How does a student with five subjects and gym carry everything with them at all times? Where do they put their items go when they have to go to the restroom? Logistical questions.
Some parents... Smh. They complain about them taking away backpacks and lockers,but they also complain about crime. I have seen firsthand teenagers with REAL guns in their backpacks,it's a very real thing especially nowadays. Do more to monitor your kids instead of automatically assuming they aren't the ones who do stuff like this. Even if they don't, the fact that others do is enough to warrant this type of effort from the school system unfortunately. We didn't have lockers and we were just fine. We've also had some random dog searches and had to be searched by medal detectors. It's unfortunate, but so are senseless crimes and activities. Besides the end of the school year is next month. Smh.
When I was in school we didn't use backpacks. But I agree with the one woman if they do want one let them use a clear one. Not having access to use lockers however is ridiculous.

Metal detectors and two cops at the entrance should be enough to confiscate or deter deadly weapons.
