Amazing! I guessed the musicianship would be first rate but I wasn’t expecting such a top-notch voice. Really great. I just received my Farmer Foot pedal kit a few weeks ago, Spring 2020-a welcome Covid-isolation delivery. I am impressed and a bit intimidated by your melodic AND percussive mastery. Bravo! from Minnesota.
Sorry if this comment gets a little long, but anyways: I've been considering doing something like this (foot drumming) while playing piano. Doesn't have to be done with Farmer foot drums specifically, but really any kind of foot percussion will do. It could even be done with some kind of MIDI pedalboard. But I like the idea of doing this with a full set of drums, as opposed to using only a bass drum and hi-hat and that's it. I've seen some "foot drummers" do it that way and it's just lame sounding to me. You need a full kit if you really want some awesome drum parts that slam hard. Check out a musician called Cam Cole. He's a great example of what's possible with drumming entirely using foot pedals; his drum parts really hit hard. And because his hands are totally unoccupied, he can freely play guitar with all the normal techniques and finger motions and so on. I've seen some folks who manage to strum a guitar with like one or two fingers while holding and moving a single drumstick with the rest of the fingers in order to hit the drums, but I'd think that would be a bit more awkward... you'd have to make some alterations to your guitar-playing technique such that what you can do on the guitar would have to be a bit restricted, because you're also trying to use your available fingers to hold a drumstick. But with something like the Farmer Foot Drums, the pedals basically hold and move the drumsticks for you, therefore allowing said drumsticks to hit the drums when you step on said pedals. All of this can also apply to pianos. if you want to play the piano in its full range, with all your fingers and all the bass notes and high notes like with normal piano playing, while still playing drums at the same time, it's gonna be so much easier to just use your feet for the drumming while all the fingers on both hands are dedicated to the piano. It means you really don't have to sacrifice much with the piano playing.
Fantastic performance my man! So, I play bass with my right foot (like I do when I play the kit) and hi-hat/tambourine/snare with my left. Can the pedals be switched around? Or do y’all build to suit? Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the nice comment. In fact the normal configuration is right foot bass. They flipped it for me. They are super easy to work with. After I ordered, they contacted me to make double sure that I wanted left foot bass. Just for your info, these things are built great. Stomped on mine at least 3-4 times a week (3 hour shows) until the shutdown happened.
Hey JW sorry just seeing this. That is a Dobrato from Castle Creek Guitars in Colorado www.castlecreekguitars.com/ Here's a review I did right after I got in ua-cam.com/video/jgl9VnOlI6M/v-deo.html
My Goodness Doc how ya doing. Thanks for the encouragement. I trust you are still making music. One of my favorite memories when I was a kid was when you set in with us for a bit on the street stage at Neowallah. I think I was 16 or so.
@@bigjimadam Hey Bud! Yeah, I'm still "doin' it", but on a mellow side with my wife the singer. She does everything from opera (yech) to jazz and blues. We do a loungey thing of jazzy standard and blues. I'm still lugging around my Hammond B3...wifey won't let me quit! Did the area blues fests and bars/clubs with my 5-piece blues band until I had an ugly shoulder injury a few years back, but gettin' back on the horse (Hammond) was part of my physical therapy. Guess the doctor and my wife were right! I'm enjoying your work. Keep it up!
Wow just fricken wow loved it!!!

hello, lol actually Cam Cole beats the drums, but it's his style I prefer the softer touches.
@@DougDimbarre that's a fair point. I like both styles. each one works for different musical context.
Hey Big Jim Adam, curious if you got the 6/9/ or 12 pedal kit, and if the 6 is it enough to get the sound you want? Thank you
Awesome!!!!!!
Cool...
Wonderful
