Listening to these stories makes me sad bc I don’t wanna die ordinary. All these beautiful stories of the sahaba and I’m just living my day to day life doing nothing. Ugh I want to do something great and be with the ranks of the great. May Allah allow use us to benefit the ummah as they did and grant us their ranks. May Allah reward you abundantly for putting the series together for us.

@@guledismail6459 because how can someone who isn't sure of a thing themself able to determine whose opinion is correct and not when they don't know? it's like they want you to blindly follow whatever majority opinion is.
@@jvfresh3053 I understand your point but if you follow a lot of lectures or read books on Serah you will find that no one claims a correct opinion unless there's a majority agreement by strong evidence. and Sheikh Omar almost never makes a statement about which opinion is correct except in very few occasions when he is quite sure

You introduce your above lecture with mention of genocide of Muslims in India.
Brother, since 1948, Pakistan has been committing genocide in Balochistan. Balochistan gained its independence on 11 August 1947. On 27 March 1948, with British blessing, as we refused to be a protected state under British rule, Pakistan attacked and occupied Balochistan.
The situation in Balochistan has become dire since 2002, and the situation is comparable to the situation in Bangladesh 1971. Abduction, kill, and dump policy include infants, children, and women. Pakistan has and is using chemical, biological radiation, army, airforce, navy, and death squads as tools of ethnic cleansing.
The only fault of Baloch is that they are living on a land blessed with minerals, gold, iron copper, and oil & gas.
Genocide is genocide it does not matter who committs it!
There is another narration about martyrdom of al barra' r.a that they were martyred after breaching the gates and after seeing victory in that battle and that narration is believed and advocated more by narrators

I remember I read somewhere that he gave a speech at yamamah saying “there is no going back to Medina” that is probably why Umar gave the decree not to put him in a commanding position as he is too brave

Assalam Alaikum. I have heard your series of the firsts 2 times and gained much knowledge about the sahabas. Thanks for sharing this knowledge. Only 2 confusions, when you talked about zaid ibn Haritha you said Hamza ra was paired with him in Madina and again when you talked about Asad ibn Zurara ra you said he was paired with Hamza ra and Talha ra. Second when you talked about Musab ra you said every prophet was given 7 disciples but prophet saw was given 14 and you did not mention Usman ra's name, was he not a disciple of prophet saw, please clear my confusion.
