Good. As a Michigan fan, I felt bad for McCord. He played really well last year and then was used as a scapegoat by a scared coach and a frustrated fan base.
Wow. Thank you. You're about the only one giving Michigan any praise. Everyone else is talking about how Ohio messed up. I understand both perspectives, but good for you for recognizing that Michigan wasn't going to lose this game under any circumstances. Brothers fight for their brothers. Paid players fight for pay 💛💙💪🏆🏈
At half time an Ohio Student kicked a 31 yard field goal for $10K in tuition. LOL. A student from the stands made a field goal the Ohio kicker could not make.
Meantime at Syracuse, Kyle McCord threw for 380 yards, 3 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Like Nick Saban said, you've got to pay the right players.
Yeah no it has nothing to do with players and payment. Ryan Day has proven he isn't up to it. He doesn't know how to build culture and teach his players the intangibles required to ball out when it matters
It was a beautiful train wreck of a game from Ryan Day, the man that just keeps on giving happy feelings to all Michigan Wolverine fans across the world.
Josh, I have listened to about a dozen national podcasts since the game finished yesterday Michigan beating Ohio State, I have to say that yours is the best of all. The reasons are you have given the most accurate measurement of what really happened in that game. Many people have not given Michigan credit for having much better coaching by Sharone his coaches as well as much better preparation by the players. Also, Michigan’s coach coaches and players had the best game plan to beat the team they were playing on that day, Ohio State. You are right that they are tougher, physically, and mentally and were prepared so by their coaches. That is Michigan’s culture! Even though their talent was probably only 70% as good they one because they have a much bigger heart. They all bought into the Michigan culture, promoted by all the Michigan coaches and the program that they must be the strongest toughest and being willing to Will themselves to victory. Thank you for seeing through the details to come out with the most correct and truthful message.
Random fan: “How much do the gold pants pendants the Buckeye players get when they beat Michigan cost?” Michigan fan: “I don’t know but more than $20,000,000.” 😏 Go Blue!!!
If this michigan team had a offense they would only have 1 or 2 losses and in the playoffs, amazing defense. Great game and was real fun to watch. GO BLUE
“This game is a war, and any time there’s a war, there are consequences and casualties, and then there’s the plunder and the rewards that come with it. That’s what it is. -Crying Ryan Day-
Ohio had 60mins to fight on the field, yet they chose to act tough once the game was over. You don’t want a flag planting in your stadium, then win your game, ffs! You would think after 4 years of losing, they would learn how to do it
As a Michigan fan ; I could not believe Ohio State did not seem to have watched any scouting reports on Michigan. Sometimes coaches make coaching too cerebral!! With 3 elite Wide receivers I would have thrown the ball ‘ all the time’ Michigan has a good defense but see what happened against Texas and Oregon …. They got tired!
I watched Day just stand on the sideline during the fight and do nothing. Moore was out there trying to break it up. Day is checked out and needs a change of scenery.
If you truly have watched OhioSt this entire year, this isn’t some huge shock. OhioSt has had long stretches this year of mediocre play. I still think they are a top-8/10 team but there has to be concerns offensively and not just with Chip Kelly as the OC.
Michigan was missing their best players. The starting 3 corners were all 2nd and 3rd stringers. The safeties haven’t tackled well all year. Texas shredded Michigan by going fast and getting to Michigans 2nd string d line. Washington did the same thing. Absolutely mind boggling that OSU tried to man up against Michigan and not throw the ball all over the place.
I keep hearing about this talent advantage OSU has had the last few years and then I look at the draft and see way more Michigan players being chosen by NFL franchises. Maybe your ranking at 17 isn't the end all be all.
If I didn’t know better I’d say Chip Kelly hasn’t called plays in over a decade. oh wait… As far as firing Day, never quit your job without another one lined up.
Remember when we were on the wrong side of this rivalry and Ohio State fans wanted to give Harbaugh a lifetime contract when he couldn’t get over the hump??? Loving to be on the side that wants to give Ryan Day a lifetime contract 😂
Things got ugly on the field between the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday in Columbus following U-M’s 13-10 upset, its fourth-straight win in the rivalry. Both schools have been fined $100,000 as a result by the Big Ten as a violation of the league’s sportsmanship policy.
I really think the key was very poor play calling by OSU on offense. They kept running up the middle...into the only real strength UM had, which was their D line.
I agree with the overall talent stuff but those 2 1st rd D tackles for Michigan were the best 2 players on the entire field!! The other 2 1st rd guys didn’t even play GO BLUE
Go Bucks forever and always! Yesterday was the worst loss in Ohio State history. Hats off to ttun for doing the impossible, but Ohio state coached a out of character, absurdly conservative game. The entire game Ohio state attacked michigans strength with zero success, it was very difficult to watch. I’m sick, but today is not the day we fire Coach Day. If we make a deep run in the playoffs, and WIN a natty, I think coach Day will have redeemed himself. Go Bucks!
You Buckeyes are out of your minds. The new upcoming great coaches want nothing to do with the historic top two teams in any conference. Why? Spoiled rotten, never satisfied alums and fans. Why go there? Instead go to a middle- low table team with NO expectations, use NIL and the portal and become a heroic god, like Cignetti. OSU, USC, Bama…why go there? That is now nuts. The fans still don’t get the revolution of NIL/portal and how it has changed EVERYTHING. Or keep firing coaches because they have one bad game or a bad practice, and accelerate your demise.
It should be pointed out that it's not just a Michigan problem. It's also that Day has lost in the playoffs and lost bowl games outside the playoffs. They have lost to quality our of conference teams (i.e. Cristobal coached Oregon team). Day's great winning record is almost exclusively built on going undefeated against the rest of the Big 10 and easy out of conference games. If that is what Ohio State fans want then fine. But the Day track record is becoming well established as to what you will get from him.
All the pressure on Ryan Day is going to make it damn near impossible for this TEAM to succeed! They've been taught and are being told even if they win the title, it's a failure, but hey, Ryan may get to keep his job! Where is the positivity for them? What's it that's going to give them any belief they can do this now after one day I guess the whole place is burning down lol
Ryan Day just guaranteed a HUGE extension after the loss, at home, to the unranked Wolverines. Their fans and school AD love doing nothing for nearly a decade.
Ryan Day took the job knowing there is one criteria, beat Michigan, 1-4 doesn’t do it. Note: If you build a team that can pummel Michigan, you will have a National Championship caliber team.
Here is another problem that you guys keep overlooking, over the last four years UM has had more NFL talent than ohio. Also, there is a question of talent over chemistry. Similar talent with better chemistry and better coaching will usually win.
OSU did every possible thing they could to lose that game. Eventually the terrible picks by Howard ALL year would catch up to them. Can't make FGs inside of 40 yards. Dropped passes. Can't run the ball. The fact they only lost by 3 is a miracle. Any bad words towards the OSU defense are a joke given they were put in terrible situations all day long.
Michigan has been horrible on offense the entire year. Brand new offensive line, 3 QB circus with our very talented tight end the leading receiver. Not to disparage the buckeye defense, but they gave up the plays and the last half of the fourth quarter that they needed to make to keep the game where it was at and have their office win it. Back to the matter is they did not.
JD Pickell talking about OSU as “we” was actually news to me (maybe I’m the only one). Still, it’s disappointing to me. Thought he was pretty good; now I realize he’s a stickin’ Buckeye. Bummer.
Lets invite more teams into this playoff....12 isn't screwing things up enough already. 10-2....can't even win your own conference championship.....but you get to play for the National Championship. What B.S.! A big shout out to all the money grubbing bastards who are well into the process of destroying the college football regular season....a regular season that has been the best in sports for decades and decades. If Georgia loses again....then you will most likely have a 3 loss team playing for it too. Disgusting.
P.S. The reason OSU lost is because Mike McDonald-Jesse Minter built the Michigan defense for one purpose....to beat OSU. And Wink just carried out what was already in place yesterday.
Is anyone going to call out the play calling? Run plays on 2 third and longs in the 4th quarter in a close game? Our 2 minute offense worked. Run that offense the entire second half and we win. But no, Ryan Day has to try to beat them by running the ball. Horrible.
Now, Ohio State fires him and finds a coach that can’t be bought-out for this game….as for the brawl? only one thing started it: Michigan should have left the field and been satisfied with their controversial victory(refs were as bought out as Ryan Day), they decided to do the unthinkable with their banner! THAT is what made OSU react! classless winners is something college football needs to fix!
Let's make sense of it. Ohio is soft they got exposed they are good players, not a team. Rza said said it best. You couldn't punch your way out of a wet paper bag with scissors in your hand. 😂 Caleb loves losing to Michigan by the way. Big Ten needs to suspend those Ohio players for starting a melee. Just saying if it was flipped you know it would be crucify Michigan. So now we can lose but since its a rivalry we can snatch flags and try to fight. After we just got done being beat up for 60 minutes.
Even if we win the natty, it doesn’t allow me to forgive Day and Kelly choking and leaving our offense unprepared in The Game… been a day supporter even with the last 3 losses, but now, with four losses to ttun, it’s time to move on to someone who doesn’t have a ❌ichigan problem
