Okay but to be fair to White Vision, in actual philosophy classes, if you're familiar with a certain topic, it's expected of you to summarize what it is in your own words. Because saying "yes" isn't necessarily enough depending on the situation. I've been in such classes, so, I can actually confirm that (though it also depends on which country you are). That and, well, the dude's an android. It's potentially natural for him to just explain things when asked.
@@twaggytheatricks4960 yeah but Vision and White Vision are literally the same, they KNOW they're both familiar with whatever one of them already knows. It was definitely just for the audience lol
@@romilrh Oh, that's not the part that I'm disputing. As in, that from a cinema-perspective, they did it for the audience. They are literally the same, yes, but they didn't know how much yet. The whole point of Vision even asking if White Vision was familiar with the Ship of Theseus is specifically because he didn't know if his white double was familiar with that particular philosophical conundrum or not. White Vision then would have explained out of reflex for the explained reason I provided (still an educated guess, of course). To give a real-life example: my brother and I both learned/watched various fictional and real concepts at the same time. We're around a decade and a half after starting our educational processes together, yet if he asks something like "do you know the Monster Chara Head trope?" (he asked me like... a week ago, I think) I am _still_ going to explain what it is to him after saying "yes", even though we both _definitely know_ that I watched and remember both the anime Needless, and the fact that said anime explains exactly what that is in episode 5. (FYI: a monster chara head is what happens when a new character in a story physically resembles another one and interferes with their screen-time when they become more popular than them.) So, as stated, what I'm bringing to attention here isn't that you're wrong; because you're totally right in saying that the explanation by White Vision is technically unnecessary for both of them, so it has to be for the audience. What I'm saying, however, is that to be fair, there are legitimately people who actually do this in real life, even in situations in which they shouldn't have to. Like, my brother isn't a clone of myself, but we literally watched the exact same shows at the exact same time and we both know I have a decent long-term memory. I shouldn't have to explain anything when asked by him of all people. ...Still gonna do it. Because that's part of how we communicate. It doesn't even take long, anyway; like, this comment is long, but the actual monster chara head explanation took me a single sentence.

“What is grief, if not love persevering?” That was such a profound statement. I remember looking across the couch and seeing a few teary eyes at that...
The world needs more Paul Bettany for real. WHAT PERFORMANCES! BEST MCU CHARACTER behind Ironman. Makes you think the wasted potential of debates with Tony and Bruce. But I guess they wanted to not repeat Jarvis and make him something else. The Ultron scene is gold. And the White Vision scene is what an epitaph should be.
I thought it showed such maturity on behalf of Disney, when they doubled down on Vision's death. You have to struggle through the molasses-thick emotional draw of the first time Wanda has to nuke the stone, and you mourn with her as she screams through it. Then Thanos shows up, rewinds the incredibly intimate sacrifice that the two just shared together, and so unceremoniously gouges out Visions forehead like a soft piece of fruit. It all felt so violating and real, you think you at least got to grieve with some modicum of emotional closure because Wanda and Vision were able to end it on their terms (what was left of them at least, in a theater of war), and then Thanos reaches through the screen and practically yanks that closure away from you, promptly spitting on it. I also appreciate how they handled Vision confronting himself, because at first the fists get to flyin' and the lasers start peppering the sky, but the writers still remembered to retain Vision's canonical pragmatism and forethought. The way he disarmed himself was nothing short of poetic, and that hardly has anything even to do with the dialogue. I just love that they didn't betray his nature, and have him brawl it out for 30 minutes to a stalemate. It felt very intuitive even how the real Vision stopped to actually listen in the middle of a fight, because of course a being as intelligent and strategic as the Vision would respond that way to such a sound argument.
Beautifully written, The_Traveler. and perfectly true. Even though hex Vision was created from the Mindstone inside Wanda, he was true to his original character. Easily the best written Disney+ show.
His bit sitting on the couch at 0:40 shows that he is, really, only a couple years old. If taken at face value, the argument that strength invites challenge, which causes conflict, which causes catastrophe, the only way to have peace would be to adopt weakness...contrary to the example of all of history, where weakness invites domination.
I realize that his line about trying to understand the Mind Stone is like a microcosm of humanity's experience. We come into this world curious and afraid, sometimes cowering, but often grasping out at what's around us in an attempt to figure it out until we get a grip. We figure that thing out, and we make it ours. Or we don't, and but a big no on there until the next time we try.
Vision understands what it means to be human better than humans themselves

Vision could be so powerful. But he's reluctant, he didn't ask for, nor did he desire that power. He remains humble. Kind of love that about him.
I can’t wait for Vision to return and for these 2 to meet back up
Vision is one of my favorite avenger he is very poetic
" So long darling."
This, this one breaks my heart.
I really like how Vision seems more human than most
“What is grief, if not love persevering?”
That was such a profound statement. I remember looking across the couch and seeing a few teary eyes at that...
I could spend hours hearing Vision's discussing wisdom with White Vision.
The way he looked at Wanda at 1:31 🥲 Gosh I love them
When a synthetic android with an advanced AI is more human than humans today
Vision, my favorite Marvel character. Thanks for this great video, TheGamingBros.
I don't think anyone other than Paul Bettany could play Vision like that.
That really goes for most of the MCU cast.
Vision and wanda will always be my favourites
Ultron: "You're unbearably naive!"
Vision: "Well, I was born yesterday."
The emotional backbone of the MCU comes from Wanda and Vision.
Tony and Peter could never.
I want Paul Bettany to narrate a documentary. His voice is so incredibly soothing.
Vision had me crying in the club
I could listen to Paul Bettany reading a TV manual or an encyclopedia. His voice and accent are absolutely magical
I am crying, the scene where they say good bye gets met every time.
00:55 Makes me feel the same about our brains and consciousness. We arise from it and yet understand little about it
Always love Visions
Vision: "I just wanted to see you clearly"
Wanda: "And?"
Vision: "And there you are"
I really liked Vision in full Paul Bettany skin like in 1:17. I wish they had done more scenes like that in WandaVision.
Vision is truly underrated.
Vision was such a great character with some of the most profound and poignant lines throughout the MCU.
His bit sitting on the couch at 0:40 shows that he is, really, only a couple years old. If taken at face value, the argument that strength invites challenge, which causes conflict, which causes catastrophe, the only way to have peace would be to adopt weakness...contrary to the example of all of history, where weakness invites domination.
vision: im just gonna speak for myself *stutters*
wanda:it works
vision: it works
1:15 love how he look at her in her eyes 🌟🔥
I realize that his line about trying to understand the Mind Stone is like a microcosm of humanity's experience. We come into this world curious and afraid, sometimes cowering, but often grasping out at what's around us in an attempt to figure it out until we get a grip. We figure that thing out, and we make it ours. Or we don't, and but a big no on there until the next time we try.
