23:11 dua O Allah grant me praise and grant me glory- there is no glory without action and there is no action without wealth. O Allah, a little will not rectify me, nor will I be good for it. Seriously the stories of the sahabah revive my aspirations to be like them even though I will always fall short, we are in debt Allah SWT, to Prophet Muhammad saw and sahabah and our scholars for teaching us the Deen that give soo much tranquility in my soul. May Allah SWT our hearts with love with people of knowledge with all their sacrifices, follow in their footsteps with humility, join them one day in the hereafter ameen.

They tortured him in the most brutalal ways. -During one of the days of his torture, the Meccans dehydrated, starved and chained him. Then a good looking man came in. On seeing him Sa'ad said, "If there is any good in the people of Makkah, it's going to be in him." But he raised his hand and smacked him as hard as no one else did. -Abu Al Bukhari came to Sa'ad and said to call someone with whom he had a partnership in Makkah to free him out. Then Meccans freed him because of his relationship with Jubair Ibn Mut'im Ibn 'Adi and Harith Ibn Harb. -Sa'ad was paired off with Miqdad and Khabab in Madinah for three years. -He, Abu Dujana and Munzir Ibn Amr were the ones who broke the idols that remained in Al-Madinah. -During the days of Khandak, it was Saad's reserve of dates that nourished the people for weeks after the food supply ran out. -The Prophet ﷺ used to receive several buffets from Sa'ad everyday at the his home. -When the mother of Harun Al Rashid heard the hadeeth when Sa'ad brought 40 delicacies to the Prophet ﷺ from 40 different animals and asked him to have what he ﷺ wanted, she called for the descendants of Sa'ad and gave them a huge share of her wealth. -One day, the Prophet ﷺ went to the house of Sa'ad, said Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah, raised his hand and prayed "O Allah! Send your prayers and mercy on Sa'ad and his family." -When the Prophet's grandchild (Zainab's son) was dying, he went to see him with Sa'ad and Muadh Ibn Jabl and when he held him he started to cry. Sa'ad asked, "What's this?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "This is the mercy that Allah has put in the hearts of his servants and Allah has mercy on those who show mercy." -The banner of the Ansars would be carried by Sa'ad Ibn Ubadah because Asad and Sa'ad Ibn Muadh both the leaders of Ansars have passed away. -When Muslims were coming forth for Makkah on the day of conquest, Sa'ad Ibn Ubadah carrying the banner shouted "Today is the day of revenge." Abu Sufyan complaint to the Prophet ﷺ and our Messenger ﷺ said "Sa'ad made a mistake." and he took the banner from him and gave it to Ali without humiliating him. -Sa'ad was the one who came to the Prophet ﷺ, informed him about the Ansars' thoughts, on him ﷺ distributing the spoils of war to the late converts of Makkah and gathered the people in the camp where the famous conservation took place between the Ansars and the Prophet ﷺ. -Sa'ad got sick. So, the Prophet ﷺ visited him with some other companions and saw that he was between consciousness and unconsciousness. On seeing his state, tears started falling from his ﷺ eyes unceasingly. -Soon, the Prophet ﷺ would suffer from sickness as well and this will lead him to die. -Allah SWT decreed that Sa'ad would recover and our Messenger ﷺ would not. -After the Prophet's ﷺ death, the Ansaars were just about to appoint Sa'ad as their Caliph but Abu Bakr, Umar and Ubayd Ibn Jarrah solved the issue in a proper manner. -His son Qais became a famous general. -Sa'ad lived in Ash-Sham and passed away there. -All of the ahadeeth of Sa'ad Ibn Ubadah is about his mother. Sa'ad loved his mom a lot. She died while he was on an expedition with the Prophet ﷺ. When he got the news, he was hurt. He went to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him to pray janazah on her mother on their return. -Her mother wanted to give all of her wealth to Sa'ad as he would spend that in Allah's cause out of his generosity. -After her mother's death, he would spend a lot of money in charity and would complete his mother's oath which wasn't fulfilled yet.
