Installing A French Drain | Redirecting Water

In this video I have a water erosion problem. The water from the roof at the condo come out in two gutters. One of the gutters dumps water onto some ferns and both gutters dump the water at a lower level than the ground around them. That has caused the ground to erode. I install two catch basins and a French drain (a pipe with cuts to allow water to enter in). I use gravel to stabilize the soil and allow water to enter into the drainage pipe.

Great video! Don’t forget to put a drain cap at the end of the pipe to keep the creepy crawlies and pest out.
