In this video we explore Acadia National Park, Maine. We check out Jordan Pond, Beehive Trail, Precipice Trail, Echo Lake and adventure out to a freezing boat dock.
We camp in our RV right outside of Bar Harbor at the Timberland Acres RV Park & Smuggler's Den Campground.
And of course, we try another succulent lobster roll.

Hi Olivia! I’m the one that sat next to you on the flight from Chicago to Bangor! Love the post. I finally got over to Acadia on the 16th and looked for you (although I never expected to find you 🤣). Anyway we never got to the top of Cadillac Mountain because we didn’t know that we needed a reservation to park, ha ha Ha! So your videos helped me a lot as far as experiencing what views I could! Bar Harbor is an awesome place, but as you found out, it is quite busy in the summer. I'm just starting to watch your videos, but there are much better "Maine" locations (my opinion, obviously) to visit (Boothbay Harbor, Rockland on the coast). I'll keep watching to see if you made it to the best part of Maine (Baxter State Park).

I know…so many people 😂 But we did our best to work around it and get there really early or later to enjoy less crowds! We’d love to go back, never been to a place with mountains, coastline and beautiful lakes all in one place. I loved the foggy days the most! All the best Tim!
Great episode. I enjoyed Bar Harbor when I was there about 8-9 years ago. I drove to an island in New Brunswick at low tide, I thought it was the coolest thing, had no idea there were other places you could do this. Saw your Ted Lasso reference...you guys are fans too? Really good show. Damn, looks like the crowds are everywhere. We encountered this all over the west as well.

@@ONWorldTravel Oh, it sure is a great "feel good" show. Funny as hell. Such good writing. We just concluded 5 months on the road, 10k miles and 20 states. We're back in Arizona. Mihaela heads to Romania tomorrow while I'll stay put in Arizona for a bit to get caught up on content. While our last video was on New Orleans, we are a couple months behind real time. Most recently we were in Yellowstone, Tetons, Bonneville, St. George and Vegas. I actually head back to Vegas in a few weeks for the IPW travel conference. Have you guys been to any conferences? IPW is a good one! I've been to a lot, so if you ever have any questions, let me know. Cheers, Mike
Just found you guys while checking out Everglades airboat rides. We are on a timeshare month long vacation from Maine but camp during the summer so we have since Ben watching several of your other videos. Really enjoyable. F you ever find yourselves needing space or help in Maine again…let us know!

I'm local to Acadia...about 1 hr away..and have made the trip down about a dozen times this summer. The park has changed over the past decade, but you can definitely still avoid massive amounts of people. There are a number of other ladder trails to hit up rather than beehive. Dorr, beech being a couple of them..I also recommend giant slide trail..I hiked the north trail of dorr Mountain last weekend..and saw 1 group if 3 folks on the way up..and they didn't even see me. On the way down I took gorge trail and ran into a number of others. If you want any other hot tips, I'd be happy to discuss them. I'm on vacation this week and anticipate making a few trips down. Enjoy my playground!

Hey Michele! Woo! How exciting. That park was poppin during the 4th last year. We loved it! There's an awesome fresh pizza place called Pat's 2 minutes from the park. And Travellin' Lobster has GREAT lobster rolls. Theres like 100 places to choose from for lobster and we just google the best and tried 2-3. Have a great trip!!
Me and my fiancé have a trip to bar harbor planned this June, do you know if it’s this crowded in early June?
I heard it's not as bad as July and August. I'd recommend going there cuz the weather is good!
