain-driven cams but i was wrong. Thank you for your politeness. I am looking to buy a 6th gen in the near future. Really love the bike!
Lmao I don’t think those are safety toe hiking shoes. Definitely a quick shifter being used on them upshifts (it’s in the title). Thanks for the laugh though 👍
Same dyno guy, same bike with no Q/S...check out wrist, clutch, foot coordination...how it should be done up or down the box, even clutchless downshifts👍 ua-cam.com/video/k8yB4Ev3OYY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Love it! I have a 2001 VFR, last of the gear-drives! That sounds awesome!!

This makes me happy to own a gen5
Coolant looks a bit low
Was gonna say
That quick shifter is awesome
I don't know who you are, I don't know where you're from, but I will find you, and you will teach me to shift like that...
it has a quickshifter
Only one-way though. Downshifts are manual, and superb!
@@Nordspets exactly, the throttle blip to match revs on the downshift is the art here. Especially hammering 2 or 3 gears down so rapidly.
@@livinthedream92109 indeed, takes a lot of practice to get those perfect rev-matches!
He does it so quick and still natural, like its nothing to it. Beautiful!
Love them double taps...
Hi! Did you have some problems with DJ QuickShifter for PC3? I mean bad shifts, false neutrals and so on? Or everything is super smooth?
No issues at all super smooth!
Horses power ?
Imagine the carnage if ever something locked up on these tests
Relax, its a VFR - immensely strong and reliable, mine is now 24 years old and sounds like the day it was born 😉
This thing sounds sweet
gear driven cam V4 = heaven
I got 2010 honda vfr800,is it possible to change gear at high rpm without pulling the clutch lever

Gen-5 it’s the ducks guts!
How much power it gains!?

What gear lever are you using?
What is that glitch in the tune at 1:32?
Vtec?
Trantas It’s fifth gen: no VTEC.
@@PartialS im pretty sure it's the pre 03 model with VTEC

How much to sort my vfr vtec 2005 model
For us to supply and fit the Power commander and then custom map the bike on our dyno it will be around the £600 mark, any questions just fire away !
I’ve just had full Delchevick system installed &have a K & N air filter , do I need to by power commsnder5 ?
If you have them modifications and you want the bike running correctly then yes a power commander will be needed, thanks!
Is the map available for download? Would be very nice if you could send it or make it available. Thx
