After finding the right tools such as the right paper brand (Fabriano Academia for drawing 200gsm find in paperpack most of time with A4 format for printings (in Europe and America) like the usual cartridge paper which is mostly used in India, but the most important thing to not forget is the tutorials seem very easy to achieve just like magical with the accelerate video technique, but like it is said during the working process with the red apple and others tutorials, Mr Roy took over 9 hours of hard working to master it realistically! So, the master-key for any hyper-realistic painting is taken lot of times with minutiae always whatever the médiums you are using for working on details back and forth constantly during the process, in order to make look real by mastering the reflection and the shadow techniques! It will be probably my last intervention that I will do from now! So, I would like to thank very much this very talented guy to let me expressed some tips by experiencing his techniques quite often up to now his tutorials and I would like to wish you luck to everybody by redoing these projects until the search of achievement! We can never become an artist in one day without never stopping practices over and over, until we find the exact artist feeling touching under our fingers by being very familiar with the medium we are using! Thanks ☺️...try out this technique, and there is another thing, other soft oil pastel like gallery oil pastel might not need heating..but the texture will be bit different I guess, so you can experiment as well..😁
Every colour is heated before application..and for water droplets use the normal red oil pastel to create circles, and then you can use white pen to create reflections..I hope that helps☺️
Definitely...I'll help you out...it's actually all related to light and shadow only..I'll make a tutorial on it..till then you check out the lips painting tutorial...then I have covered some skin tones as well
Wow soo beautiful really hart touching and not even the drawing but the you teach about it makes it much easy to draw. Background music is also amazing....Thank u
This is definitely the best oil pastel art work I've ever watch on UA-cam. I learned some new techniques as well watching this video. Thank you for sharing your talent and so brilliantly done. ❤️
@@BuntyARTTutorialsDefinitely will do watch more of your videos. I've watched the black dog artwork and that too was brilliant! I'll use some of your techniques on my art work from now on. Thank you for replying. ❤️
That's great my friend...there are few things which you must keep in mind. My technique could be used between 120-340gsm paper. With increasing gsm the layering will change a little...make sure you colour is soft in nature atleast moderately soft ..rub any colour over our thumb if it leaves a thick layer that means it's soft. If your oil pastel are hard some how...then they will harden quicker and the flow will not work. It's the softness of oil pastel that allows me to create layers and vary the pressure accordingly. Too much pressure can destroy the bottom layer, so make sure that doesn't happen...good luck...and do share your artwork...and feel free to text whenever you face any problem with drawings.... another thing u keep 3-4 payers below my drawing sheet... smooth and soft surface gives smoother finish...i Drawing board is covered with paper....
@@BuntyARTTutorials Thank you sooo much for the teaching. I used mix media in my artwork but all based with watercolour on 1st layer or sometimes 2nd layer. Then either I'll use acrylic, waterbased pencil colour, oil pastel, pastel or charcoal. I always used 350gm or higher gm for all my artwork and I only used 100% cotton paper for watercolour. Thank you again for making time replying and teaching too. I really appreciate it. Can you see some of my artwork on my channel and give your opinion? It's not that great but I always welcome any critism to better my artwork especially from someone as Gifted as you. ❤️
Thanks a ton...this means a lot🤗. I used Dom's Oil Pastel, cartridge paper, white pen of uni-ball and A candle for heating...I bought these from a local art..these are very commonly available and can be bought online as well...
Today i Came across this channel ,really it is very helpful tutorial....sir, can u pls make tutorial on hyper realistic apple n pomegranate tutorial in watercolor so it will be great...thank you....
I used Dom's Oil Pastel and uniball..white pen...you can use any soft oil pastel for this drawing...Dom's is moderately soft so I used heating technique...with soft oil pastel like gallery and all you might not even need the heating technique
Just wow, made me subscribe just after 5 sec in the video. Btw, are you using simple oil pastel or soft oil pastel. I'm novice to pastel and cannot get that uniform colour distribution.
I am using Doms Oil Pastel..which is moderately soft..that's why I heat it to make it softer..helps in distribution as well as layering. Highly soft oil pastel might not even need heating but they are expensive. Thats why I use Doms Oil Pastel
@@BuntyARTTutorials incredibly coincidentally i bought the same pastels, i need to work on filling up the surface. Do you prefer using oil pastels on canvas or paper?
Welcome..and do ask for help if you get stuck at any point..just text me in insta fb or reddit and I'll help you out..best of luck..and since you are a Beginner I have another advice for you..when you place your drawing page on any surface make sure the surface underneath is soft and smooth..for example..you place some paper on a table and then place your drawing paper over it. What it will do is it will give you an advantage. Even if you use too much pressure, since the surface underneath is soft and smooth you will get a smooth finish on the paper..
Hii....I love your drawings very much.💯👍🏻If you don't mind can you give me some tips for oil pastels. Does it work on all papers? Can we use normal papers?
Thanks a lot my friend ☺️....and I'll definitely give you some tips...ok first oil pastel...oil pastel has oils and pigment that makes it oil pastel and it's waxy. So it has all the properties of wax as well as paint. Wax melts or becomes soft when heated similarly oil pastel becomes soft when heated. That's why i use this technique for heating. Softer the oil pastel the better will be the layering. Now paper...suppose you take a thin paper and try to draw over it... remember you will have to move your hands rigorously while drawing with oil pastel, so the thin paper might not be able to hold that...so paper should be thick enough to handle the pressure. Plus it has to be chosen on the basic of the surface of the object you are drawing..if you are going to draw hyper Realistic object then less gsm paper is better, but for drawing things with rough texture or landscape, rough paper is ideal. These roughness could be increased or decreased by coating..the paper with water colour or acrylic white colour...check out my latest tutorial on hyper Realistic Landscape, you will understand more there...
I don't think so..cz they are sofer than doms Oil Pastel..but the technique for droplets might change cz the layering level will be different..do one thing.. while making the droplets..draw the outline with extra dark pencil add little shadow using black oil pastel..blend and create the gradient..then inside the droplets scratch some of the paint to hive more realistic effect if necessary, then just put a small dot for the reflection..try it and let me know..
Have confidence in yourself and give it try without any doubt. Whatever happens, send me the art in insta fb wherever possible and I'll help you out, just don't worry and give it a try 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Brand wise it's hard to say but quality wise I would say a soft pastel that is soft in nature is best..then all you have to learn is how to handle the softness by varying the pressure...
Sure...no problem...but there is one condition...you have to be careful with the handling..cz the tip of a correction pen will be thicker than a white gel pen so you will have to control the pressure...if you can do that, there won't be any problem...
Ok, think like this oil pastel is like wax..and wax becomes soft when you heat it. If you try to create a layer of oil pastel over another layer they they don't mix or blend completely and if high pressure is applied then it will destroy the layer. However heating makes the oil pastel soft and allows you to create multiple layers.. without any problem..I hope the technique is clear now...In addition to this there is one little catch. Oil pastel could be sometimes hard in nature or soft in nature..heating soft oil pastel makes it even softer for multiple layering. However hard oil pastel won't have the flow even after heating.
Definitely I'll try to do that... recently i am using gallery oil pastel..so Tutorial might vary a little cz where Doms is medium soft gallery is very soft...
That's the best oil pastel apple I've seen on UA-cam. Also, I learnt a lot. Thanks.
Thanks a lot☺️ ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Awesome. Please tell me what the reason is for heating up the pastels.
I highly recommend you check out the oil pastel heating technique in details..in my sunflower video. The link is in the description.
