- I restored my old favorite lure and took it out to see if it still works. This was one of the best days I’ve ever had down here. Thank you to Spike-It for making the kit.

Roland, I love the way you reach out to the low end fisherman like me. I kayak fish with a 5 pole rack behind the seat, all rigged different. It works great, but I want a bigger boat for fishing and trapping food, a Jon Boat would be great.

Mr. Martin , sir you truly are the real deal. I've read your book 101 secrets and I can't begin to tell you how many times I saw jaws drop when I showed photos of the size and quality of bass that I caught following the tips you shared. I even ordered some of those old time lures , worked them like you suggested and was rarely disappointed and stunned that the strikes were always about the distance from shore that you experienced. Thank you again sir , you took my bass fishing to a level I never imagined possible.
I think I counted 4 lost fish on the restored top water. They didn't look like cichlids, they were too long, they were bass. I'd change the treble hooks, longer shank, larger sizer, bigger split ring, finer wire - SOMETHING! After watching that I think I'd do better without treble hooks, maybe dig around in the tackle box and stick some 2/0 or 3/0 hooks on there.

Roland I have watching you for years and I am talking about from the 70s I remember you taking Scott out in a Bass tracker around the Clewiston Scott was about 12 years old he did not even show any interest in fishing at that time you and your Wife should be very proud of his career and his fine family, Roland keep on making videos and catching those monster fish !! Thank you for all you and your family have done for the sport of fishing.

Roland represents everything I love about bass fishing
They didn't use split rings in the old days but you can get better hook ups with and split ring on each hook, it you don't already have them. Some people just have a bad attitude putting thumbs down on your videos. I think they are great. They might just be a competitor.

The Devil's Horse was my Dad's favorite lure. You fish it just the way my Dad used to.
I'm glad Mr Martin practices catch and release . If it weren't for that , none us could ever catch a bass. These pros have caught them all and are kind enough to let us catch them by putting them back. Lol 😀🎣
Having flash backs to my youth watching the Saturday/Sunday morning fishing shows and then running off to try what I saw. My buddies dad had a nursery with a five acre irrigation pond and we used to tear them up with a Johnson Silver Minnow and a moccasin colored fire tail worm.

I think there's a confusion because I've not had any health issues other than the last few years I've used a longer handle rod to help me set the hook better. I'm not as strong as I was 30 years ago!
