I mean, that was a bit harsh...? Every group decreases in fame a little comparatively to other groups who are the most popular of that current year, but Suju or any other group are never going to hold that title every year ygm? Suju are the only group to still maintain their popularity and relevance for 15 years. Thats HUGE. They're consistently in the Top 20 if not TOP 10 rankings for boy group popularity, brand rankings, sales, fandom related things etc. Like thats MASSIVE. Compared with newer groups which seem to be what fans flock to nowadays, Suju are still STRONG and are STILL breaking records! Don't forget, they are the reason sub-units exist, *they* pioneered the Hallyu wave, they break concert records and have one of the strongest and most dedicated fanbases ever for such a long term group and all generations know who they are because they're just EVERYWHERE on Korean media that every single other fandom knows Suju because of their dominance on variety and of course everyone has heard of "Sorry Sorry".
To say they declined after that isn't true at all. Bonamana broke so many records and Mr Simple was a HUGE hit. It's their 15th anniversary and although I understand you tried to do research and we're grateful for the history you showed on them, you should talk to a fan of the group before making videos, its super helpful to really gauge an understanding on who you write about because Suju especially, are pretty huge (and that's also coming from Korean fans who have spoken on their relevance and true unbiased popularity in Korea as well). Unfortunately, as other current groups have a lot more traffic and an inflated fanbase, it makes sense why all the other fandoms apart from those particular 2/3 popular groups are pushed down amongst everything. Not to hate or begin discourse on it but its merely a fact. Regardless, Suju do just stunningly well as a group because they are so so ludicrously funny and chaotic; they'll keep being that strong no matter what. I know I chose the right group to stan because of it, they make me laugh and have saved my depression from spiralling hundreds of times. It's something comparatively as a multi stan (main suju) that Suju actually sincerely do best. Thanks and I hope your next video on Suju reflects this! They're a great group and mad popular still despite the unfortunate scandals and member departures, but hey no group is perfect after this many years, right! :)
Super Junior and TVXQ were my first Kpop groups. Still love them. I think Shinhwa is also a group who has been together for ages. (The split in TVXQ still breaks my heart.😪)
Barley any news? They releasing new music EVERY MONTH this year, all the members are at almost every variety show in Korea you literally can't avoid them, and they have new free videos on their UA-cam channels almost every day and they post daily on Instagram. You are just blind and doing fake news

And about barely news, check out their news on naver. Almost daily we can see suju or the members articles, they are trending in Twitter almost every week, etc.

Suju is one of the most successful and legendary groups by far. They had their ups and downs. They had their scandals their controversies etc. Yes they might have said some "bad" things and it's okay to hold them accountable and Stan them at the same time. The thing is that even though whatever happened they still are top tier idols admired by everyone and I think that whatever they did in the past is in the past. The more we live the more mistakes we make and learn as well.
Not "bad"stuff you're making it seem as if all the HORRID things they have done are " innocent " mistakes everyone does.

Super Junior is one of the most successful k-pop groups to ever to exist. They have been active as a group for 18 years which is not an easy thing to do. And they are doing great. It's only January of this year and the number of SJ contents we're getting is still large. It was announced that Kyuhyun, LSS, D and E and also Suju will be having concerts and going on tours.
They many so many fans and they are still very famous because they are not a group which can easily be forgotten just like that. After all Suju are the kings of hallyu wave.

I'm a multi stan and thank you for this video..But, Suju is so different that their popularity and impact can't be measured through numbers. Views from their MVs may not be as high as what other groups have these days but one of the factor I think is because most of the ELFs are busy with their works, family, and businesses that's why they can't stream too much...But their song is so beautiful...They have so many loyal fans too💙
This is what all 20s kids think... But all 90s kids know how famous suju was even when social media were not much popular like today. What people see today is only 3rd and 4th gen k pop groups and they think that they are ones who started it... But suju are the kings of hallyu wave and no one can deny that. Though some members are missing 9 members who are currently active do lot of projects even for today. They all have yt channels and so active on them specially Leeteuk, Ryeowook... They may not be able to be popular like on those days but as our Leeteuk said "it doesn't matter if we are not the number one as long as suju and elf are together"... So as elfs what we have to say is "once an elf forever an elf" (btw please do some research before doing something on social media platforms like this)

I think they are still popular. whenever I show their picture to my friends, they could immediately name some of the members and know which group they are from.
Super junior recently released an album "the road : winter for spring " tops n.o1 itunes in 20 countries, debut at #1 on hanteo weekly charts, with 438.2K streams and 25K unique listeners on Genie, 101,195 sales on the first week.... It's their 17th years of being together... If we don't call that successful idk what is ...
Cause even if you don't won trophies anymore or you don't always rank n.o1 anymore that doesn't mean you're not famous anymore.... Super Junior is still pretty famou.... If we're just focusing on views and all I'm sorry but most ELFs are married or have a decent job now... They don't have time for streaming... they're adults

They are in no way losing their popularity. They was the reason I got into kpop. Even though I am no longer into kpop any more they are the only group that I will still support. Alot of ELFs grew up with the boys and some of us have other responsibilities in life now. But We will always be ELFs and support them anyway we can. So please do more research next time

They just had a successul 2022-2023 world tour and finished the Super Show 9 Encore concert in Jamsil arena and Online for 2 days!!! ELFs are still on a high. I know I am.
Super Junior may be old, by showbiz standards, but they are gold.
ELFs are busy with their families, careers, and businesses. Not everyone can stream videos all day nor buy all merch because we have other priorities, , but believe me when I say that ELFs have unwavering support for SUPER JUNIOR whenever theres a comeback or album release. They are a special and talented idol group. Who wouldnt adore them?

Every day you will learn something new and what these men bring to the table. They are amazing actually. SM may have raised them, made them as their guinea pigs, in ways that many of us find unjust and unfair these days, but their mettle was tested and they came out brilliantly. This was, truthfully, a weird video. You use phrases implying the group being highly controversial, completely forgotten and super close to disbanding, and yet you continue to show us that despite being such an old group they still manage to be in the 10-20 best known/liked groups. This video gives the impression that you dislike the group or at the very least think they're old, unpopular and not worth looking into more (which you don't seem to have done) - that their only redeeming feature is that they are still active 15 years later with "a few" loyal fans. I could get more info from Wikipedia and it would definitely be more neutral. It would be better if you marked this video as an opinion (because it is highly misleading) and if you wish to create infomative videos in the future, then remember to research deeper and to stay neutral. Nothing went wrong, in fact, their relative longevity is amazing, despite the normal decrease that comes with age in the business, and despite their "scandals" (think of those what you may - at least they should be treated individually, not collectively!). As proof: Only a few weeks after this video SuJu won the 2020 Billboard poll for All Time Favorite Boy Group (with One Direction a close second). :)
I assume the explanation for this discrepant perception is, that the poll was global, not just for South Korea, where scandals play more of a role than elsewhere, nor only the USA, where BTS is currently the most popular, and the American press and countries closely related to the USA (eg Europe) still tend to believe that the USA are the pop-culture center of the world. But in absolute numbers, markets like various Asian countries, Latin America or Saudia Arabia play a huge role, and there SuJu is as popular as ever, or even increasingly so.
It is rumored if Covid hadn't hit, they would finally have toured the USA and Europe (they were only in London and Paris once before), which would probably have increased their popularity even further. Case in point: Their Super Show 7 won a US audience award for best live show in 2018 even though they hadn't even been in the USA!

I love these guys so much their music is so amazing and they are the absolute best ever in my opinion these guys are still at the top love them and everything they do it brings me so much joy and happiness so thankful for them.
I prefer the band and personalities of each SuJu member over BTS any day. These guys are so humble.

Y’all didn’t tell us about all the scandals. I would say you were blowing smoke, but you are not riding for them by saying they’re losing popularity when they are still one of the most popular K-pop groups of all time. I don’t know one K-pop fan who does not know who they are regardless of whether or not they are fans. Plus, they are still newsworthy. If any of them gets into any kind of nonsense, which you didn’t go into here (I wanted to know all of them in one place, but oh well), it’s going to be on the front page of K-pop media/news sources.

Nothing is wrong with them at all. They are still running strong as idols in 2023. I dont know how anyone can say they barely have news😂. But they are smart because they are able to keep up with the times and adapt unlike so many other idols. It means they will have longevity because they can do anything, both in front and behind the camera. Now with some members not renewing their contracts they are expanding even more.

Yes. If I'm not mistaken, I think Super Junior are the one who came up with the sub unit system in kpop. They have different sub unit group. Super Junior M is one of them. Since M focused on the Chinese community, they added Henry & Zhoumi to the M sub group.

I’m still conflicted with the kyuhyun and radio star. I know it’s scripted but people have said he can just say no to saying those mean things
He's under contract with radio star. Probably being sued and fined or maybe being black listed from hosting any program for not following the script. Furthermore he is new in the field of hosting. If I'm not mistaken, radio star is the first program he hosted. If he make problem in his first program, who will hire him later. Like it or not he have to follow the rule and wait for the end of contract. He did not renew his contract with radio star after completing military service.

Kyuhyun didn't have a SINGLE schedule before joining RS.. they said that he used to stay at the dorm all day, doing nothing...
He really wanted people to know about him, and joining radio star was good for his popularity...
Moreover it's not like kyuhyun brought all those scripts from his home... It's the producers that people should go after....

Believe me, when there are bills to pay, you have to follow all the instructions given by your superiors even if you don't like it. And because of that kyuhyun waited until the contract expired and left. Let’s say you as an employer and kyuhyun his contact terminate and involved with court case. Will you accept kyuhyun working with you because of his unprofessionalism? Okay the simplest example. How many times have your parents quit their jobs because they don’t like their employer? Or how many times they thought of quitting a job, but couldn’t do it because of the bills and there are responsibilities that need to be borne (you and your siblings)
