Yeah, there was one guy they always used in the show who played a bodyguard or goon (big guy, black hair with mustache) who got killed so many times it was silly, yet you'd always see him again playing another goon only a few weeks later. Most of those same Vice people also appeared in Burn Notice. I know other TV shows would do this but Vice did it so much it was just plain humorous :)
"New paint, new rubber". Crockett wasn't lying, the white car was actually the black car in the previous episode. The black one was repainted white because it would not show up well during the night scenes, and it was the close up, low risk stunt car. The high risk stunt car was actually a reskinned DeTomaso Pantera, with special controls for slides, etc. They actually sped the film up when that car would appear, it was easy to spot with the wide wheel/tire combo.
He appeared as a clerk in "Cool Runnin'", "Calderone's Return (Part I)", and "Give A Little, Take A Little", according to Miami Vice Wikia. There were some other actors used in different roles too., such as Tommy (the mechanic).

tubbs had a song! it was called rico's blues and it was by jan hammer. you can hear it in the ep great mccarthy where vanessa comes down the steps and some other ones too. i like it...very smooth
Still one of the most beautiful cars in the world. Too bad it was discontinued such a long time ago... This always saddens me when such beautiful products get discontinued. I mean, without having the Testarossa, Diablo, or real Porsche 911 in production anymore, even if I were a millionaire, there's nothing good to buy these days.
At least the Testarossa in the still shots was real. That car was the one Enzo sold the show, on the assurance the Daytona would be killed off. For stunts, they used a Testarossa mockup based on a De Tomaso Pantera. Enzo approved because that mockup was destroyed when the show stopped
iv always felt that when they destroyed the car the show never was the same that Ferrari\vette had something about it that the testarossa never had it had passion.
Plenty of the Testarossa episodes had scenes with the "sped up film" of the stunt car. Anybody care to back me up? Those scenes used to piss me off! lol
1:00 "Look, there comes my new car!" (Is it true that they really just repainted this black Testarossa in white and then used it throughout the rest of the series, for it should look more different to the previous Daytona replica?)
im not sure if Enzo took the original TR's back to italy, i believe they were on loan to the MV crew. But if someone finds a TR of this year in white with the inside of the doors black they hit Miami Vice Gold!
And Jeremy Clarkson said its the worst looking ferrari ever, called it a dog. I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. For me probably the greatest ever car of all time
The black dude at 4:16 was in one of the first few episodes as one of the vice cops who got killed during a meet. Can't remember specifically which episode but I remember it was before their first lieutenant, "Lou", was head of the Vice unit prior to Castillo's arrival.
QUESTION: In the Ferrari clip that appears at 9:30, which Season 3 Episode is that Clip From? I would really appreciate if anybody knows the answer! Thank You!
No, Jan Hammer almost never played guitar stuff on MV. fucky0ubich (6 months ago) What is the name of the song @ 6:34? Thanks. thogrebb (6 months ago Steve Jones"mercy"
It's probably one of my few gripes about the show, as it can be confusing seeing someone you remember in another role. Granted other shows have done it as well.
Castillo in Airwolf... WOOOOW 👍👍👍👍👍
This tv series will never go out of style
I love Miami Vice more than any 80s tv show. Put more epsiodes on here :) I been looking for more to watch on my new ipad lol.
Testarossa was always one of my top 10 fave cars of all time, ever since early 90s ...
Testarossa design fits wonderfully with Miami art deco
That helicopter at 1:16 sure looks a lot like airwolf. Perhaps a cameo?
The Ferrari Testarossa had such an amazing handling, that wide wheel base help alot.
Thanks for these clips from the third season.
A good compilation of scenes.
The best season

The first show that made men decorative! WOOT! Not to mention fundamentally changed visuals in series. Finally the set was a part of the mood! GENIUS!
Testarossa is great, but "Daytona" looks better in chases, they didn't speed up video in chases that much in first two seasons.
"New paint, new rubber". Crockett wasn't lying, the white car was actually the black car in the previous episode. THIS EPISODE USES THE BEST APPLICATION OF SONG 'CROCKETT'S THEME'
"340 hp..."I guess the US version lost some HP compared to the EU version wich had 390 HP. Probably It was all about the catalysator.
whoever put this on here...u rock!
Miami Vice einfach Klasse
Same here, it was my #2 fav car when i was kid in the 80s, after the Countach!
No stream has Miami Vice series , why god , why?
No, it's actually Andy Taylor (Duran Duran) when he was doing his solo gig back in the day.
He appeared as a clerk in "Cool Runnin'", "Calderone's Return (Part I)", and "Give A Little, Take A Little", according to Miami Vice Wikia.
There were some other actors used in different roles too., such as Tommy (the mechanic).
2:30 Laughter. I still remember that scene with Castillo in his unsurpassed laconicism and conciseness and brevity.
Thank you for uploading the full chapter.
👏👏👏
whoever put this on here...u rock! oh yeah that car rocks!!!
Still a gorgeous car......20 years !! on.
Now 31 :P
Она и сейчас бомба... В 2022..не по тх конечно.. Просто легенда..

Paul Gleason (aka Principal Richard Vernon in 'The Breakfast Club') playing Berrigan in this episode! RIP Paul!
tubbs had a song! it was called rico's blues and it was by jan hammer. you can hear it in the ep great mccarthy where vanessa comes down the steps and some other ones too. i like it...very smooth
That's a Bell 222 without Airwolf's bodykit!

The "Daytona" was a 81 corvette. The testorossa's were real. I was involved.
Oh yeah?
Them Enzo gave them a real Daytona
anto B No Enzo gave them a real Testarossa

In the pilot movie was a real Daytona.
340bhp?, thought Testarossa's had 390bhp, was it strangled by American emission laws?.
Black ... White ? Black ? ... xD
this Car drives me crazy ! The Best Ferrari ever in the coolest TV Program :)
what's with the wing -mirror being so far above the window sill of the door??
lol i love crocketts spiel on his daytona, trying to woot over the captain, and the captains like: its out in the back hahaha love it!
iv always felt that when they destroyed the car the show never was the same that Ferrari\vette had something about it that the testarossa never had it had passion.
THX...sadly there is no chance to get the instrumental version...
Classic 80s. fantastic editing perhaps62 : way to works the wheels of steel ;-)
Excellent I love this show! Thanks
Isn't the song in the background from Leonard Cohen? That was my fathers (r.i.p.) favorite artist. It sounds like Cohen, I like this song.
Mercy is one of my favs
Plenty of the Testarossa episodes had scenes with the "sped up film" of the stunt car. Anybody care to back me up? Those scenes used to piss me off! lol
it was the premier episode of the 3rd season and called "when irish eyes are crying" guest staring liam neeson. cheers
1:00 "Look, there comes my new car!" (Is it true that they really just repainted this black Testarossa in white and then used it throughout the rest of the series, for it should look more different to the previous Daytona replica?)
Sped up when the Pantera appeared? Where?
2:33....it is the same cop station in The Specialist with Sylvester Stallone!
im not sure if Enzo took the original TR's back to italy, i believe they were on loan to the MV crew. But if someone finds a TR of this year in white with the inside of the doors black they hit Miami Vice Gold!

Loved Miami Vice. Loved the characters. But i always find the voice of Don Johnson very strange.
I saw a yellow 512 the other day in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Very nice car.
What about season 4 and 5 of the testarossa?
what's the song of the minute 3:36 aproximate? This song makes me feel good, awesome serial TV!! THE BEST
2022 and I STILL want that White Testarossa…
Awesome car but why didn't they paint to red instead of white?
The police helicopter looks a lot like Airwolf from the 1980s. Any coincidence?
Why does the car only have 1 mirror ?
Hey dude, have you figured out what song that was...I'm trying to make a Jan Hammer collection for myself...those guitar chords are pretty badass
i mean the sequence or scene where they are set up and the car blows up!

Dare I say it? Castillo running aerial surveillance onboard Airwolf. Lol
some killer scenes with the Testarossa in them. Only have seen one of them in person and i almost started licking the hood lol.
If Ernest Borgnine had been in the back seat of that helicopter then it would have been no problem to get a missile on that testarossa!
No, Jan Hammer almost never played guitar stuff on MV.
fucky0ubich (6 months ago)
What is the name of the song @ 6:34? Thanks.
