It would be great if they made auto deposits using automations. For example: every time you close your workout ring a $15 deposit is added to the savings account.
If you can't see the Savings Account option even if you have an active Apple Card. Check if you are on the latest iOS version. I had to update mine before I was able to sign up for it. Hope it helps ;)

I have been waiting 20 months for help with Apple Card issues. I’m sure its nice, but customer support is literally nonexistent

Was so excited to see this finally come! Higher APY than many expected. Even beating out Marcus (3.75%), who is also Goldman. Still not the highest interest people can get, But for many it will be great.

@@MrBrewman95 Of course! I’m very happy with the Apple credit card, the user interface is beautiful compared to other bank apps. Easy to use, no logins etc.
I myself have a marcus saving high yield account and my account now is making 3.90 APY on it so really i mean idk if i would run out and sigh up to apples savings account i find this to be extremely sad that apple is trying to get into the banking industry this is a brand that i do love using there products but its a line i feel there crossing and the fact they want to also be your banker to me just does not put a good feeling into my mind at all.
@@joseph10704 has apple ever done anything to ruin your trust in them? They have been responsible w your entire life (if you’re an iPhone user) forever. Never an issue. Photos, passwords, banking info, personal info, etc. the large banks are far more untrustworthy…. Based on their own track records!
My current bank savings account is paying a measly 0.02% - I've immediately moved all my money in to this account. This is fantastic. Thank you Apple.

I also move a huge amount of money from Chase to Apple Savings . I just hope it’s not hard to withdraw the money Incase of a emergency.

PayPal Savings is at 4.15% too. I don't even see the option on iOS, and I have the latest version.

Was easy to set up my Savings account and transfer my Apple Cash balance to the account. I also added money from my linked bank account to check out that ability. The current APR being paid is much better than the 0.00% on my checking account balance so my plan is to transfer much of the balance I keep in the checking account into Apple Savings. I'll next test transferring from Apple Savings to my checking account (how long the transfer takes).
I have an Apple Card account already and have the latest firmware and there’s still no option to open a savings account.
I love the Apple Card and I have just opened an Apple Savings account. I wish both would integrate with external platforms like Rocket Money, Empower, Quicken, et al. That would be a perfect world 😊

One of the most annoying thing about CIT's app is they log you out and you can't even faceID back on. Every app update you need to remember yet another password. It's simply not as streamline as the Apple Savings account. Not only that but I always recommend people to diversify especially since the FDIC will only insure $250k.

My classic brick and mortar bank giving me 0.03% interest in my savings. And that was considered their “high yield”. Yeah moved my savings to Apple. Quick and easy.

I still don’t have that feature when I go into my Daily Cash
they need to add some security to the wallet app. Anyone can just open the app look at all your information without having to put any passcode or password of any kind, before I enter any bank account I need to enter email and passcode and a 3rd party authentication. The Wallet app and Wallet settings needs the ability to create a separate passcode to enter the app and the settings that's very important information that's just wide open.

Nobody can just open it and with double click on the power button you can turn it off also the wallet doesn’t show any information from your cards just the last 4 digits unless you have the apple card you can see more but still can’t do anything with the money, there’s no important information there that is wide open

I opened an Apple Card Savings account last night and it was very easy to do. Minor glitch though... I didn't get the pop-up to transfer my Daily Cash. It turns out I never verified identity on my Daily Cash account. Once I did that I was able to transfer my Daily Cash directly to the Apple Card Savings.
Where can I find this savings account

It’s 10 times the National interest rate avg because banks pay extremely low interest on liquid investments. It’s equal to current 2 year treasury rates so no big deal

Setting up this new account requires your full Social. Does this affect your credit score in any way?
I think they are using the same information that you gave for the Apple Card so it shouldn’t affect credit. The Social is for the IRS

Signed up before this video was over and transferred my Apple Cash right away since I never knew what to actually do with the Apple Cash so now it can sit and earn some interest instead. Finally. Thanks for the video. Been waiting for this feature.

Can someone explain this to me. Like what I may be interested in doing this and pros and cons? I don’t know much about this kind of stuff but want to and am interested in this I think.
If you have an Apple Card, it will deposit any daily cash you recieve when you make purchases into this savings account that can yield more money than most savings accounts per month.
Otherwise you can use it like a traditional savings account and deposit money from your bank or if someone sends you Apple Cash any time you’d like.

My credit union pays 4% so its not that unbelievable. Banks just keep most of the money.

What happens if your phone gets stolen? They would have the keys to your savings if they got through the unlock.
It’s not simple to get through the unlock . To get through the unlock is as difficult as getting through your banking app password

4.15% APY isn't bad, but a ~10% yield with mutual funds/ETFs is better ;)
Sure but there’s still plenty of uncertainty in the market right now, no way to know you’ll actually see a 10% yield
Problem is with Mutual funds, you don't get the liquidity.

Pretty sure if that happened many banks would go out of business LMAO 😂. I only use Navy Federal and even I would choose Apple over them. And they are amazing

You have to open an Apple Card account first and then opening a savings account is available.

Should also add this account doesn’t have wire transfers, limits transfers to $10,000 per transaction and no more than $20,000 per week. While that’s fine for simple savings, it’s probably not an account you want to use if you plan to make large transfers. EDIT: For Apple Cash, that is.
I don't think anyone would use this saving account for apple cash. They usually transfer money from / to the main banks without any limit.
4.15 is good. The comment that it is 10x the national average is a bit misleading. There are other savings that give you a good APR as well. Overall, it is a good option.
I think Apple will be going after the big banks that only offer 0.01% Like Chase. I get 0.01% so i will definitely be going to Apple.
