Well I went the full bang and bought a red lipstick years ago. Never wore red, always a nude pink. But I bought Rimmel Kate Moss red lipstick and have never looked back, I wear all sorts of shades now.
It’s a total game changer.

How absolutely stunning Rosie looks in the final red! Very chic yet approachable is the vibe it gives off. I have to admit to being quite scared of reds myself but I now realize I was going wrong by putting too much on my face. I always thought if im going with red I need to have lots of base etc etc to balance it out but instead I realize it was just a sodding mess! I adore Lisa Eldridge's lipsticks and have almost all of them. They are matte but not drying and wow do they ever last a long time without settling into my fine lines!

I took your advice about the rest of the makeup, and wore it last night to our office holiday party. Best red lipstick tutorial. I hade stopped using red becouse I think my lips looks thinner but I surely will try again now. I love bold lipcolours.
You might want to try a sheer red. I've heard Cherry Chapstick gives a red look.

Red lip is almost my signature look, I love it, I'm very pale and it brings the color I lack back to my face. The curious thing is that even wearing a red lip (and I go from the orange corally red to the brownish red, though not violet), people tell me my make up is very natural, and when I don't wear it they ask me if I feel fine, I guess it suits me. Love, Sol

Great job Caroline! Rosie looks beautiful! I especially like the Armani and Lisa's Velvet Jazz. I have Velvet Jazz but it pulls pink on me as many red lipsticks do. The only red lip I can wear is MAC Viva Glam 1. The MAC website describes it as a blue red but it looks warm on me somehow. Its a bit vampy so I only wear it at night and wish to find a "day" red.
I only own one red 💄. I struggle too, but, Rosie, those reds on you 👌. I love the Armani one ❣️

I use to wear red ever day when I was younger. Now I love the fresh SUGAR in the city lip balm for every day cause it's soft and doesn't go in my lip lines. BUT I STILL ROCK A RED FOR HOLIDAY PARTIES🎉

Rosie looks stunning in all, particularly Lisa Eldridge. Just goes to show how useful it is to seek out advice of make up expert. I did the same thing as assumed I needed pillar box red, which looked too much, but a lovely Clarins lady found me just the right shade of red

Ok I pulled the trigger and bought the Lisa Eldridge lipstick, I have never felt comfortable wearing red lips, and this video has taught me I was going for the wrong hue of red. We shall see.. we shall see.
All i can say is Ahhhhh.. The difference an expert applying the product can make to the outcome...☺👌👌👌 i feel the Armani looked the best... since im no expert but love red my preferred way of making it work daily is to use it like a flush of colour n reapply as required!

Oooh you’ve given me hope about a red lip. The past few weeks I’ve been loitering around the make up displays looking at red lipsticks, trying them out on my hand and putting them back 🙄. It’s the fear of looking like the lovechild of Joan Crawford/Bette Davis in Whatever Happened To Baby Jane 😳. At 64 and with feathering around my lips, I think maybe it’s an accident waiting to happen in that it’ll migrate up to my nostrils and I don’t want to frighten my grandkids at Christmas. However, I think I may get my big girl pants on and head off to Boots and be brave and see if I can find the Holy Grail that is a red lip 😬
"The lovechild of Crawford and Davis in Baby Jane"..was epic..I am 68..and wear red all the time..BUT!! and with minimal eye..tightline and mascara with a cream flesh shadow..I am a New Yorker and was in the fashion biz..I learned a lot..but Caroline is genius..

I'm on the West coast of the US so it's morning on Saturday for me when you've uploaded, and right as Rosie says porn star-ish, I had taken a sip of my coffee... If you've never had iced coffee come through your nostrils, in reverse, I don't recommend, but it was a good laugh! Now for my questions; since it's the party season, how do we maintain these lips through the cups of nog, and champagne, the canapes, and cheek kisses? Especially with not-juvenile lips, I spend so much time filling in the cracks, only to lose it all with the first sip and nibble. (PS, I do have LE's Velvet Ribbon, and Jazz)
