Hi Pat! I've never tried these before but I'm going to have to try them. They look and sound delicious! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great night, my friend! :-) Colleen
+MsCavalier01 Oh MsC these were right on the mark. I combined several ideas to make my own recipe and was well pleased with the way they came out. The majority of recipes called for frying at 350°f for 2 mins. Maybe because my pickles were thicker took long but at 2 mins, the batter had just started to turn a darker color. Mine cooked for 5 the 6 mins. Give them a try. I think you'll really enjoy them. Your Good Friend, Pat
lol @ your seasonings not wanting to pour out. thanks for this ive been craving fried pickles and i dont feel like buying from a restaurant.. im making my own!
I boiled the cucumbers in a bag with all seasonings skinned them dice into large quarters mix the batter like a hush-pop over the sauce is mustard-honey .tartare sauce is good as well
I like your video better than the others because we are thinking the same. Most people are coating with flour 1st then wet drudging then back to flour. Too much flour for me. I'm going to use Mustard and not egg drudge then coat 1 time then fry to see what happens. Thanks for being you and doing it your way yours look way better than the 1st 10 videos I viewed and is more simple.
shayna darby me too. If they don't turn out well, it will make me appear to be a fraud... ugh. The pressure. Lol. Let me know how they turn out for you, good or bad. ;-)
We've tried fried pickles a few times at home -SANS recipe- 🤨 didn't come out as desired so thought I'd hunt... THIS is the one I'll try next! thank you so much...I'll comment after trying.
me too!!! :-D. I can be such a nerd you have no idea. glad there are others out here the can relate! my next video is on fried grits BTW. you might like it. I'm working on it this very moment! :-)
+endrit shigjeci Ranch dipping sauce. It's just ranch salad dressing. you can use any dipping sauce you would like. honey mustard would go great with these! ;-)
i love fried pickles and I dip mine in Thousand Island dressing yummo, never tried dipping in ranch. last time i made homemade friend pickles some of the breading came off.
On a canvassing trip, my group went to a pizza place for lunch (Pizza Hut or Tony's, I think) and they had deep fried pickles on the menu. I they all wanted to order a basket along with our pizza. I thought they would be disgusting. They made me try it and they were very good. If we had more time for lunch I would have ordered a second basket for myself.
I'm so happy someone else loves fried pickles I love pickles period love your videos they are so simple to follow yum yum just wanted to know where did you find that breading basket I need one in my life.
Great question and great comment Val!!! ;). Yes I love pickles!!! They always satisfy me when I'm looking in the fridge for something to eat but don't want to eat to much. They're similar to a CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreen's, etc etc. Try those places. It that doesn't work, search for "Original Breader Bowl and Onion Blossom Maker online. If I remember correctly, I paid around $9 for it and it was worth every penny. it's great for breading chicken, fish, pork chops, EVERYTHING!!!! LOL Thanks for watching!!! I'm always here is you need me. At Your Service, Patrick B.

the pickles were great I'd like some I tried your recipe but you know I tried it at 400 degrees in the oven only took me 3 minutes so you know next time you know so I hope you look at this sometime thank you bye and oh yeah the guy that said what time that's awesome that that's what it is
check out your local dollar discount store, kitchen section. i think i have a video for the breader bowl under my product review playlist. check it out. great for anything that needs to be breaded. great with flour, corn meal, bread crumbs, etc... patbartonsfood.com
Not to be a hater or anything but you REALLY need to work on your frying skills... good that you let the oil reach 300° and over... but you know why your oil was all fucked after the first batch.... look at 5:30 and how much excess flour is floating around the pickles... you need to make sure that you try and remove all excess flour from anything you coat by placing it in a strainer or something and giving it a good shake. That's also why they took a longer time to reach that golden color. I recommend you to read up on frying, there needs a lot of improvement there. I won't be subscribing to your channel or taking your cooking seriously. All the best x
Thank you for this recipe! So tasty and left this pregnant mama happy!!
i hope it left the little bundle of internal joy happy as well. ;)
congrats on the new arrival. :)
“I’m glad you found me somehow” just wanted some fried pickles my friend
Glad i found you too Gabrielle! LoL. 😊
Man those deep fried pickles are a winner...Look at the golden crust on those babies. I would eat the whole basket full all by myself.
I wish you could have been here to save me from eating the whole basket. LoL. Thanks Ray!
Always,
pat
Try adding cornstarch, it really increases the crunch of the outside layer, YUM
For those wondering what bowl he used to coat the pickles, it is called the Breader Bowl by Cook's Choice.
THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Yes on the logos And I'll have a surprise from Preppy Down South in 2 weeks. ;-)

pat
She is good.
+Andrea Wanting I think so too!
this guy sounds like ricky from trailer park boys
lifelonghalo yes omggggggg
survival of the fitness Bubbs
They look great, but I think it took longer because your pickles are cut thick. Fried pickles are best cut super thin.
Great idea!! ☺
As Patrick stated in the video that's a preference thing I will actually try mine in relatively thin spears
I ate down at a place in Texas where they fried the hole picked it was really good
They are best cut thin.
Either going to use a flax seed egg or buttermilk. I am allergic to eggs.
Patrick thank u and it taste the best lol but thank u (x3) ur the best
omg so funny, I going to try this.
:-). I'm funny??? LoL... The "GREAT EYE" right? ;-). Glad someone appreciated that bit of comedic genius enough to comment on it!!! :-D. Thank you so much!!!
Try these, I think you'll really enjoy them. they make a great appetizer or snack while watching a sporting event.
I'm at your service,
Patrick. :-)
Will olive oil work? I'm guessing probably not..
I think it should work as long as its the heavier olive oil used for frying.
Let me know how it turns out ok? Thanks for the great question! 😊
Question, this is my favorite recipe but when the pickles go in they come out and the layer just falls off. Help please!
Dip them in an egg wash, then the flour.
Patrick Barton thank you for the quick response! Yes I follow exactly what you do. Hmmm maybe I'll try wiping the pickles off first then eggwash
CantHandleGaming I'm sorry. Try dipping the pickles in flour first, then the egg wash, then back in the flour. It's been so long since I watched the video. Let me know if you find the best way ok? :-)
Skip to 2:09 if you want to actually here a recipe.
Can I smoke a bowl while shaking my pickles in a flower bowl? Haaaaaaaaaaa
the pickles were great I'd like some I tried your recipe but you know I tried it at 400 degrees in the oven only took me 3 minutes so you know next time you know so I hope you look at this sometime thank you bye and oh yeah the guy that said what time that's awesome that that's what it is

What’s the sauce
It's just ranch dressing...
Hmmm
the reason it took you longer it's because your pickles were not normal size..
They look so good then with that cian to spice it up mm hum
Mine didn't turn out rgt lol
Oh no!!!! Im so sorry.
Don't give up.
I've made fried pickles with just egg wash and flour and it tasted like crap
i know. ive done that too.
scarlett Try it with buttermilk wash. Also seasoned your flour. I'm not fond of eggs so I used the buttermilk to coat anything I fried.
your recipe is ok, and i love your peronsanlity, but holy crap get a tripod man. also less breading would be ideal.
LoL. thank you. I use my smartphone to video.
Less talk more cooking ty
Just cut off my toe good recipe tastes grate
