Looks good! My seats mount to my custom bracket exactly the same, but I used the factory bench seat mounts with angle iron welded between them, then I mounted the seats to the angle iron
Does anybody know how to configure the new seats belt connector so that the seatbelt light on the dash doesnt come on i have a 2nd gen dodge i want to put new seats but i dont want the seatbelt light to come on since the old seats have the seatbelt inside the seat
I got 2001 dodge ram 1500 extended cab seats for my 1995 dodge ram 2500 but the seats can't get bolted in the front due to the seats in the front sitting higher and not reaching the floor bc of the bump in the floor Any suggestions ?
@@decentgarage Very nice Tim!! If anyone doubts what an angle grinder can do, watch Paul from OCC and watch what he did with an angle grinder. I myself have in day's gone by, built many things with one and I had a Miller years ago and Lincoln is just as good any day of the week. Keep the great video's coming Tim!!
@@franklogan494 i loved the days of OCC. O watched every episode and I don't think I realized he used the grinder that much but now that I think about it you're right.
@@decentgarage I used to watch it with my twin boy's when I raised them back in 2003 and onward. I used to build weight lifting equipment and a wood stove back in 1980's. I bought a used Makita angle grinder and it lasted 20 years until it quit, I payed $25.00 for it and it saved me thousand's of $.

Hello, I really enjoy and appreciate your efforts putting these videos together. You just put the brakes on me going forward putting new 96 seats in my 92 w-250. I of course want to see your solution in your up-coming video. Any idea when we might be graced with that? Also, please , what wall thickness of angle iron and square tube are you using? Thank you, Dave
It actually isn't a bad option for single cabs. The Durango seat backs are much thinner than second gen seat back so they would fit well in a single cab 👍
Please share any other tips and tricks you know for successful seat mounting in your truck, let's help each other out!
I was on a cummins forum and saw you on it, made me smile. Always watching your videos!
No way haha. I love cumminsforum

Yeah it's solid.
Another great video man, looking forward to the Prospector Bob video! Thanks for taking the time to do these videos...keep em coming!
Thanks Mark!
Hey man you better put those crocs in 4wd for that kind of work.
Great job on the bracket!
Haha those are my official work boots 😅
This is good to know. I have a 2003 F-250 with a bench seat and I am so short it is really difficult for me to drive and sit comfortably.
Love your videos, can't wait to own a crew cab first gen one day
Thanks! Just keep an eye out and keep learning. Once you score a crew cab you'll be able to make it your own.
I plan on doing with some angle iron or some square tubing cut in half to act as c channel to distribute weight better as well.
Wait till my next video and I'll show you a great way to make the stock mounted work. I'm making them much stronger too
you could have put a bracket at the bottom of the cab holding on by the bolts to reinforce the bracket from underneath extra support
I tied them in to the c-channels under the cab
Do you have any kind of brace on the underside of the floor or just self tapping bolts into sheet metal
That scenery is absolutely beautiful! Where are you at if I may ask?
This is in central utah. It's amazing here 🙂
What are the chances you have a design layout/ how to make the bracket
100% in another video. I build a better bracket to mount these same seats in prospector bob
Really good job 👍👌 👍
Thanks man!
Love the Mountains with Snow. Wyoming?
Thanks! It's Utah
some great ideas for a great truck!
Yeah it is a great upgrade for an older truck
Bro forget the trucks I’m just impressed about the background what state are you from
Haha Im in Utah. The view is amazing

I’m doing the same thing to my 1996
Great stuff!
Thanks man!

What are these seats out of?
Great Video!! What Welder are you using and are you using a Metal Band Saw or Chop Saw?
I just have a cheap lincoln 110 weld pack that I converted from flux to mig. I use my angle grinder for all the cutting. Not ideal but it works

I'm not sure the wall thinkness. I believe it's 12 gauge
Wish this setup would work in a single cab....

Hey Tim have you done any custom seats in the Single Cab?
I haven't. Single cabs are not quite as roomy obviously but I think these seat would work well. The seat backs are not as thick as second gen seats.
What year are the durango seats?
2000. I believe they are pretty much the same from 98-03
excellent video ... subscribed want to do the same in my 12 gen 12v
