this is what is good about Six Feet Under. They can always amaze you by powerful and super-original episodes. Rare quality on TV. Show is just a masterpiece, so creative and original ...
That was in episode 2, where she was asked if she was anorexic for not being hungry prior to the reading of Nathaniel Fisher's final will. I loved the sense of continuity on this show. Even into the final episode there were plenty of references to the first season of this show, such as Ruth and Brenda commenting that Willa was a gassy baby like Nate, and Ruth obliquely recounting her horrifying experience of walking in on Nate as he is going down on Brenda.
I started watching this show on Bravo... I miss good things when they're new. This show is so twisted and hilarious and sad at the same time. Love it to death.
These few song moments in the first season or two were so good and I don’t know why they weren’t done more. It gave the show levity and Lauren can truly sing!
How well I remember the jolt of pleasure that surged through me when I first saw Claire and Co. burst into this song lo these many years. Many thanks for posting.
The song is "What a little moonlight can do", which was originally by Billy Holiday. However, there are lots of great versions of the song (iTunes has a bunch)...I really like Veronica Martell's also. :)
"Are you bulimic? Is that what we're going to have to deal with now?"
Hahaha. Love this show so much.
That line was great!
god the line was hilarious but it gives me anxiety because my mom asked me that all the time
😂😂
Its realistic parenting. gotta love it. it can't all be Modern Family
@@Circa1628 it’s been awhile since I only watched the first couple seasons but the parents on modern family were not great hahaha
"mom, apparently you want a child with an eating disorder" AHAHA priceless!
And omg. Just lookit the expression on David's face as he's dancing. xDDD

Most of the cast has their roots in theater--thus explaining why they're above-average actors. Especially Frances Conroy.
Best show ever and those three were probably the characters that I loved the best. The mother is just hilarious with her "bulimic" comment.
what a voice! - would love to hear her do the whole song

+jstephenj it was episode 3. The reading of Nathaniel (senior) will was episode 2
david is adorable in this
LMFAO at David!!
GOD, I MISS THIS SHOW!
Is that her really singing? If so, she's great!
Yes, she's a trained singer. Most of the people who got cast for this show were trained theater actors. :)
She’s an opera singer! Just search UA-cam, there are tons of videos. She’s incredible
She was even nominated for a Tony Award in the Best Actress in a musical category.
David is having so much fun there
Not only she sings great, but i also love the 2 dancing behind =)
+Cutie Shiny Claire's brother David and their mum Ruth

I love this song, it's so full of life, Claire's a wildchild, just like me!
yes it's her! as it is for michael c. hall singing in some other scenes.

The best show
David is so funny. You can tell Michael C. Hall has some theater training from his dancing. Hilarious.
earlier this morning i started singing this when my mom asked why so happy (just got laid), and thats when i found out she was fan of the show.
Well when the first episode aired and the their dad passed away I got the biggest hook on the show from everyone. I love them all.
@Rixera
Lauren Ambrose is singing! She studied voice for years.
This is... so fucking accurate asdfghjkl
haha! This scene reminded me of her in Psycho Beach Party -- she's awesome! Thanks for posting this.
I now see Dexter as a dancing/singing car salesman. Thanks a lot Six Feet Under and Dodge...
i love LOVE this scene
Goddamn I miss Six Feet Under. I hope Lauren Ambrose reappears on tv or in film, such a great actress.
i love the random ~musical interludes~ on SFU, haha!
I love this!
Ruth is hilariously depressing
The song is "What a little moonlight can do", which was originally by Billy Holiday. However, there are lots of great versions of the song (iTunes has a bunch)...I really like Veronica Martell's also. :)
That movie was great! Glad there are other people out there that saw her talent in it.
best show ever. :)

LMAO I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER THIS!!!!
Hey, if u get a chance check out netflix and u can rent the whole series.
what musical is this from?
Oh yes
Yeah, but it could have overstayed its welcome like alot of other shows that don't have the good sense to leave when they're on top.
Hey, plenty of good shows don't even last part 1 season these days. We should be grateful to HBO...
OMG!!! SO F**KIN' RANDOM!!!
is that her singing xD?
Lol, kinda true
Dexter
Now just imagine he's playing as Dexter right now doing this.
sfu is over, but dexter isn't! :D
