    Best things to do in Acadia National Park | Bar Harbor, Maine
    If you're in Acadia National Park, you've got to do the Park Loop Road, Cadillac Mountain, Thunder hole and mix in a bunch of their hikes - Bee Hive Trail, Precipice Trail, and Jordan Pond Trail just to name a few! Bar Harbor is also a really cool town with shops and restaurants galore! And a trip to Maine can't be complete without a few lobster rolls!! We tried 3 different styles and places and weren't disappointed! Our favorite was The Travelin Lobster!
    We stayed at two different RV Parks in Maine - Timberland Acres RV Park and Smuggler's Den Campground - both were great experiences that we'd recommend!

    I live in Maine. My mom lives in Georgia and when she comes to visit we got to Bar Harbor. We went to Jeannie's great maine breakfast. Been 2xs and we LOVE their food. And the people are so friendly there. Then we always eat at Stewmans lobster pound. Love Jordan Pond trail. And I've also hiked Dorr Mountain and gone on a wildlife tour on the boat. So many things to do there. The carriage trails in Acadia National Park are cool too.

    Yay, can't wait to watch this later with my husband! We look forward to your videos! As a side note, I would like to share our scary moment on the road just a few days ago. We were headed home after a week trip (in Maine btw) when we hit a big construction dip. I looked in the side mirror and thought I saw a cloud of dust kick up but was worried maybe we blew a tire. When we continued moving along smoothly I figured it was just dust. Until a motorist pointed at the camper. We pulled over on the side of a major highway to find a 3 foot section of underbelly ripped open, our heating duct spilling out and an unknown pipe dangling. With the danger on the side of the road we limped off the next exit to assess damage-dragging everything along. Seems we had a second grey tank we were unaware of (manufacturer's specs says one) under sink. That broke off and smashed on the road. We now need to replace that, fix the plumbing to it, fix the heat ductwork and re-cover the bottom of the trailer. Ugh.

      Hey Gigi! So good to see you in the comments again :)
      YIKES! That sounds so intense. Are you guys okay now? Did you get it fixed? Did it cost an arm and a leg? We just had to go to the mechanic for our truck and dropped another 1K 🙃 RV life is not cheap. Hope you’re ok!! Keep us posted

    I’m so envious, I want to live in Maine, or at least visit, but either right before or right after the tourist season. What I know of Maine is that Martha has a house there, lobster, Baa-ha-ba, and Maine Cabin Masters, and probably thousands of lakes. Where y’all going next, kiddos?

A little side note for the National Parks, download the Gypsey App. It will be the best money you have spent. It's your personal tour guide through any National Park you go through. Olivia, get off my man Nathan’s case about the lobster roll! He’s obviously a foodie, and the difference between a “lobster rueben” and a “lobster roll” is a “no duh!” I’ve had the roll, but I drooled during the Reuben scene. Can’t wait to get down to the Keys and git me one. 🤤

    Hi Welcome to Maine. Who in the world gave you 3 thumbs down!! They must be boring people! I'm sure you are probably not still in Maine. Did you make it to Lubec? Quoddy Head Lighthouse is beautiful. Great place to watch the sunrise. Sunset Point RV Park is right on the water and won't break the bank for a beautiful ocean view. I really enjoy camping at Lily Bay State Park in Greenville, Maine on Moosehead Lake. I grew up in Camden Rockport area. Just follow Route 1 from Rockland to Belfast. Nice coastal scenic drive with great stops along the way. PS My husband is a Maine Fishing Guide. Lots of fun. OH, there's also white water rafting in the Forks on the upper Kennebec River. We rafted with Magic Falls Rafting Company. Tons of fun! Would highly recommend them. Love your videos! Thanks for sharing. Safe Travels to you.

    What app do you use to find camp sites and places to camp the rv? Is there another app for your travel routes also?

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  2 роки тому

      Hey Monique! I just use Google to find RV parks, I only consider ones rated 4 stars and up usually and always read through recent reviews. As far as routes, we use “Truck Maps” to figure out the best route but then make sure we plug that route in to Google maps. Hope that helps!

      Clarification sorry (packed at the parks)

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  2 роки тому +1

      I would say, from our experience this year, that parks weren’t that packed overall. Of course the summer months May-August in popular areas could be very packed but I also found that a lot of those places had many RV parks to accommodate. As far as used RVs go, we have definitely noticed a crazy surge in prices since the demand has ramped up so much, it’s crazy! We thought it was tough when we got ours, but it’s only gotten worse since then. We were checking all the RV websites daily but it was tough. A lot of it felt like luck. I hope you find the right rig for you, we’re rooting for ya 🙌🏽
